Oh man. Broccoli/cauliflower and celery and any mix of veggies steamed and thrown in blender, with any type of cream, be it coconut or something else and simmered with plenty of indian style spices, any good masala, is so yummy. The beauty is that you can't pick out individual veggies, I've never liked broccoli/cauliflower or celery but love this. It's the best vegan dish ever. Can even use lentils or chickpeas for protein. Or throw a can of tomato sauce in. Trexler with his primeate talk made me think of how we have for hundreds if not thousands of years already bred these fruits and veggies to taste infinitely better (more sugar) and have a ton more edible material. Like when you look at the ancestors of our everyday veggies and fruits, they barely had the edible portion in and it wasn't super rich in sugar like they are now. It must've been a chore to eat until you were satisfied. Not counting meat of course, that naughty enjoyable and easy thing (of course I'm talking about the purposely fattened farm animals of today). For example this summer my favourite thing has been buying a bunch of banana, nectarine, apple, orange. They are so so delicious. Now what if only half of the insides was edible, half of it seeds (small or big) and not at all as juicy and sweet but woody and more fibrous and bland. Same for tomatoes and cucumber. These mentioned are like our best ones to fill the stomach without over consuming energy today. Or heck, potato, that guy who's pretty good but by no means the most delicious, pretty fulfilling and usually decently big, full of nutrition and not picky about growing platform. No wonder it saved multiple countries' people from dying many times. Even that is bigger and more delicious today. The bloating thing is funny. I recommend trying lentils if you have IBS, it really makes you feel whacky after a squat session. And you really lose your appetite, have to start reminding yourself to eat. Just because you have some pressure upwards in the stomach. In the same vein the gel capsules remind me of vi-siblin, a fiber supplement (usually for legitimate medical purposes). I can't remember which seed it is made of but it makes for a glass of thick gel that feels like gets stuck in your throat and then you feel rather bloated and like all the food's pushing back up your throat after you've eaten your meal. But hear me out with this intervention: what if we eat a bowl of salad before the actual meal. Not your wonderful restaurant salads full of meat and nuts and oils and mayonnaise and whatnot. Your honest home salad: plain lettuce, cucumber and tomato all diced. You eat a bowl of that and after 15 minutes eat your main meal.
by the time i am done showering after my 30min in a full spectrum IR at 160 deg, i'm pretty hungry, but I also sauna after a 2 hour workout so that may be why
Decaf coffee is really useful on a cut. With almost no caffeine, but some of the psychological awareness that you were actually drinking coffee, I find I get a bit of the alertness that I would get from full caffeine with none of the side effects.
I have yet to find a decaf that I'd be willing to drink, otherwise the whole concept of decaf is great. Part of the problem is how decaf goes bland even faster than normal coffee. Of course not a problem for anyone who just needs their cup of coffee and that's it. I originally tried it to have some nice experience at the end of the evening, abandoned the idea unfortunately.
@@Yupppi yeah, I hear that. As someone who once was a coffee snob, I know what you mean. It’s much easier with a bit of milk and sweetener. But if you’re gonna go black decaf, a good cup IS possible, but it’s gotta be fresh beans, ground and then pour over or what have you. There are good decaf beans out here, but they are not cheap. Good coffee shops will make you a decaf Americano. Get the water amount right and that can be amazing too.
Professional ice cream taste testers use a gold spoon to taste their ice cream? The gold spoon allows them to taste the ice cream in its purest form. Since gold has no flavour, any aftertaste from the spoon itself is completely eliminated. Could this be extended to other foods, that are prevalent on the BB community? Eating with a plastic knife and fork out of a plastic container is just yuk.
I'm at 8 min mark, not a single straight answer - old knowledge, dancing around the question blabla. Disappointed. edit: okay he recommends "Drink water, eat less palatable stuff" oh boy... Gimme back those 1:41hrs.
He literally said drinking water is the number one thing that gets recommended while being useless. Actually impressed you're doing those small exercise bouts when you're hungry and sitting in sauna already. Unfortunately the title of the episode was your go to guide, not 5 insane hacks. You're bound to hear methods that are working, so most likely you've heard them somewhere before. Almost all of it is also backed up by evidence, which is not as common with your usual diet tips. Furthermore a good scientist is not a good social media influencer who says confidently bullshit he can't conclude from the evidence. And if it depends on the person, you can't suggest something for everyone. Also frankly he mentions mistakes that are commonly made in bodybuilding dieting, so despite you knowing all the tricks, clearly not everyone knows what to do and what not to. So in fact you could be congratulated on being very well on top of all the scientific dieting literature. And he still gave applicable examples of how to execute the methods. It sounds to me that you are struggling with dieting and came here in hopes of a magic bullet solving the problem that dieting is shitty. Unfortunately you heard that dieting in fact is shitty. The discussion around that is the interesting part.
Your decision to see the video is what’s wrong. You probably see stuff like this every day and by now you already know all this, but fomo is making you ( and us all ) watch stuff like this again and again, although there’s not much news. For most people content like this is not only super uselful, but groundbreaking. Not everyone sees this a common knowledge. Hope this helps!
I was ready to quit my fat loss diet untill I watched this. AMAZING PODCAST! thank you!
Favourite takes ???
Hell yea man, happy to help! - Steve
All of them timestamps. It's as if this episode was made for me. I had some serious questions about dieting and all of them are answered. AMAZING

Great contents but I'm not agree with nuts not to be addictive 😂
Salted & roasted, gimme - Steve
I loved the part where Leon made FB post about how wrong he and you are; and how he is always right

Can you really coach someone if you don't trust the process of being coached ? :>
The only thing I track now is protein.
High fiber veggies, high fiber veggies and more high fiber veggies, end of story.
Not that much more, I already have painful bowel movements and bloating from air.

Being hungry enough for enough decades of life makes one a little tougher in regards to doing what must be done.
Not for me, once I started making enough money I ate to make up for all the years of abstinence
Pecans and cashews not hyper palatable? Unfathomable
Personally couldn't just keep chugging peanuts for more than like three.
The restaurants are doing the same thing as the Nabiscos of the world. It’s the same. It’s destructive to human health in both senses.
I'm at 8 min mark, not a single straight answer - old knowledge, dancing around the question blabla. Disappointed.

Doesnt sound like you even listened to what he said about water
Must be rough committing to listening to an hour and a half of a podcast only to retain nothing
Reality is nuanced, the human body is complex. Not all answers in life come neatly packaged.
