It feels crazy to have been along with you for the entire new house ride. From setting up the Garrics rail to the fingerboard molds, you reference things and we’re like “oh yeah from a few weeks ago”, totally crazy.
I’ve been watching you for YEARS you’re definitely the Tony Hawk that got me into skating. These new videos are so awesome it looks like you’re really enjoying a great and positive new life. You the man!!
2 Ideas for the river. Skimboard why not.. Every time you go to the river, in a calmer place of water in the sun, you move a few stones and make a circle, like a natural swimming pool. In time, this will almost make a wall under the water, and the water will be warmer. It's a classic for mountain dwellers..And sometimes the local population follows the movement and you have super nice natural swimming pools, because each person improves by contributing their stone to the building.... And don't put a flat bar on top. That's enough of the rails above the rivers.😂
Authenticity is rare these days, and you have it in spades Garrett. I love skating, building things, I live in a similar landscape to you so it's relatable, but the authenticity is what keeps me coming back. Keep on keeping on and I'll be here to watch 🍻
Loved the video, I'm glad to say you've made me improve my life for the better, I got my welding certification and have been doing a ton of woodworking stuff as well! Thanks for the content can't wait to watch more of it.
Hey Garrett I think I have a solution to your s bench concrete obstacle, if you mix you’re concrete a little on the thinner side and get some sort of vibrating device and tune it as you pour it that should make all the concrete fill the mold and it will also vibrate the air bubbles out! Hope it helps! Love your videos man!
Your content has evolved into like you're just there with the listener and it makes it fun to listen and pretty much hangout with you. Anyways love the content you're killing it
Nice to see some improvement with that wavy ledge. I can't wait to see it once the trial and error phase is over. The other ledges look sick as well for "I have extra, why not" pours.
Reminder, for the duration of silicone molds. wash them in lightly soapy water. If I remember a little from my industrial molding classes. I think there are mold design errors. But I think it would be simpler to make your mold into one piece.... cut the silicone, the top part, exactly like the others..
I’d be curious what grit you’re using on the belt sander. To wipe out your logo that quick is crazy. I’d start at 220. Also use the radius end of the sander to clean up the top of the two piece.
21:27 Grab a measurement cup and follow instructions. In order to make smaller batches multiply bag in a 1/4 equation and divide instructions by that. Sorry its 100° where I am and im not typing write if that made no sense lol
Use an electric sander to vibrate the sides of your molds to make sure the concrete gets to evry edge and it should come out pristine, you could also use some mold release spray or olive oil
Maybe try a finer grit on your belt sander somewhere between 60-100grit it won’t eat as much material so quickly and it’ll put a smother finish on your concrete and if you really wanna go crazy you could polish it
seems like the curved 2 piece mold would work with just the one side of the mold would work and eliminate some of the headache of the leaks and discoloring where it connects.
You need rubber bands to tighten the mold and you should probably drill in a second air bubble at the other end of the top piece of the mold so you can push out the air
Pouring the 2 part mold might have came out better if it was poured on a level surface. I noticed the side with the nipple was the side that was facing downhill. That was the part of the obstical that had more concrete on it when you pulled it out.
Brooo you should watch @zach dowdy pool couping and DIY vids. Think he does some submerged in water which makes the concrete dry slower and rock hard (and smooth I think).
TBH that wave fingerboard obstacle should just have 2 rectangular legs that go the full width of the platform rather than circular legs. Then it wouldn't have to be a 2 part mold.
The P51 looks like a silly toy compared to the one I have, but mine looks like a toy as well so not much better lol (lectric 3.0)but that rear suspension makes me jealous as mine is hard tail
def add some chicken wire to the 1 side molds. the 2 part molds are impossible to do that with sadly but ya basically you poor half of it place mesh and poor the rest then shack and make even as you normally do
bro I never watched your videos before except the occasional TikTok but ever since you moved I can’t stop watching the new content keep it up man
Same haha literally never watched but I love watching all the stuff being done at the house
Wish more RUclipsrs/Content creators opened up more like you bro I know it’s a lot on all of you

And run the vibrator not tune💀
You could try taking a orbital sander with out sand paper on it to vibrate the molds to get the air bubbles out
These yapping videos have been amazing man. You are human and like connecting and we connect with you so keep doing what you are doing!
Put a couple exhaust holes throughout the top of the mold. Should let air escape better.

If he did that he would not be able to make the obstacle the same way
Loved getting to see more of the property and surrounding areas at your new home! Please show us around some more!!
21:50 “the only way to do something the right way is to do it the wrong way multiple times”
Words to live by, lol! 😂 love you man
9:00 yes you do! Thanks for responding to my question about the book!
Imagine fine glitter in the mix of concrete obstacles. That would be sick af!!
Yooo that would be sick! I do want to start messing with additives once I get the hang of it a bit more
keep uploading more fingerboard stuff mans its so cool

Another day another banger 🙏🏻
The Garrics is so sick best garage skate park yet!

