There are only two reasons for why this happened. Either the Secret Service is completely incompetent OR they allowed it to occur. In both cases, it is clear that the Secret Service needs to be HEAVILY investigated and held accountable. We need details of EVERY part of this.
Also, the excuse that it occurred after Trump began to speak or that he had clothing that made him difficult to see is completely irrelevant. It did not matter when it happened, at no point should he have been able to get on that roof with a rifle visible and the Secret Service did NOTHING. Stop excusing a failure that left a man dead and others severely injured.

    • @Buc_Stops_Here
      @Buc_Stops_Here Месяц назад +59

One more reason mentioned - not enough resources! They had two local law enforcement policeman on top of one building near the stage. The Secret Service had two more people on the other building. The local police were also involved with the Secret Service to secure the ground and run the metal detectors to enter. Bulter, PA has a total of 13 policemen. That is it. There were not enough people locally and in the Secret Service protecting Trump to cover that building as well, and the risk was regarded low enough to let it go. The Trump campaign asked for more resources for the Secret Service and it was denied. Not enough resources were available, plain and simple, and this happened.

Why would their SS be any different?

    • @DanSolo871
      @DanSolo871 Месяц назад +45

He is not THE president but a former president. He's also a candidate for president. The Secret Service detail is not as large as it would be for the current commander in chief, so they have to work hand and hand with local law enforcement. The immediate perimeter is controlled by SS, while the outside perimeter is law enforcement. The failure here is that the local police did not have the training, say the NYC or LA police department have in potential threats. From the eye witness accounts, it sounded like the local police, after being alerted of the threat, had a "What do I do? What do I do?" mentality. The Secret Service sniper had his rifle trained on the suspect but probably was not getting the "go" through his com. "Is it a threat? Is it a gun or telescope or? What am I looking at? Do I shoot?" You will notice his response as soon as it was evident the suspect had a gun was a split second after the first shot.

My brother is in secret service, it us called SPG (Special Protection Group) in India and had been appointed 16 months for Prime Minister Security in India . Let me share with 100% confidence, in my brother opinion, Trump security service is definitely compromised and involved in the failed assanination of the former President Trump.
      1. My brother, as SPG in India have been part of joint excercises with US secret service and he have high regard for the competence of US secret service. Hence the incompetence in this case is out of the window.
      2. The Secret Service have 2 books: Blue book and Yellow book. These 2 books contains detailed protocols to be followed for the safety of the protected Individual.
      3. The Blue book contains security protocols for President, Prime Minister and family members residing with them. List micro and macro steps to be taken to protect them and protocols for exigencies.
      4. The Yellow book contains security categorisation and arrangement protocols for protected individuals, and responsibilities of security agencies and the local police. The federal goverment, in coordination with different intelligence agencies, issues guidelines from time to time
      5. Typically the venue is surveyed in advance (2 weeks in advance) and first basic thing is to identify and secure all high vantage point in line of sight of the individual path of movement.
      6. 2 secret service personnel are planted on all high vantage point (with no exception). One will focus on the individual and nearby while other will focus on other vantage point and nearby.
      7. Drone surveillance is contantly done by the secret service to have a top down security details.
      8. Local police work in direction & command and in coordination with the secret service. Each nearby building and area will be secured and each ingress & egress are manned by local police till the event last. This is done for all 3 perimeter marked. Local police alongwith secret service are responsible for 2 out perimeter and closest 3rd perimeter are entirely under CPT(close protection team). The CPT act as a human shield for the protected individual.
      9. In my brother opinion based on experience, there is more than 7-8 protocol failure in the Trump incident and it can't be incompetence of secret service. Few mole in secret service must be colluding with assassin for this lapse to have happened.

Her analogy of the conductor for an orchestra only works for a few hours. Until the facts come out. Local law enforcement says they told the Secret Service they couldn’t protect the building.
So in the Conductor analogy, the violin players didn’t show up up. They told the conductor they weren’t going to show up 2 days before. And then the conductor performs the whole concert without violins, and they act surprised that there were no violins. But first they say that there weren’t any violin players because the chairs in the violin section weren’t safe to sit in.
Sorry, this analogy falls apart. I’m the analogy master. A bad analogy only misleads if it faces no scrutiny. Which is what I expect from Today. I assume the final analysis is that this super-sleuth 20 year old nobody knows anything about just got lucky.

