I’d say keep the original wheels because of that Mat red around the wheel. It looks heart warming to keep the aesthetic of the original wheels with that mango orange. I definitely can see how the chromes would look great but I’d have to say simply for the collectors aesthetic to keep the original. Hope this helps! I love your videos man :3
I really like the orange that you chose for this Custom Mustang. It turned out great. I hope to some day get my hand on one of these Custom Mustangs, as I am a collector of anything Ford Mustang.
Yeah, normally I'm all for replacing or upgrading the wheels, but for some reason this particular car speaks to me and says it wants to keep its originals. This is one of the very few times I've felt keeping the originals is better aesthetics than new/upgrades.
The Reaction Kid, ok 1 he said make a comment so I did, 2 I'm not a ginger I just have a red beard. I have brown hair and no freckles on my face so come at me with a better insult.
IVE GOT NEWS FOR BAREMETALHW, I and im sure most of your subscribers arnt bored with nothing more than you going through and customizing/renewing hotwheels, each video is similar but not the same,i still get just as big of a buzz seeing the old rust buckets transformed into a thing of beauty,it never gets old for me SO MAKE MORE!!! 2 A WEEK WOULD BE JUST ENOUGH OF A FIX FOR ME
Polly g think about how long it would take to do a complete restoration and edit a video for it. I'm sure this guy has a life outside of RUclips and he cant dedicate his full time to this. It's understandable. As long as we get a couple a month I'm fine with that.
I think fans and subscribers have developed a bad habit of making demands and feeling entitled to new content. Let our friend share his restorations as often as he wants!

I think you did a grand job of restoring the original wheels so I vote keep :) Outstanding work as always, it looks stunning in that orange spectraflame!
Restoring is an art form. Keeping an item as close to the original is what helps it maintain it's value. Changing the paint scheme may have done damage to the value, changing the wheels may make it worth less than you paid for it. Or like my uncle used to say.... An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So, does it really matter. I say it does. Love your video's.
that was in really good condition! nice find!! I think I would've left it in its original condition, even if it has those decals. the Mustang does look awesome now!! since it's got its plating, it looks as good as it did in '68
beautiful job! I had an idea about removing stickers like that in the future. back when I was still actively building model cars, often times I might get a project that was covered in decals, stickers, or both. if I wanted to strip the paint off the car, it wasn't a big deal. if I couldn't do so without harming the car, and wanted the stickers gone my other option was to sand and risk damaging details. I was then turned on to a trick. if you take regular household mayonnaise, spread it on and around the sticker then let it sit, the oils in the mayonnaise should weaken the sticker making it easy to take off without harming the car or paint. when I was first told about that trick, I was very skeptical, but it really does work.
Very nice video and restoration. Original colour liked me a lot but this new one looks awesome, even cooler than the original one. I love your work mate, you always do very cool and nice things and you teach us a lot of tricks. Thanks for sharing !!
In my view, restores and customs are more a work of art, separate from originals, so it is about display look. I think the repop wheels give the car a completely clean finish. Great work as usual sir, I do like the orange spectra. We do not get Testors spectraflame paint in Australia and it can't be imported here as far as I am aware, perhaps House of Kolor might have an equivalent in Oz. Thank you and keep up the stellar work mate.
Keep the original wheels it looks amazing ... I had a Dodge Challenger 1968 with an open hood and I did restore it and recolored it black and red line and I painted the engine silver now it looks amazing ..❤️❤️ with the original wheels I just added shrink wrap [ shrinken ] on top of the wheel to renew it ...
