I recommend equipping blades that have the field skill of salvaging, aswell as equipping accessories that increase your “luck” stat, You will get more money and items from treasure chests if you do so
Omnipresent_ Ninja better cylinder has better chances on getting chest and lower enemy encounters. It’s particularly true since when using normal one you may meet enemy almost every time, lowered a bit with silver one, drastically lowered when use golden, and almost none with premium cylinders.
Yup. Went salvaging with boreas equipped and got like 2-3 chests every time with a lot more loot. Don't know if having multiple guys with salvaging mastery makes a difference.
As a couple of notes: Economy/Development level can be increased by a couple of things. The ones I know of are doing side missions, talking to people with stars on their speech bubbles, and of course, mediating the flow of money. This includes both purchasing and selling stuff. With that said, I'd say if you want a place to start out trying to max development level, do Mor Ardain, by doing the previously mentioned rare core grinding method. You'll constantly be purchasing tons of cylinders, and selling the accessories found from the salvage, all whilst trying to pull that Kos Mos you really want. Anyway, if you repeat this method, you'll eventually get Mor Ardain to 5* development. Then, you can purchase gold cylinders from there and sell it at some other place to raise its development level, or do the method described here. Repeat ad infinitum for max development level/infinite money.
I have Kos Mos and i must say she is pretty underwhelming compared to other aethercannon blades. The one Nn Li talkes about (the one you have to give money to,is ridiculously strong)
Ive been looking for a money guide since for ever and then I was like "oh right Li makes xenoblade vids now!" Then I saw this and I'm really happy thx dude great vid
I remember you made this video, and I was amazed by how much money you made. Now, I have 10 blades with salvaging mastery level 2+, and I get 3 chests EVERY time and quite frequently white chests, too. Additionally, each chest has an average of about 2500 gold, meaning I make money even without trading at the exchange. Selling the "Shield barrel scope" in Indol makes 54000, so I really feel like it is a waste to do salvaging in Argentum.
You may want to point out that increasing the stars in a location does not just give you better prices (which is irrelevant beyond a certain point, since you have all the money you may desire), but unlocks also mercs missions; which are a great way to level up blades you do not use :)
By exchanging your salvaging parts you also get quite a bit of development, so if you don't mind taking a little from your profit margin, you can use those gold cylinders in the area you want to develop. And as you salvage, exchange, and buy, you will develop the town and make more and more money in the process as the prices drop
you can also use the "lazy way" of pushing the dev level up. once you have one city on 5 stars you can just buy whatever you want there and sell it in a city where you want to push your dev level. the buy price is = the sell price when the the dev is on 5 stars so you are making +- 0 gold but selling increases the dev level ;)
A little hint for the quick time event. If you play in handheld mod your button press is pretty much instant with no lag so it's best to use handheld so you can almost always get an excellent rating when salvaging. Also this trick is also really useful in Breath of the wild when fighting guardians and using a shield to repel their beams back at them.
theres also a good spot at the mor ardain dock, push A 3 times each like the one in the video. also stacking salvage mastery seems to help a lot too, this got me a lot of red chests in fewer uses at the cliff on temperance during the poppi qt pi quest (i believe i had around 4 in terms of count here) another good method i enjoy farming with is to respawn pippito enemies on a hill by the oasis in gormott (these also help give good exp and such for people not equipped for end game extra bosses), sell the duplicate equipment and theyre gold mines too
Hardhaigh Palace has a spot on the roof that yields a metric ton of money from roughly 10 minutes of salvaging. Then, sell that to the traders and buy all possible gold cylinders, then sell them. Repeat u til you run out of money
It's been two years, i'm quite late but if anyone who owns XC:DE and curious about the past games and encounter this video, listen to my comment. Once you finish the Leftherian Archepelago saga, STOP DOING THE MAIN QUESTS. The Indoline Praetorium gives AMAZING money. 17k and 30k each trade. Also all of the items tradable are available aswell. I recommend salvaging mastery. The best places to farm for the Indo trade is Lefteria and Indo. Since Leftheria drops Jet-black barrel or something, and Indo also drops the matching trade.
A few things to add: Once you get far enough in the story (idk the exact chapter), you can get some exchanges worth 160k+. You get the items required for these in any salvaging point in each area. Check your Items list and sort by Rarity under the Salvaging category to see which area has which item. You can EASILY make millions in very little time if you're only aiming for money. Also something to note is, once in a while, the shops will have "Premium Cylinders". These are amazing, and ALWAYS buy out their stock when they're available. You'll make back the price easily in salvaging as you can only bring up gold treasure chests that contain multiple 3* rarity items every time.
So there is this spot in mor ardain (the one with the lucky gal) where you are basically guaranteed to not encouter any enemies while salvaging is there a draw back since the spot itself has an easy qte and the loot is great as well (not entirely sure whether that qualifies as great but at least one of the 'good' bundles in mor ardain is available by just salvaging at this spot)
When I try to trade in items to get the bundle like items which are more expensive it says my inventory is full and no space, I tried selling a buncha stuff and it doesn’t work, any ideas?
I dunno if you're still looking for help, but you get boosters when you provide items to the salvaging people, it says it on the bottom left. You have to use the boosters to make room. Hope this helps!
DrakE (original) There’s a trading shop in Uraya so I would look at some of the stuff you can trade and look up where you can salvage that stuff, then just trade in uraya. It’s extra work but I say I’d be worth it
Question. I'm on chapter 4 . I unlocked the golden cylinders in one shop. But my other shops do not have them. Am I supposed to do something specific to have them in all my shops?
When sending additional money through Max (Currier), does it accumulate if I continually send $10k installments, for example? Or do I have to send $90k at once to trigger whatever it does later on?
Has anyone found an ideal ratio on how much to use the two spots? I've been slightly using more at maelstrom point since it feels like more value, but haven't actually done the math. Also, I just reached Mor Adain and can buy golden capsules there, but no where else. It isn't really a problem since I can fast travel, but does anyone know how to unlock golden capsules in other cities so I can develop them?
lmao You can’t even spell the word “losing” right but say something pretentious like “smh”? Nice. The guy is trying to be helpful, it doesn’t hurt to be nice. Not to mention the fact that you’re just flat out wrong anyway.

