She did say she likes to get a shade darker than her match for tinted moisturizers. So that's what she meant not that it's too light to match her.
We need to normalize being “ghostly” white as every RUclips tends to say or run away from. I’m as white in skin color probably lighter and I think it’s unique and beautiful. There’s a technique for everything like covering dark circles etc. But yeah white or dark YOURE BEAUTIFUL!
in the past it definitely used to be considered 'bad' to be pale/super fair (even saying "pale" makes me think of it being a negative thing!), especially in the UK too. i always think of girls aloud (girl group) where one member would fake tan constantly to keep up with expectations... but honestly it shouldn't matter!! i don't care about being pale anymore, what's important is that people look after their skin (SPFs for everyone!) and hopefully everyone can learn to appreciate every single skin tone ❤️
Agree especially when majority of beauty youtubers are actually pale but just wear a foundation shade that’s 100 shades darker🤡
Yes!!! I’m pale and love my skin tone. It makes it hard for us to take in reviews when everyone is either fake baked or using 2-3 shades too dark on pale skin to match their body. I love her reviews bc she’s light and embracing it.
I’m pretty light but my skin looks better and more natural when my foundation is a pinch darker. It’s a matter of taste.
Imo, “natural light skin” isn’t the same as “makeup light skin”. Light skin is pretty but not as pretty when is makeup, cause it looks somehow even more white and heavier, and that’s a bit unnatural 🤷🏻♀️

Don’t get your hopes up for the concealer with a beauty blender either girlie! Sadly it dries SO FAST that even with a damp sponge it leaves a line between it & the skin tint 🤷🏼♀️. I actually used an eye cream before trying it the second time… no bueno. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us gorgeous! Sending lots of 🤗,💜 & 🙏🏻 for a healthy, wonderful & Blessed 2022!!

So far everyone I've seen have the same complaints about the concealer. The skin tint seems nice as long as you don't try and build it up.

I second Josie’s comment: Can we normalize being fair/pale? Since I was a teen I’ve received rude comments like “get a tan” or “have you ever been in the sun?” It’s rude as-f to put someone down for the tone of their natural skin, no matter how light or dark!!! 😤 I shouldn’t have to be forced to spray tan or lay out to please society’s beauty standards. Just as someone with a deep tone should not have to lighten their skin to fit any beauty standards. We’re all beautiful the way we are.

Totally. Throughout my teens I gotten really pale all of sudden and it wasn’t until I hit 20 I started looking like how I was once did.
Yep! Was called a vampire in 5th grade, gave me a complex, and I ended up with a tanning addiction. Thank god I finally accepted my natural skin tone! I still get annoyed by rude comments though.

Yes I agree so much! I have light medium skin but it’s gets more on the light side during winter, totally normal and there’s no need to self tan if you don’t want to!!
I tried the blurring skin tint this morning for the first time and I had the same white flaky situation happen and I remembered mannymua had the same in his review. I have oily combo skin so I’m not really a dry gal. Product is pretty but sits on the face weird upon application. Also yes please review the Nars light reflecting!!! 👍
The close ups are what I've been wanting all beauty creators to do since 2014!!! It's so hard to see the way things lay on the face when everything is zoomed out.

That same issue with the concealer happens for me whenever I use the ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer, strange enough! I didn’t expect it, since it is specifically for hydrating the under eyes, but didn’t work for me.

I tried to skin tint for the first time today, I really liked it. But I do feel like it clings to dry patches a little bit. I didn’t get the concealer, I’m skeptical about it, it has looked really dry on a lot of people. Loved seeing your review, I always trust your opinions!

Have you tried the ilia skin tint? It’s basically a tinted moisturizer/sunscreen and I LOVE it so far. Better for dry girls. Enough to even the skin tone and give a healthy glow. I powder my t zone and good to go.

I thought it was funny you said maybe the concealer would apply better with a sponge because I just saw Alexandra Anele struggleee to make it work using two different sponges AND on like super moisturized skin too, so I don't really know who this would work for...

I have seen 9-10 reviews on these two products tonight and they had the complaints about the concealer. There were so far only 2 positive reviews but I wanted to be sure because I do love Morphe products. Thank you for your reviews.

I agree with you and Manny 100% about the concealer Kathleen and I have oily/combination skin. It dries too quickly and makes my under eyes look dry and cakey. You are right about blending the concealer out with a beauty sponge. It does give better coverage then but I tried blending it in with the NYX Bare serum concealer and it works much better that way in my opinion. Also, can you review the NARS & Charlotte Tilbury foundations.
Wait so you have to blend the concealer out with another concealer to make it work!? A cheaper one, at that! That’s a bad sign for the product.

Everyone I've seen review these products have said the same thing - the tint is nice and wears for a long time but doesn't build. The concealer is horrible and dry, even on people with normal or oily skin. It goes patchy, blends away, texturises the skin and is heavy. No one has said anything nice about the concealer.

I love my white skin no sun damage for me 😁 smooth and healthy skin is to keep me from aging. Everyone's skin color is beautiful, but if you have damaged skin from the sun or tanning bed that unfortunately cannot be fixed.

Haven’t seen a single good review on this. I honestly don’t understand what the fuck Jaclyn is doing. Her makeup is flawless, so is her complexion! She uses full coverage foundation and then concealer she sets with brightening powder. What is she doing releasing a tint and self setting concealer? Her launches just make no sense. Her brand could’ve been incredible, i just don’t understand…
And she always goes on and on about how she has very dry skin too; why would she release products not suitable for her skin type?

I had the same problem mixing these two products together and it showing a bunch of little dry patches and made it look really bad, However when I tried the concealer with my regular foundation and then put powder on top it looked amazing! I think it is just because both of us are dealing with dry skin.. I will try this, again after I get my skin more hydrated!

Coming from someone with dry skin, I genuinely don’t understand when I see people applying their base with a brush, especially more full coverage products. I also only apply by the section I’m working on to avoid the issue of it not blending out due to drying, since my skin is already dry and doesn’t have much oils to work with.

Me too! I think most liquid concealers look like shit on me, but I tried the Nars pot concealer and use the tiniest amount and it seems to work better for me!

I wonder if Kathleen is actually a fair neutral olive. My experience as a light olive-coloured person is that if I wear a neutral-shade foundation of the correct depth or value (lightness/darkness), what is commonly available makes my skin look either pale/ dull or peachy. Anything else, labeled as cool/ warm/ golden, are too pinkish gray, too orange, or too yellow. I have to mix two shades or use a mixer (blue or green) to match the foundation to my skin. I don't think it's a matter of "looking like a ghost" because of having lighter skin. I think it's a lack of colour variety for olive skin tones. And that's why some of us prefer to use shades that is 0.5 to 1 shade darker or warmer because it makes us look healthier than ones that may be a little lighter or cooler.
Still, I agree that we should embrace our skin's natural colour and appearance, even if it's easy to want something that we don't have.