probably the only 29 year old that gets excited about new video upload of someone restoring toy cars... cant believe you at 169k subs.. i was here since 11k
Great video man! thanks for all the hard work you put into these, we appreciate every one! personally I'd say keep the original wheels. the new wheels i feel would look marginally better but the originality outweighs the improvement.
Keep original for sure! They look in great shape. Also for OCDs sake I think you should clean up the old leftover paint inside the car a bit more just to give it a better factory fresh look inside and out! Good work!
Love the orange finish. Beautiful result. I say swap out those wheels with some new reproduction redlines. This is a sensitive decision I know but at this point it’ll look fully restored with new redlines. Good work and good video as always man 👍🏽
Keep the original wheels, they have been there for over half of a century. To put that into perspective, Vietnam was raging when those wheels were put on. Your touched up wheels look great, the car is even more original this way. Keep the wheels.
That US Aqua was really cool and I would have probably kept as it was however I am not a highly talented airbrush artist. US Aqua is usually brighter and lighter than HK Aqua which is generally much deeper and darker. You always do amazing work and no matter which camp one is in whether leaning more towards saving as many in original paint and as good condition as possible, or leaning towards restoring, your work is top shelf and I am sure it displays incredibly. I hope one day I can put one of your pieces proudly into my collection . Oh man keep the original wheels for sure.
Good restoration. The hood is still a bit of a different shade. I probably would have painted the hood in chrome to even out the color. Keeping the original wheels is always a smart idea but since it is a custom resto, new wheels would work nicely.
That looks pretty cool. I actually have a mustang on Need for Speed Payback that’s about that same color so I might be biased. 😜😂 awesome video once again! About to watch the suspension video now.
Do you think blacking out some of the grills on the hood would be possible? Might be a nice piece of contrast. (The taillights and black trim on the rear look spectacular)
The best way to polish the body including the bumpers is using a buffer on a table grinder with Mothers Polish in a small can. You wouldn't believe how the bumpers look like polished chrome
Keep the original wheels, if their only flaw is "not as shiny as new". I get the appeal of having new ones on a car with a new paint job, but these do look like the best original wheels I've seen on your restorations, and I think they're worth leaving be, at least for a while more.
Keep the original wheels. I think I can see a tint difference still on the hood. Perhaps making it flat black might work? Nice work though, as always. :)
You always reference your collection and displays, but i don't think we've ever seen them. Id love to watch a long form tour video and see everything!
I second that
Third!
I third that.
Yes I agree
I'll be here for that episode!
I vote for keeping the originals. They are in good shape and cleaned up well. Having originals will add to the car's charm
I very much like the color choice, and truthfully I like the original wheels as they are. Nice project and it was a great result, in my book.
I've seen so many of these videos. I restore real 60's muscle cars as a hobby and I absolutely love the way you document these restorations.
I’d say keep the original wheels because of that Mat red around the wheel. It looks heart warming to keep the aesthetic of the original wheels with that mango orange. That interior looks awesome with the orange paint. Gorgeous.
I really like the orange that you chose for this Custom Mustang. It turned out great. I hope to some day get my hand on one of these Custom Mustangs, as I am a collector of anything Ford Mustang.
Orange looks like excelent, good restoration my friend
Your love for the hobby is really heartwarming.
I like those stickers, while they're not original they seem period correct, and it gives a bit of history to it
Love the color!! I think with all the work that new wheels would be a nice touch.
I don’t know why I watch these videos but I do not regret doing so. Great videos!
Keep original wheels
i agree

