Update: I tried installing a custom font and my phone got stuck on the logo screen. It couldn't restart properly. I had to flash the original boot.img to get it to turn on again and now it's not rooted anymore. HELP !!!

I feel ya pain bro ,Gower I can help u with the Google issue here's how to disable it Tap and hold on the home screen for a few seconds, then hit Home Settings. Set swipe access to none. To disable Assistant, you need to get rid of the Google App. Go to Settings, Apps, find Google, and hit nothing 👍

Hey man. I followed all the steps to a T and it seemed to work, but when I turned it off I realized my touchscreen doesn't work. I downloaded the android version meant for latin america (I'm in Argentina) and it should be the correct one. Now because the phone was also restored to factory settings it is stuck in the setup screen, but since touchscreen doesn't work I can't do anything except reset or reset in fastboot mode. Any idea how to fix it? Edit: so if anyone runs into the same problem, you can check out this video from this very channel ruclips.net/video/IBeQj5U9TRQ/видео.html if you are running a doha version. For me the problem wasn't using the latest Magisk, but the fact that the boot.img I used was from a ROM that was very similar to mine but not exactly the same. If you run into a similar issue, or find yourself stuck in a bootloop, try using Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant. The software itself didn't work for me but it did for a lot of people, and even if it's not able to flash the ROM itself you can still see the exact version you need to find. If the Lenovo app doesn't work you can use the ADB commands in the video I just shared from Android Doctor, I used it and worked perfectly. P.S: this might be obvious, but if you can still turn your phone on in fastboot mode you probably don't need to open it, so you can skip that. Thanks again Android Doctor, you got a new suscriber :)
@@TheRealAndroidDoctor thanks for the help, man. I managed to rescue it and now it's up and running. I think the problem isn't using the latest Magisk app, because I used it and it worked perfectly. I think most of the issues stem from using a boot.img from a ROM that's very similar but not exactly the same, at least that was the case for me. One of the other videos helped me out a lot, so I'll edit my comment linking to it in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. Thanks again!
@@danielogoranu6561 it's pretty much explained in both my comments. The problem in my case was that I rooted based on the Android version for Latin America, and it turns out that I needed one specifically for Argentina. I recommend booting the phone in bootloader mode, connecting the phone to the PC and running the Lenovo Recovery Tool. If it doesn't fix it it will at least give you the exact android version you need to download. Then follow the steps on the video I linked and you should be fine. Once the OS is reinstalled, then you can you use Magisk for root.

It can't be used before update to last version
Uninstall the latest version if u have it installed then use the v8.0.2 version to get root

Now because the phone was also restored to factory settings it is stuck in the setup screen, but since touchscreen doesn't work I can't do anything except reset or reset in fastboot mode. Any idea how to fix it?

For me the problem wasn't using the latest Magisk, but the fact that the boot.img I used was from a ROM that was very similar to mine but not exactly the same. If you run into a similar issue, or find yourself stuck in a bootloop, try using Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant. The software itself didn't work for me but it did for a lot of people, and even if it's not able to flash the ROM itself you can still see the exact version you need to find. If the Lenovo app doesn't work you can use the ADB commands in the video I just shared from Android Doctor, I used it and worked perfectly.
P.S: this might be obvious, but if you can still turn your phone on in fastboot mode you probably don't need to open it, so you can skip that.

Use Lenovo recovery tool to fix it I think u used the newer version of magisk that why it caused the issue
@@TheRealAndroidDoctor thanks for the help, man. I managed to rescue it and now it's up and running. I think the problem isn't using the latest Magisk app, because I used it and it worked perfectly. I think most of the issues stem from using a boot.img from a ROM that's very similar but not exactly the same, at least that was the case for me. One of the other videos helped me out a lot, so I'll edit my comment linking to it in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. Thanks again!

@@danielogoranu6561 it's pretty much explained in both my comments. The problem in my case was that I rooted based on the Android version for Latin America, and it turns out that I needed one specifically for Argentina. I recommend booting the phone in bootloader mode, connecting the phone to the PC and running the Lenovo Recovery Tool. If it doesn't fix it it will at least give you the exact android version you need to download. Then follow the steps on the video I linked and you should be fine. Once the OS is reinstalled, then you can you use Magisk for root.
