I've never worn sunscreen before starting to watch your channel a month ago. You've completely changed the way that I think about my skin, acne, and PIH. Now I'm wearing sunscreen every day and have a decent routine! You and Hyram have turned me into a skincare addict and I'm forever grateful! I love your videos! Thank you acne big cyster!

Same! I never realized how important SPF is, even in winter and inside, until I started watching her and some of the other skin care RUclipsrs.
There was a lady who made a post on our local Facebook group, basically advertising her real estate business, she posted a picture of her beet red face, saying "I'll do anything, including being in the heat all day, to make sure my clients get what they need dunn! With ___ Dunn it's a Dunn deal!" And everyone came at her saying "you need sunscreen, that isn't a normal redness to have!" One lady even said she thinks it's rosacea. And this real estate agent clapped back at everyone saying "it's not sunburn it's nothing sunscreen can help I just get red when I'm hot" 🙄 girl... I mean people have to learn how to just accept advice with a simple " I didn't think about that, I'll consider it, thanks" instead of getting mad that everyone else has a point. 😅 Now no one wants to buy a house from her.

Learned a lot about picking a proper skincare, found some good Ukrainain products actually based on her ingredients recommendations (Sane is actually quite a decent brand! I have their face mask with ZnO, PP, retinoids and all other goodies for like 120uah=3$). I will unfortunately have to leave Ukraine soon, and this info is also very convenient for when i'll need a decent skincare outside Ukraine) Thanks a lot, Cassandra! Щиро дякую!💙💛

I'm done with overpriced creams, I have melasma on my nose, I used everything in the world, spent thousands to get rid of it and nothing worked, until someone tell me the best was rosehip oil and diaper rash cream, yes, diaper rash cream, in one week my melasma was two tones lighter. I can't find anything affordable with that high number of good ingredients. It has a bunch of amino acids, ceramides, growth factor, peptide, vitamin C & E and a bunch of moisturizing ingredients and even more than that. I love your channel and your approach to skincare. I have been on a journey for the past couple of years to get my skin into good condition - some days I say I am succeeding, other days I wonder if i am using the right things. I seriously have many core serums in my night and day routine, but when I watch videos like this one, I wonder if I am using the right things? How do we know what would be best for us? I mean I know there is the basics - retinol, vitamin c, Niacinamide, moisturizer and sunscreen as the basics. Then add peptides, coQ10, antioxidants, and make sure you use AHAs and BHAs and acids to exfoliate, but does aging skin need seaweed, growth factors and DNA repair and the other wonderful ingredients you and others talk about? How does one overwhelmed with the plethora of skincare products to create a stable routine that is the best for our skin in the long run?

I’ve been exploring different skin care products for the past year or a little bit longer. I started with the estee lauder $100 serum. I realized after watching a bunch of videos that any skin care product worth more than $30 is useless (some dermatologist said that). I agree. I use biossance, Paula’s choice products (both the brands have sales all the time and these were bought during a sale) and my skin is great!!! I’m never going to buy anything more expensive than these products. I don’t care for Kim or Kylie; if people think that their skin looks like because of their products, I’m sorry for how naive they are. They just sell lies and I’m not going to waste my money on them.

When you actually look at the sustainability of SKNN it’s really not. I don’t say this lightly but it’s a lot of greenwashing. Their website has nothing talking about their sustainability except for the page of refills which is a red flag. The refills themselves aren’t sustainable as they are just the plastic tubes that take up the majority of the product. There is nothing on the sourcing of the ingredients or the sustainability of their production. Are they carbon neutral? There is no information to back their claims.

I wish more of the products you talked about were available in Canada. Everything I’ve been interested in so far, I can’t get.

I love both missha and sk-ii! I must say though sk-ii has that horrible funky odor that I haven't found replicated in other products which makes me feel that the concentration or formulation sets it apart.
That said it's so expensive I only bought the kimono doll packaging version 😆 Otherwise missha treatment essence is a very worthy dupe for sure.

I can't buy these but this is a very thorough dupe and alternative video and it is execellent! Personally I mostly splurge on new sunscreens and retinol creams. I do like trying out new hydrating toners and moisturizers though, and recently bought It's Skin Lemon'C Squeeze Ampoule Toner and it's been really nice for the hot summer climate; Mustela Hydra Bebe Lait Corps is a really nice moisturizer that's my dry/dehydrated and acne prone skin!

Is the skkn packaging really sustainable? It’s beautiful however I get a sense of green washing.. the inner shell of the product could be packaging of its own. The external decorative packaging only adds more plastic.

I'm incredibly intrigued with Beauty Pie! Do you know if they have something similar to a whipped moisturizer like PTR Cloud Cream or YTTP Air Whip moisturizer?

I watched a video of a dermatologist say that if a moisturiser is more than 30$ than it’s just filler stuff. Good ones start at even less than that

Hi Cassandra! Love your videos and I’m grateful for your honesty about SK-II. I have a sample and can’t even finish it. Not that great in my opinion. However, I LOVE the Pat McGrath Divine Rose 001 Essence. Would be curious to see a breakdown from you on that product as well as Isamaya Ffrench’s Skinlaq serum! Both ladies are makeup artists who have put out these skin products this year. Thanks so much! 🦋🦋🦋