is it your he can do what he wants you GINGER

Keep the original wheels
Beautiful work as usual. Thank you for your channel and all the great tutorials. My vote is to keep the original wheels.

SO MAKE MORE!!! 2 A WEEK WOULD BE JUST ENOUGH OF A FIX FOR ME
There is nothing boring about these vids. I love watching the process. I think the electro-chemical process is cool to watch too.
Polly g me three
I just wish he would do some cool modern supercars every once and a while

Always interesting seeing you problem solve and change the original plan! Looks great. Definitely keep the original redlines too.
I always like that bmhw puts the before in the thumbnail then you see what happened after he restored it
that was in really good condition! nice find!! I think I would've left it in its original condition, even if it has those decals.
the Mustang does look awesome now!! since it's got its plating, it looks as good as it did in '68
I love seeing you restore mustangs. Their my favorite car of all time especially this particular year. Keep up the good work!
Damm it came out nice!! Keep the og wheels!
I'd say keep the original wheels, they're not in bad enough shape to need to be replaced if you ask me.
Tekkayagi ... your husky thumbnail pic looks just like my pup, she's 7 months old
awesome restoration!
Stay with the oldies!

Another impressive piece! Definitely keep those original wheels. It makes the car feel more original.
Keep'em. The restoration is simply perfect.
Looks perfect with the original wheels. nice restoration
IT LOOKS ONE OF A KIND WITH THOSE COOL UNIQUE STICKERS
I would keep the original wheels too.
Would be great to see your entire collection.
Great videos thank you.
the original wheels are in great shape! I would keep them for the new/old look. btw the orange is popping! another awesome resto!
Great result it looks fantastic.
Normally I would say keep the wheels but the new chrome ones would look incredible against the gold spectra flame.
Very nice video and restoration. Original colour liked me a lot but this new one looks awesome, even cooler than the original one. I love your work mate, you always do very cool and nice things and you teach us a lot of tricks. Thanks for sharing !!
Man, that end result is beautiful!
I'd love to see a video of your colection, probably not the whole thing but maybe your favourites? Great video as always!
That color is beautiful! Man i love it for real.
Great job, it looks great. Re. The wheels. Do what makes you happy. I'd keep them if this was my Mustang, but that's me.
when did you get a bird? also if you can some how get those wheels off with out chomping them (I know its risky) you could see how the new ones look.
Bar finds are cool , but proper clean restoration is always nice .
Looks awesome love the orange paint
Original wheels still looks good. Keep up the great work!
Awesome video! I have parakeet chatter in the background of my videos sometimes, too!
The back of the car looks like the top should be pushed in slightly. Beautiful car and I love your video's!

Very vibrant color. I like it!
Thank you Kanye, very cool
You wrote this before the original tweet?!
Dude, your work is amazing!

Nice job and the original wheels look fine!
Keep original for sure! They look in great shape. Also for OCDs sake I think you should clean up the old leftover paint inside the car a bit more just to give it a better factory fresh look inside and out! Good work!
I think that it looks spectacular!
Nice looking restoration. Keep the original wheels
Love the orange it just make that look so cool
ORIGINAL is always Beautiful.
Beautiful Mustang
Awesome color Sir !!!!!!!!!!
My first Hot Wheel came in a track set. A Gold Mustang with a open hood scoop. The bar in the middle with a hole on each side.
Whenever possible, work with the original.
Man sweet job on the mustang it looks sick orange 🍊 looks awesome.. On it.. Big thumbs up bud.. 😉🙂🙂👍👍👍👍✋✌😎
Love that colour great video
Love the orange finish. Beautiful result. I say swap out those wheels with some new reproduction redlines. This is a sensitive decision I know but at this point it’ll look fully restored with new redlines. Good work and good video as always man 👍🏽
I will still say wow after probably tenth watching time that looking so good.
Keep the originals. They look fine.
Keep the original wheels, they have been there for over half of a century.
To put that into perspective, Vietnam was raging when those wheels were put on.
Your touched up wheels look great, the car is even more original this way.
Keep the wheels.
As always your on point.....Keep the Original Wheels....
Well... as you restored the car to as new in a non original color, you might as well replace the wheels with new ones.
Great work btw
Keep them wheels they look awesome just as they are
That US Aqua was really cool and I would have probably kept as it was however I am not a highly talented airbrush artist. original wheels look great and go well with the car
That Orange color put a tear in my eye
Very nice. The car look way better
Awesome restoration!!! Keep those original tires on it
Good restoration. The hood is still a bit of a different shade. I probably would have painted the hood in chrome to even out the color. Keeping the original wheels is always a smart idea but since it is a custom resto, new wheels would work nicely.
It is so beautiful now. Congrats
Great job! Love the orange
Great color, original wheels
Looks golden literally
Awesome like always!! Keep this wheels 👍🏻
I think you should have done an undercoat first so the bonnet matches the rest of the car. Great video as always 👍
Very nice resto
That looks pretty cool. I actually have a mustang on Need for Speed Payback that’s about that same color so I might be biased. 😜😂 awesome video once again! About to watch the suspension video now.
I see Hot Wheels Mustang...I click...I like!
One more mustang I need for my collection lol looks great
Wow i gave exactly 1000th like. Such a good feeling.
Typically how long or how many cars can you paint with spectra flame paint?
Love the color. Keep the wheels.👍
Keep the original wheels, if their only flaw is "not as shiny as new". I get the appeal of having new ones on a car with a new paint job, but these do look like the best original wheels I've seen on your restorations, and I think they're worth leaving be, at least for a while more.
excellent video I leave you my like, greetings from mexico
Looks good ! I think the wheels look fine.
Keep the original wheels. I think I can see a tint difference still on the hood. Perhaps making it flat black might work? Nice work though, as always. :)
OmegaChem and a heated ultrasonic cleaner for paint removal?