24:52 You just got to let it cure longer if its more wet.
23:41 trowel at a 45 degree angle always
18:59 you should add a second vent on the cope! Cope is the top and drag is the bottom.
Yeah try wrapping the 2 piece mold with rubber bands it might help to hold it together better...
I don't want to be that guy but I don't socialize . You my guy are my Internet friend and I appreciate your content. Keep doing what you do .
17:18 we are with you on your journey so, it is a we thing!!
To settle the Crete, take a thera-gun to the board you have the molds. It should smooth out the bubbles.
love the vids more and more man! like the wingin it wibe, makes it more garrettie!!
Use an electric sander to vibrate the sides of your molds to make sure the concrete gets to evry edge and it should come out pristine, you could also use some mold release spray or olive oil
Hey Garrett you should do short mini finger board tutorials while doing a vlog❤️ ive been enjoying your content while im at work😂 helps me pass time 🔥
for sure, i am here to hang out, to live vicariously through you.
New content is awesome, 👏🏻 more fingerboarding! ✌🏻
Thank you!
Keep up the great content Garrett!
Maybe try a finer grit on your belt sander somewhere between 60-100grit it won’t eat as much material so quickly and it’ll put a smother finish on your concrete and if you really wanna go crazy you could polish it
You should make an s curve rail for the s curve concrete piece. Put the rail over that seam/ line. It'll be like a shadow.
seems like the curved 2 piece mold would work with just the one side of the mold would work and eliminate some of the headache of the leaks and discoloring where it connects.
This is my favourite version of GG but its shouldn't matter cause its about being happy for yourself, it shows outwardly through the videos too👍
Garrett you should try and find out/figure out an exact ounce measurement of water to use per bag so you can get them perfectly consistent
Love the content bro keep it up💯💯
Keep it up we like you're yapping boy!!!
I like the voice over aspect you should do it more on your runs like you were saying
Making exhaust holes for those air bubbles as far away from the pouring hole as possible, read: at the ends, would probably fix it real neatly
I’m gonna try this
i really likw these fingerboard videos
boys we on the 2 mins after posted vibeeee
Kudos to you walking the long way down to your skate park everytime, I would definitely just slide down the hill 😂
I've been looking at it, hoping he'll eventually grind that pvc pipe
beginning already got me dead😂
would be cool on that wavy finger board obstacle to install or glue on a rail over the seam are so it can be a used for multiple obstacles
Couple of extra holes in the lid of the mold for the air to escape 👍
All the love ❤️
sand the other side of the wavy obstacle and just make it thinner but symmetrical. measure from one of the legs to make it even
pour it at an angle with the funnel at the top. itll help the air escape easier
Fingerboard them already!🙏
Hey Garrett try and fill the mold half way then put top on and fill the rest see how it comes out
great video!
You definitely need to add a vent opposite the funnel. The vent will help the air escape.
I may have said this on another vid already but .....brother if you're having fun I'm having fun 🤟 😜
I pray you ship these to Canada
You need rubber bands to tighten the mold and you should probably drill in a second air bubble at the other end of the top piece of the mold so you can push out the air
W
Awesome video, very epic
Bro u live in paradise dude, congrats! Btw which watch do u use?
Thank you!! Garmin Fenix 7X
Nice thx dude 🙏🏻
yayyyyy headmount
Just a thought with the 2 piece mold. What if you pour the bottom first and get the air bubbles out. Then rubber banded and poured the top?!?!?
Try to get in the habit of recharging the batteries after use lol! Otherwise, Gabe is a very patient man
Maybe some Northern California camping content?
I LOVE camping and am so long overdue for a camping trip with some homies. I’d love to document that
you got bear spray? epic vid btw 🎉
@@SamSlugg456 i see, spray for any big predators in general 🫡
need to carry a bowie knife with you as well in case you get blindsided, once an animal is attacking they usually wont let go for anything.
Thank you for not going woke you're the one dude that I can escape reality and enjoy watching. Thank you
Pouring the 2 part mold might have came out better if it was poured on a level surface. I noticed the side with the nipple was the side that was facing downhill. That was the part of the obstical that had more concrete on it when you pulled it out.
Yep it somehow took me a while to notice the ground wasn’t level lol. I think another exhaust hole and level ground might be what I need
should get some mini angle iron to put on the ledges would look sick
So think should build like a outdoor fingerboard park
More vent holes lining that edge on the 2 part mold
Buy a nozzle for your water hose please. It will make your like so much easier and you're at the hw store all the time anyway :D
Most definitely sand when completely
dry. wet concrete will stick to the sand paper way faster
That river spot was worth the price of the house lol.
plans to do a kick stream again? Miss those
Brooo you should watch @zach dowdy pool couping and DIY vids. Think he does some submerged in water which makes the concrete dry slower and rock hard (and smooth I think).
W video
have you tried to vibrate out the air bubbles after pouring them?
Also make sure goggles when doing sander my guy (and all your equipment fyi, only takes one time 😢)
What kind of concrete do you use?
What was the “concrete” that u used called?
The curvy one needs an air hole at the other end too. I'm wondering why it is a two piece mold.
I know I'm too late but how about filling the void with an epoxy or clear medium?
ready for head🫡
When we going to see a garret ginner handmade finger board skatepark?
I’ve made a couple actually!
@@GarrettGinner i totally forgot about the one at the old house😅 duhhh
@@GarrettGinner the one with that lil curved tail gap.. that was sick how could I forget lol
garret brother please get a spray nozzle for your hose
TBH that wave fingerboard obstacle should just have 2 rectangular legs that go the full width of the platform rather than circular legs. Then it wouldn't have to be a 2 part mold.
Add another exhaust on the mold bro
Shout-out to personal life.
I'd buy the blemishes
The P51 looks like a silly toy compared to the one I have, but mine looks like a toy as well so not much better lol (lectric 3.0)but that rear suspension makes me jealous as mine is hard tail
Should one of us send you a hose wand for the water
can't sell them but it could be a giveaway 🤷
Hey Garrett, fingerboard pro tip: don’t leave concrete obstacles under the sun
No nuts to butts 5:32
def add some chicken wire to the 1 side molds. the 2 part molds are impossible to do that with sadly but ya basically you poor half of it place mesh and poor the rest then shack and make even as you normally do
uhh did the title just change? i was watching looked down and it changed in front of me
18:09 if you wanna laugh 😂
Let me workout and skate
