I love how it is said that good teams should beat up on bad teams but when good teams hit an area of the schedule which has weak teams they get punished for beating up on the bad teams.
@@curley22 correct, thanks for the assist, sorry i assumed the guys that follow baseball woulda understood that being the topic was the phils havent played anyone good
The Phillies won 90 games last year. This year they have had an easier strength of schedule, but SD was above 500 and the Phillies swept them. They also beat the Rangers last night which put them below .500. To say they haven't played teams above .500 is a little disingenuous. They have played the Padres, Rangers, Braves so far this year.
But they’re gonna play MILx2, BAL, CHCx2, ATLx3, LADx2, MIN, CLE, NYY, and KC. That’s much tougher than SD or TEX. You’re trying to knock down my point on a technicality 😅
I agree @donaldlewis567 how is this stat measured? If the Phillies sweep a team that came into the series above .500, and they leave under, what category does that go into? Maybe throw in some stats like what’s their record against pitchers with a sub 3 era? Whats their record when trailing after 6? Because there’s some good teams out there that even against bad teams, cant complete the comeback late.
Ye we recorded this before the Yanks second L. I don’t think the Braves are better than the Yankees without Strider. Given he’s out for the season, Yankees>Braves.

Honestly solid point. We’ll c over the next few months if they “were doing their job” or “taking advantage”.
For real this guy is def not going to many hits on this dumbass podcast
Because if i remember correctly and I do. The Phillies just hung 8 runs on the best ERA in baseball a a couple weeks ago.
The Yankees have the best ERA. They haven’t played the Phillies this year
@@ThePitchSW he’s talking about Dylan cease who had a top five era until Phils faced him

Also nathan, this is a actual game in real life. Not played on an analytical piece of paper.
U ever heard of the 2002 Athletics? The 2004 RedSox? The 2018-2023 Rays? Analytics beat the eyeball 90% of the time
Shame they’re done
Nerds who have no clue about intangibles and how the game is actually played. Grab a glove and play the game and then you can talk about baseball.

Lol you weren't kidding about unhinged. Obviously you haven't seen the energy in the bank this year.
You were saying?
Phils orioles yanks braves. Yanks jus gave up 2 days in a row. Not a best in league team

I agree.
