If you do not want to stand outside as often, which side of the train do you recommend sitting on to go up? I know you see it in reverse going back down. I'm going there in 2 weeks.

The majority of the jaw-dropping scenery would be on the left hand side of the train as you are going up the pass. Also, I think you pay more attention on the way up because you’re excited to be on the train. Skagway is on the left side too. Watching other RUclips videos before we left also recommended the left side. What you might miss is the small waterfalls on the right hand side on the way up. You’ll love this excursion! I took a small bus tour up to White Pass on my last cruise 8 years ago, only barely crossing into Canada. I thought with the train I could see more. Your video is fantastic, thank you!
