MTH has been around since the late 90's early 2000's. MTH has been a huge influence in the Japanese music scene. Their female drummer Nao has been a huge inspiration for female drummers like Akane from Band-Maid. The band Hanabie started as a MTH cover band. You should definitely check more of their music out.
The American movie "The Ring" is a remake of a Japanese movie called "Ring"

Already loved Atarashi Gakko and this dude went hard! It's now on my get pumped list
MTH and AG! might have very different musical styles, but they both challenge Japanese norms and so share a philosophical outlook making this a great collaboration. The melodic parts were originally sung by Noa, the drummer, and so it's natural to have AG! sing those and Noa still gets to sing the final verse. The biggest change to the original version of the song is the inclusion of the shamisen and Rin's rap and Suzuka on the megaphone with AG! headbanging on top of the tori gate is a great image.
You should definitely do more AG!. I recommend "Atarashii Gakko - The First Take, Otona Blue".

Reminds me of..blah blah blah, this band is extremely unique and never heard a band quite like them. I understand if you hear things in their music as they hit a shotgun full of genres in one song. The best intro to MtH is assuredly Yoshu Fukushu.
