I'm guessing Shouki's track is wider since he is a shinkansen. Those high speed trains ride on a wider gauge track for safety.
Exactly what I was about to say... Getsuei is based on a narrow gauge local train, that's why his track width is narrower
But then it's inconsistent when displaying.
yup these trains are HO scale and they even replicated the track gage. so getsuei uses the older narrow gage wile shouki and yukikaze will use the widen shinkansen gage
You are the first person I’ve seen pronounce Getsuei’s names right.
He was pronouncing it wrong then right, then wrong again.

I was thinking about getting the official MP versions of these,... that was before I saw your reviews of the 3rd party one that you finished a few weeks ago. They seem to look much better.
EF65 1120 is a real train unit in Japan. There are videos on youtube. They specifically based this on a specific train, specifically. Also, the tracks are not the same width because they are based on their real life counterpart. Those trains really have different track dimensions.
Also, the ugly back thing behind his head is actually cartoon accurate. It's not an engineering flaw, but a feature.
I never said the thing behind his head was a flaw, I just don't like it.
And I feel like it would have been fairly easy to have it be able to fold down. And that way you would have options. And as always, options are good

@@emgo316 I should have clarified when I was writing, but I meant it as in a dedicated hinge to fold down more flushly so that it isn't sticking back so far.
With all the translucent and clear plastic these trainbots are made out of, they’ll be here for a good time, but not a long time.

I see the Takara vs the 3rd party one and they both have strengths and weaknesses, but man, the Takara ones just do something for me that the Moon Studio doesn't.
That side-by-side with Shouki is painful to look at. They don't even look like they're part of the same line, much less the same team.
Unfortunately I had to watch an inferior video to transform Getsuei. Yours are the ones I save for entertainment and guidance.
The Train looks good and also it needs to be in Rise of the Beasts movie
I feel like these Takara versions fit better with the main line Generations stuff than they do with the MP stuff. Especially when you compare them in train mode with Seige Astrotrain.

@@storm5936 theyre nowhere near the simplicity of a chug figure theyre masterpiece figures or specificlly mpg figures
they are meant to scale with model trains since theres no way they could make them scale with the vehicle modes. also their small robot mode size is accurate to the show they were often the size of the carbots
There's no reason to Buy this figure when the moon studio versión is cheaper, bigger and with excellent quality.
@@Conamgc the train modes of the moon studios figure are innacurate the characters in moon studios are also innacurate in design and size as in the cartoon they were around the size of the carbots
there are many reasons to buy these and despite your insistance that there is none people are still buying them
i think that this MP is an expensive garbage, i don't care if this is CA, fit Bad with the others MP

I’m glad they are finally doing a combiner even though I’m not going in on this yet I will later when it’s cheaper I know they will be cheaper in a year or two.
Well people complain about clear plastic, just be careful converting it or just don't convert it at all

To hell with this entire line. I didn’t realize there was a notch in the arm for swiveling the shoulder panels, and the whole train panel snapped off. For $120, this plastic is inexcusably thin. Getuei was supposed to be the redemption after shouki, but I’m out now.
this version of the figures wins the detail and robot scale categories but moon studios wins "ease" of transformation play ability scale (in alt mode) and function for lack of a better term as their wheels actually turn lol
I mean, if I'm going to pay the price of an actual used car for 6 Transformers, I'm going to choose the ones that cost exactly the same as the Hasbro products but are 2x larger, look better, and by all accounts are just as durable.
These Trainbots are just gorgeous, just a shame they are soooooo expensive!!
At least we're getting a new version of these particular bots.

since he is a masterpiece he should be compared to more masterpiece I.E. fanstoys Thomas and Optimus Prime. I know they are not to scale as the others but you used to compare M.P.'s to M.P.'s why change now?

It is just terrible that Takara expects people to take stands from so many other figures to get the Trainbots flying. Even more so considering the train mode is the only good one on these figures.
God forbid they give you a new arm for flying mode no just take the one from tracks.

Yea getsui uses the older gauge track while shouki uses the newer one, the moon studios version all run on the same size track and all of the wheels move properly to allow for regular tracks with turns to act as a regular train
Also, definitely prefer the Moon Studio version for scale, if nothing else. They're still too small compared to other MP figures, but more closer than these guys
I was willing to kinda forgive these and just buy into for the cool ness factor but I instantly canceled some orders and bought into the moon studio when I seen the mpg-04 is a parts former

Different sized track is a deal breaker. Bad enough its a kibble bot. Takara should be embarrassed. Its like these are leftover designs from 2015 and the moon studio is the 3rd party upgrade. Its no mp or mpg whatever lol its voyager class mainline. 😂
no its not a voyager its too complex i find it funny people complain but these are selling amazingly in japan

I thought that the main selling point of MPG was that they would be like scale model trains, but it seems that they won't even scale between themselves, judging by how the tracks have different widths. That is a let down IMHO

These are awful. Shouldn't even be considered Masterpiece.
