it's just been unloved you can easily bring this back to looking good it will just take a lot of work .... if the leak is water then check under the spare wheel for water ingress as water can get inbetween the inner and outer skin and then end up dripping from the underside .... this could be due to bad rear bumper mounts letting in water or from around the rear hatch or rear lights
Also the fuel cap is no big deal just get a drill and drill out the lock and replace with a genuine part , god knows why the previous owner bought the wrong part when a fuel cap is like £20 quid on ebay or amazon , just seems to me the last owner ran it into the ground and like many people in the UK did not care about their transport , very sad for the poor 500
I agree , why do people treat their cars lke this ? Good example i own a beautiful looking 500 lounge in a modena yellow colour , but the previous owner never looked after it , Had to fix the gearbox clutch rear suspension handbrake etc cost me £1000 but now thankfully its driving well though i do need to change cambelt and water pump as its on the original parts at 86 thousand miles lol not good.
Two things stand out showing previous owner had couldnt care less attitude. Bank statements left in car and petrol can on back seat . Clearly ran on empty tank most days. No way this is a parts car Alex. Bit of tlc and you will turn it round, bet your glad it didnt cost Coparts usual big money though .
I would say there is way to much wrong with this car to make a profit. You say its a £500 car, but that is plus fees & delivery. Clean it & fire it back through copart.
Thanks for the leather boots, they fit lovely. 😀
Can see you now spraying bumpers in these Paul , good way to keep paint off your legs lol
Looking forward to the next episode.
Mention to buyer cambelt needs doing next year. Fair bit of life left in car. Maybe buy an ‘04 Panda fuel cap without a lock.
Not much wrong with it - what was you expecting for 500 quid, designer clothes.

I'd be trying a magnet on that rear quarter panel. It looks like an amateur filler job has been done at some point.
Fingers crossed for you.I always avoid the C’s and the Q’s usually someone else’s rubbish 🤞🏻👍
This car looks like it’s had a hard life judging by the state of the rear bumper paintwork and the pop bumper on the front 🙈
