Wow. Great interview. He put into words the ideas i’ve tried to convey, but couldn’t to people. It’s like tracking is the beginning of thought and analysis. Mindful and intuitive eating are like the human side of things. And thr two together are wisdom and expertise. Your talk remind me of thr book fast and slow thinking. Or how to play chess you need rules. But experts “feel” for what to do, but only after years of training. Only after decades of practice and learning calories/macros , can i now intuitively eat as it activates my memory of all thr knowledge i’ve gained. I find some mindful practitioners suggest this to newbies who don’t have thr skillsets to do it properly
If you go max Calories, min Protien and min/max Fat then tracking macros with a phone app is super easy and actually very liberating to eat without guilt.
Very, very good episode! The insights to coaching people who obsess over details was very helpful - I’m slowly losing weight not but finding tracking stressful. Good to know that’s normal for a segment of the population and great to learn some strategies to manage 👍
Terrific interview, glad to see more variety in guests as well. Totally forgot about Joe, and that's a loss, he's very knowledgeable and well spoken. Of course, it's also nice getting confirmation of where I've landed with tracking, which isn't far from what was discussed here.

That is a weird number to say--and some days I sure feel 55, but thanks. I hear good nutrition and exercise helps ; )
