Thank you for the tutorial, I must try to make them, I love to bake and make cakes and cupcakes but have never tried the carnation. Thank you again, you are great. any flower next,
Yay Beth! Always love seeing you do a Wilton video :D I've never done carnations like this, will have to give it try! I'd love to see a stained glass cake using buttercream instead of fondant as the base. I feel like I'm becoming the queen of tall orders!
Could you show how to make/explain the difference between regular buttercream, stiff, medium consistency etc. I have heard those terms used but I don't know what they mean.
Hello, first off I am everything Wilton and I think I own 75% of their products. I love baking, I do it just for fun. I want to thank you and Wilton for all of your videos, They are very helpful and I can't wait to watch them. Ok, so I AM NOT being mean AT ALL people, but carnations are, have been and always will be my favorite flower, and I'm sorry but that looks nothing like one to me. Thank you again for the great videos.
TREAT!! THAT'S what she's been saying in all the videos where I was wondering why she was referring to a cake as a "tree"! We really don't use the word treat in this context in the UK :-0
I mean...I'm just ASKING. I don't TRULY expect you to do a NEW video for ME!!! It's like making a wish on a star. You KNOW it's less likely to come true than a Disney movie. ;) I know I'm not 1st Lady Trump. So don't feel like you let a fan down...or be sad cuz people are crazy & impossible to please. Well, I may be crazy tbh. But ONLY the FUN-crazy or I-buy-too-much-crafty-stuff-&-ribbon CRAZY....but I NEED them cuz they're SO pretty!! Pahaha!! Hope this finds you well!!! :D
I'm sorry I hit the dislike button, but that looks nothing like a carnation that I have been trying so hard to figure out a way to make. I know you can only do so much with the tips, but it's way to thick, no ruffled edges and not nearly enough petals to make it look like a carnation. It's a start, but I'm taking some of my tips and going to try to modify them. Not like I don't have 4 brand new 10Xs that not a one is the exact same opening. :) Anyone else notice this on theirs? I have short ones, tall ones, more open ones and more closed ones. A little like nature! =) What about those translucent ones that they are calling "Korean buttercream", does Wilton have anything figured out about how to get that translucence yet? Thanks for the tips! I AM using them for the tips they are. And I'm on to the next flower..
Can you please repeat and do it a little slower? It's hard to tell where the fat part of the tip is when you're doing it. And can you make a big one? It's nice to see a few examples of each. I LOVE ALL your work and ESPECIALLY your "style". Thanks SOOOO much!!! :)
tulips would be so much fun to see!
Yes, tulip. I really like your direct explanations. Thanks
Going to try this one. Just getting into cupcake decorating. Did not know there were patterns. Thanks!!
I love this it really helps me out because the carnation is a flower I will be using on a three tire wedding cake for a cake show that's coming up!
That was very easy for me to do so I have been making them in all different colors. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Beth!!! Great carnation there, and what a great idea for spacing! Thanks for the tips!
Thank you!! A tulip would be great!
Thank you for the tutorial, I must try to make them, I love to bake and make cakes and cupcakes but have never tried the carnation. Thank you again, you are great. any flower next,
So pretty! I wish I had a steadier hand and more patience to do this myself! Maybe I will try it for a special occasion.
