What milage would you say is ideal to buy for 2011=2013? I am looking at 1.2 lounge with 80k milage purple colour would you say its good milage?

Wow, the amount of filth that came out of those seats, they look like they need another go at them as still some stains there. The fact it's from Luton, that about sums it up.

for that age that has been really poorly looked after. When washing seats i used a steamer as well to draw the dirt out then laid old towels over so that the dirt wicks into the towel rather than staying in the fabric

Do you never use a heat gun to remove the decals..?…any glue left over comes off with white spirit or 3M label adhesive remover.

ive got decals on my daughters car that run from front to back from the bonnet over the roof to the tailgate, they are faded its on a 2010 but not as badly as the ones on that. I commented before about how to remove them but based on your video i think i will just leave the ones on her car 🤣🤣

Also you know in the menu you can brighten up the speedo ? as mine was dull when i bought it so was lucky it just needed the brightness turned up lol

Also mine is the same i have 1/4 of tank in mine but its saying 37 miles but i can get easy around 70 miles on a quarter of a tank of fuel so yeah don't trust Italian electronics LOL

I finally got the handbrake fixed in my 500 , using a genuine OEM part mobile mechanic only charged £80 where as a garage wanted like £170 so why on earth the huge price discrepancies ? Anyway now that everything's been fixed I'm looking to sell mine for £2 grand and it must be worth that 2013 plate in a rare yellow colour with service history Mot Air con , Electric windows and mirrors , Alloy Wheels the Panoramic roof as its a lounge model , had its gearbox and clutch fixed too but sadly car dealers in my area are conmen one offered me a grand for it so i told him where to go lol Also i wish my lounge had the full leather seats as ive got those awful half cloth seats and they stain terribly , spilled coffee and yeah nightmare to try to clean it lol but you did alright on that 500

Hi Alex, cheap BMW. If I were you I would strip the front end down to see behind. As for the drivers and rear doors it may be cheaper to find 2 second hand doors. White is a fairly common colour. Also never buy a customer car from Copart. Stick to the ones with an X at the end of the number which means it came from an insurance company.

Hi Alex, very good looking car which i think is a bargain . Firstly i would give it a wash and mop to see if i could get some of the scratches polished out and see what it is like from there obviously the front bumper would need a respray. Get the alloys refurbished The interior would come up well with a wet vac but i think you will have to get a new rear compartment board as there is no way you will get that paint off, is there paint on the rear seats as well could not tell because of the sunlight? But would not cost much to get the rear seat re trimmed. Wait to hear what the drive issues are if any. There is an X2 Sport Cat s 19 plate on Auto Trader going for 14.5k so 4.5k is a very good buy. All the best.

Drive train issue could it be clutch slipping ? i am sure you will update us . Got to say not fussed on the bmw badges on rear pillars. Hope its not too serious to sort out Alex.

It's a very scruffy car and the front bumper and bonnet are not sitting right! 😒 With containers of water, anti-freeze etc I think you may have a leak/head gasket issue....... get some fuel in it and run it up to temperature..... fingers crossed he's not sewn you up!

i bought one of these almost identical for my daughter who is currently learning to drive. The only difference is the Red/Green decal is on the bonet roof and tailgate. They are pretty faded now, have you ever replaced decals like this ?

Its seems a regular thing now, I have had several cars recently from them that should have been Cat S and also damaged by the fork lifts when loading either tyres or steering components damaged

Passenger side front bumper clip needs repositioning, looks bad.

Handbrake cable on mine is broken ! final straw for me , these cars look great but they are built like shit , Gearbox is crap clutch is crap engine has no poke and is interference engine , I had same issue with the Blue and Me module , got the mechanic to just disconnect the wiring to it cost me £0 if i had got a new one fitted it would have been £200 , Im just gonna get shot of mine 2013 Lounge model in Yellow only done 86k with service history and mot to end of this year , Car Wow found me a dealer who will offer me £1800 so may just accept that , I paid £3 grand for it 6 months agoe and spent a grand fixing the gear bearings and clutch and rear shocks , dealer who wants to buy my car is not botherd about the handbrake not working as its only a cheap £40 cable that needs replacing , next car im getting will be an old Nissan Micra as i only want a reliable car not a money pit , I think Fiat when they built the 500 did not expect people to actually drive them on the road lol they are more the sort of car you park up and look at all day or take photos of lol

Driver's door and front wing colour seems a bit darker than the rest of the car. That was probably the Cat S previous damage. Regardless, it seems you got it at a good price.

Looks like a bit of a bargain there as most BMW X2's seem to have had an argument with a bollard and damaged the chassis and engine sump (It must be a BMW driver thing?) 🙃

My wife's 2011 500 was rear ended exact same damage. Car was fully drivable but was written off Cat N. It was just the wheelwell was crumpled but overall structure was ok . We took the money but it I saw it was fixed as was passed MOT. just needed a bit of panel work on the well and a new bumper .

I had the opposite problem where I bought virtually the same make and model from Copart as a cat s and believe it or not the only damage was a small ding the size of a five pence piece on the back wheel arch and as a qualified motor vehicle technician I could find no more damage. I even let two more qualified engineers and an mot station look at the vehicle and none of them could find the slightest problem either so with low mileage fsh and immaculate now with the ding repaired I have great vehicle EXCEPT I NOW HAVE TO SELL IT AS A CAT S !!! The saving grace is that I only paid £525 for it plus a new stop/start battery. The assessor’s really need to get their act together 😊
