Prayers go to Tangatur, he was definitely one of the pillars of UCI on defense and serve receive. Props to Kniffin for making it work w/o him and going to 5 with one of the best teams in the nation!
@@lucaslam3482 did you see how bad LBSU beat uci in the big west? They’ve beat them once. Long Beach dominated the other two times they played them. Your opinion doesn’t matter when the facts are LBSU was the better team this season.
Wow, what an intense game! Felt like the national championship! UCI gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the tournament. Hats off to both teams! UCLA showed again why they are the defending champs! Helluva match!
Wow this was a close one. You could see UCLA was really struggling with the service pressure from Irvine. In the end UCLA managed to convert a lot of those OOS balls anyway and Irvine was really struggling with the UCLA block. Really curious how the final is gonna play out.
Last few years feels like I’ve been watching video game creations. Just feels like Cooper Robinson couple almost hit a 2 ball like a 1…jumping from the back row.
I watched this match live yesterday. The fact that UCI’s coach put an untested 6’1” freshman #14 in for over 2 sets as OH instead of an experienced 6’10” right side was unbelievable. #14 stuck out like a sore thumb. UCI had a chance.
yeah i also wondered why he didn’t put flexen back at oh and Darcy in as Oppo - I understand that they still won the first set with that but after losing the 2nd they really should’ve changed
For the past two years, UCLA and UCI has been my favorite 2 teams seeing on the court, you can't help but appreciate what each team's ensemble of players has to offer, UCLA has one of the most creative setters (Rowan - whom i've been following since his Balboa Bay 16s state volleyball days), and UCI's three tall players, one of them being a left hander, is just insane.
I only watch when I can on RUclips, but I had noticed Ido David hadn't been playing as much. Does anyone know why? Glad to see him getting time again here.
^ what Alex said. Libero can overhand pass as long as the next ball isn't an attack hit that's entirely higher than the top of the net. You most often see it called when a libero overhand passes and the setter tries to dump/tip right after
I know they started Tangutur because they wanted to shore up passing, but I'm still not entirely sure why Kniffin didn't put him in in Set 2 and shift Flexen to the outside. I think Kiriakou was supposed to be a passing sub (he only got set like once a set because Shewie had 0 other options), but theybwould have been better off using the proven D'Arcy over the freshman who hadn't seen much court at all.

pinned comments don’t show up as the first comment 😔
GCU vs UCI would have been one hell of a final I wanted to see at least one of the 2 teams get it
Rip😂

5:36 LMAO Champlin digs from the back row and fakes a middle swing. Cracked me up
What makes this even more funny is the fact that UCI's middle actually bites on the fake for a split second LMFAO
"good one" yes, yes it was. Best wishes to Tangutur, hope it's not too bad
Prayers to Akhil, my favorite player
a moomoocowjonny video is the only way I want to watch the championship match
Are the 2 best teams going to the ‘chip? Yep. Did we want to see either of them in the ‘chip? Nope. Rip GCU & UCI seasons😢
Idk, I think UCI is better than LBSU

It doesn't look like anyone can stop McHenry at the net (UCLA's 13). When the set is good he hits on 2 meter.
Very good too when blocking
having will darcy (tall oppo) to block merrick in the middle just shows how scary merrick is
It's works well !!

This ones on Kniffin. Just gave up easy sets 2 & 3 with a freshman that hasn't played at all.
Yeah idk why he didn’t put D’Arcy in immediately in set 2
You are both 10000% correct. I was there live. It was incredibly frustrating and surreal to watch.
16:05 is literally a spike
Its surreal seeing Andon Kirakou, a freshman from Durham Ontario, step up in the ncaa semifinal.
UCLA's setter could do things to me with those hands...
Hell yeah ❤❤❤

yeah, for the two sets, almost 90% of UCLA's serves (especially Roland's), aimed #14, the dude will never live it up after that.
yeah i also wondered why he didn’t put flexen back at oh and Darcy in as Oppo - I understand that they still won the first set with that but after losing the 2nd they really should’ve changed
Cause William isn’t that good of a passer and they can’t just switch out a oh and opp ina set but the second set yea idk how to explain thatv

Rowan
I think flexen had a underrated game and one of his best all season
Except for the last 5 points. He’s still one of my favorite players though. I’m rooting for him.
I think UCI would’ve won if Akhil didn’t get hurt
this one looks like a final to me; great match.
not having d'arcy in until set 4 is criminal 💀
I only watch when I can on RUclips, but I had noticed Ido David hadn't been playing as much. Does anyone know why? Glad to see him getting time again here.
I heard that UCLA oppo Grant Sloane got injured in warmups. Coach Speraw uses them both.
I hope UCI's 20 comes back to Europe. So much potential
He will, he plays with the French national team
He is selectionned by French national team for the summer :)
@@emileb4665 sweet. I'm excited to see him play
my glorious king moomoo!
20:05 that was definitely going out, but looked so cool
13:44 BRO TF THIS VERTICAL
13:34 Bros set was soo good, it faked out his own spiker 😂
man that 3rd set UCI was CRAZY!!
I feel that UCI would have won fairly convincingly if Kniffin didn't have a 6'1" freshman who has barely played over their 6'10" proven opposite.
Aways good to see henno (#20) playing
3:40 Why was the Libero allowed to use overhead here past the 3m line? I'm fairly new to volleyball.
He could overhand pass because he wasn’t setting an attacker, but sending the ball over I think

this video saved me
Holy crap that was a great match! Could have gone either way.
Still maintain if uci didn't get injured they would have won in a sweep
Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know for sure.
Amazing how USA produces incredible volleyball players...
I think UCI would have won if Tangutur played the whole match. Really hope he recivers quickly.
5:27 rally is great 👍
Merrick McHenry yam fest wtf
YOO 22:33 BLOCK WAS CRAZYYYY
עידו מאסטר של המכות הטכניות
You save us all
Can you post UCLA vs Long Beach?
Not a single doubt in my mind that if Akhil doesnt get injured cuz davids foot uci prolly wins in 4.
Fault in 24:44
Is Jared Leto a volleyball ref now??
SPOILER GUARD (don’t open the comments)
W
UCI wins this game if Akhil doesn't go down
Hawai'i fans will say that if Chakas hadn't gotten injured, they would have won the Big West.
What height of the net?
18:31 I’m sorry but what the actual fuck
Love the content. Just wish I could have watched at full volume. Hearing fans/student scream during serve receive is just obnoxious and annoying.
How is the name of number 20 UCLA? He's realy crazy outside hitter
Ethan Champlin, he’s playing with Team USA for VNL this year
i had a breakdown after irvine lost in 5
brother dont spoil in the comments like that, its pinned and is seen by anyone clicking on the vid:,)
L spoiler ☹️☹️
Nobody cares, stop ruining the video for people who haven’t seen it. Use your brain just a little bit more.
Good job u saved me half an hour
Dude you spoiled my video I was 7 mins in and going to thumbs up the video for the RUclips Algorithm and you screwed the video for me
cara é muita invasão deles por baixo chega dar agonia os arbritos não marcarem isso
passam o pé toda hora
Why isn't nolan flexen playing outside?
Let's go UCLA!!!!!
coollll
eu escutei um "passou quebrou"??
Wait this is the final
Who won???
Is Grant Sloane injured?
Yes. Saw him on crutches. Not sure why.
Rodriguez Nancy Davis Joseph Hernandez James
where was darcy?

Very first clip, guy shanks a pass straight backwards...and nobody followed the guy back who saves it...tells me everything I need to know about UCLA.
I unsubscribed when I saw that you pinned a spoiler comment