Then he knew what building and roof top to set up on and how to access that roof top without being seen moving toward the location. Then get Into a firing position and be 140 yards away from Trump within 6 minutes of the rally start and fire his weapon? Either this was staged or this was a government hit. As an Army Infantry veteran, I can tell you there is no way that a man should be able to scale a building 130 yards from the President of the United States of America while some of the best snipers in the entire world are watching. The Secret Service goes ahead of time to check the entire area and all of possible sniper locations and they have closed people in the crowd. There were witnesses who were literally screaming to law enforcement that a man with a gun was laying there, and they did nothing.

Trump isn’t the President, he’s a former President. Trump is notorious for not paying for the venues he does his speeches at, nor does he pay for the police that are obligated to provide security at his rallies. On the other hand, what we see is either the height of incompetence and/or collusion. The only question I have is how did the SS agent we hear in the open mic know that all threats had been neutralized only seconds after the shooting stopped? He couldn’t, he had to be incompetent or in collusion because we see no one securing the perimeter and clearing the area while looking for other threats. The audience is milling around. Trump has time to be theatrical without the people charged with protecting him actually protecting him. Incompetence and/or collusion.

The Trump campaign chose a wholly indefensible venue: the stage had dozens of buildings overlooking it within 500 yards on three sides. A good few are private homes. Not-Yet-Presidential-Candidate Private Citizen Trump - or his campaign - had no right putting people on random people’s roofs, although with 125 million in their campaign fund, they could at least have put up a drone or two.
Neither is Citizen Trump’s event-security the responsibility of the taxpayer (local or federal) , at least not until he becomes an official candidate. Compared to that of other ex presidents, his personal security detail was already gargantuan. Why should they be further stretched to become venue/event security - and outside the event perimeter, too?
His campaign has been going for two full years. Literally hundreds of events. That’s his choice: why should the public cater to his delusions of grandeur as though he were still a president?

It’s because she is also a DEI hire, her angle will be to deflect the DEI AGENDA WITHIN THE S.S.
All surrounding elevated spots not covered.
The outer perimeter left to state police was only 150 yards!!
Im a outdoorsman. 150 yds is point blank range for a rifle.
We “sight in” at this distance. Meaning 150 yards is where we START the process of getting the rifle to hit out to anywhere from 500-1000 yards!
The distance the gunman was is literally a chip shot! It’s literally putting range to the hole.
My wife and daughter can hit softballs out to 500 and we are not gun fanatics by any means.
Luckily the gunman was inexperienced with truly being accurate and that the president was moving his head, it seems the gunman was also hurried by the cop who found him but retreated and the screaming eye witnesses most likely put him under pressure for a hurried discharge.
The big question is how he was allowed to get there and why the defensive perimeter was so small and uncovered to begin with.
GOD bless all those involved in this tragedy and GOD bless America!

This woman says the shooter had disguised himself with the colour clothing he was wearing… Yet civilians clearly saw him and were pointing him out for several minutes prior, and authorities acted blind. Also, in the images shown after the patsy got taken down, you can clearly see the military guy in khakis.
Did the young gun get the weapon from a cereal box or was it provided to him. And what about that convenient ladder? Were the buildings in plain sight checked? Or did authorities not see anyone carrying a 10ft ladder either?

If your premise is that any fault is immediately SS fault then I can't argue with that logic. It's flawed because that's not how it works but ok I can understand why people would be emotionally driven to think that way.
Keep in mind I'm in no way saying the SS is faultless here only that "shifting blame" at this point in time appears to be an unfair statement with heavy bias against the SS. The police are at fault here too both teams fkt up.

That's way too suspicious for me. No one would think it was possible. It was too easy and he was too calm and too close. He had to have inside info and be part of the establishment.