Did this and made a big difference.
Even git items needed for several quests.

TheLaserSonic That's a crazy idea..can't wait to test it out later! D:

LloydIrving THAT one...is my favourite ^^
LloydIrving
The one you buy(inherited core crystal) for 500000g?
Yes, that one its needs money farming but its worth it.
Is it just me or whenever I buy a game you make videos about it? I feel pretty lucky :)
Ive been looking for a money guide since for ever and then I was like "oh right Li makes xenoblade vids now!"

Not everyone has access to Indol.
Uhh so essentially we first have to farm alot of money to get alot of golden cylinders to farm alot of money lol
solareflare47 gotta spend money to make money...I know this comment is a year old. Don’t judge ._.
@@tracyfollowell6747 and so is this comment :)
Lioheart Slushr555 nu-uh! Your comment is only an hour old according to my notifications lol
@@tracyfollowell6747 what I meant was that my comment is a year late just like your comment.

basically rinse and repeat, buy as much gold cylinders--->salvage--->exchange items from salvage--> rinse and repeat until development level goes up

Thanks! Great guide, managed to get enough gold to support aunt corinne and my crippling cylinder addiction

Just chimed in because you had bana as your thumbnail.
Funny how you uploaded this video when you mentioned about having the inherited core from Torigoth on a stream
Keep up the good work!
These are really helpful
I prefer Jubilee gate's point. 4 hoops get you almost 130K per turn-in and they're pretty easy to get even with gold cylinders.
You spoiled the game's logo in the thumbnail dammit

For me I find most of the throne militants on the top floor, like I find a lot up there
But I don’t have enough money to buy gold cylinders

I wanna do this method to develop in uraya, but there's no salvagin points i think?

I've beaten chapter 4 and the gold cylinders haven't shown in Torigoth... Why? Btw it is 5 star by this point in time.

Chapter 5.

christian mendez
Prolly just have to increase town rankings
What about boreas and his ability does it slows the process or is it good to have him in the team ?
kano salt
Yes
Upgrade him to lv 3 for best results too.
Also equip luck items
When sending additional money through Max (Currier), does it accumulate if I continually send $10k installments, for example? Or do I have to send $90k at once to trigger whatever it does later on?
Arround chapter 6-7 you will get the mission
J. Ivan López Rodríguez haha thanks but already past that point. I am now level 66 and 78 hours into the game. Absolutely love it
Nice!

Get to chapter 5 and you'll unlock gold cylinders in other cities.
Honestly I really hope the third one isn't this tedious and life draining.
just salvage 4Head
Calm down
Ur actually loosing money smh 7k for and maybe sell sonethings for 2k
Wrong you can trade them in bulk for up to like 150k as a set, and you usually get about 5k raw anyway
