It ended as it should. Klay was not getting the honor/respect he wanted and Lacob was not going to get the performance he wanted -- they separate and everyone has a fresh start and hope for the future.

No way Steph leaves, but he should. We don't pull off Lauri trade then we have to resign Kuminga next year and commit to rebuild. Either we go for it with Steph or waste his talent rebuilding before he's washed. Simple choice that we are lucky to be able to make. Lauri wouldnt be available on pretty much any other team. Ainge not a genius. He was lucky in Boston. He has screwed and still screwing Utah.

I feel like there is too much talk about what everyone thinks lead to klay leaving. He is gone, the warriors currently have a mess of a roster, and the talk should be focused on real things that are happening right now. All this talk about how we think klay was feeling 6 months ago- doesnt change anything in the real world today. Its just noise.

Anyone who has watched Klay the last few years should be ecstatic he’s leaving for that money. Imagine paying a bench player that averages 9 points a game 50 million for 3 years…. That’s insane. And don’t give me you pay for what he did. Warriors have already paid him 191 million during his time with the warriors. In 2020 and 2021 he didn’t play a game and made 70 million. Bro has been beyond paid fair by the Warriors. Bro isn’t worth 10 million for 3 years now. Whoever decided to pay him that much haven’t watched him in years.

Evan, the Warriors only won 2 additional games the 2023-2024 year vs the 2022 2023. They were never a contender and only had a winning record against the worst teams in the league.
Most people will say they could've won more games had Draymond not missed so many games. However, Steph also missed 26 games due to injury the 2022 2023 season.
Essentially last year the team was not better.

  • @samdavis8765

The fans, this warriors team and this owner is why players should never take a discount. They see players as property and treat them as such. I was never a warriors fan, but I have been a splash brothers fan since the beginning. Joe Lacob is the same ownership that did Mark Jackson dirty. Joe Lacob has done nothing but brought a down franchise at the right time. There is no formula for sporting success. You get lucky or you don't. He got lucky with Steph and Klay, but that does not happen all the time.

    • @ninerempire3398

What a terrible take all around. But Marc jackson was an egotistical maniac that could only preach and couldn’t really scheme or be good with X’s and O’s . Lacob bought the warriors that were horrific and going nowhere. What year did you become a fan? I saw nothing but horrific times before lacob got here . Love klay and what he’s done , but he has fallen off significantly . Lacob is making the right moves to get better on the court. There is definitely a formula for sporting success, there’s no way you believe that. He drafted klay and brought in every player/coach besides steph that became a dynasty. These are just the concrete facts

@@angivens86 lacob, he made a mistake and replaced him with Kerr who became a dynasty coach. There were discussions about a lot of different trade scenarios but nothing was close. You’re acting like west hired himself 😂. Lacob got jerry west to come to a decrepit and dumpster fire like franchise , he convinced him to come here. Everybody involved gets credit but they also won a championship when he left with a brand new roster that west had nothing to do with . With a klay coming off of 2 significant injuries . Don’t try to discredit lacob now, that doesn’t make any sense . Especially if you were a fan before lacob got here, that was a real owner to hate and bash. Lacob is the one who bought a terrible franchise and turned it around and hired the people that built a dynasty
