Yerssssssss! Welcome back Nick. One thing I've learned from the last week is that I'll be lost for stuff to watch when the stadium is finally complete. 😂
Have to say the solar panelling does look good, I agree with you Nick. At first when they started i was thinking it was going to look ugly but I am surprised and they did a good job 👍
When we driving across from The Wirral for the Roma game we stopped outside Bramley Moore to have a look for the 1st time in about 6months and OMG it literally just takes your breath away, Drone footage doesn't do it justice in the slightest, going to our spiritual home Goodison for the past 50years, used to think that Goodison was absolutely huge or even the RS home across the Park was big but Bramley Moore is virtually twice the hight and size of both..!! In the beginning I think we were all a little sad to be moving home but F'Me this Stadium has gotten rid of all them fears, this is going to be truly MAGNIFICENT AND STRUCTURAL MASTERPIECE 💙UTFT 💙..!! Can't wait till next season and to move in, sending shivers down my spine already.. COYB
Nick, what a tidy site, credit to Langs 👏👏👏👏 the underneath cladding is called a soffit Nick mate. Maybe the plus shape wind breaker on the south east corner isn’t quite finished off. It also looks like all the seating has been 98% completed. Nick is that the old dock wall now on display in the west river ? If so the old stone staircase has also now reappeared 👏👏👏👏👏. Brilliant update mate.
Welcome back sir. Great flying & commentary. So much progress to see in just over a week. Really appreciate the quick turnaround from flight to posting. Top work Nick 👍
Greetings from Georgia, welcome back Nick, does anybody know what sort of power these solar panels provide and if it's substantial why not use all the roofed areas. I am also really impressed with the trees that have been planted they are going to give a great ambience to the whole site. As a former contractor, I cannot praise LOR enough what a fantastic job they have done and are continuing to do.
Thanks Mr D 👍🏻 By the way, they definitely won’t be filling the channel with water any time soon. There’s still a huge amount of sand to excavate. Not even half way through that task yet 👍🏻
I agree, Dunc. I think the limiting factor is actually the fact they're clearly still using a vehicular access 'loop' on the east side of the DNOC, over the channel area. So until they're sure that the time is right to use the permanent route to the west of the DNOC, I'd guess it will remain as we see now for a while yet..
Nice to see you back! LOR got a lot done without all the nosy drone flyers peeking in at them working 😉 The Security hut's in place by the northern entrance and what *might* be the start of the boundary fence too. There's a good few lamp posts gone in at what will be the water's edge of the western terrace, as well as the benches at the top of the steps. Am excited and nervous about the new season as per usual, COYB
Nice one Nick, before I head back overseas I've got a ticket to see your Toffees against Brighton on Saturday. If anyone fancies a pint afterwards let me know!
Great to be back at BMD, Nick. If you struggled to create enough content in the last week, I hope that you forward plan your subjects as the BMD build gradually completes. PoI's: 1) At 1:34 mins, there are a few features to note: a) They have yet to install the side panels to the Vehicular Gates, between the Galvanised Steel Posts and the tapered towers' walls. b) They have started the erection of the Security Fence along the northern perimeter and it looks so far to have reached the western end of the 13 Columnar Elm Trees behind the Pump house c) No one yet has focused in on the permanent Security Hut that was installed about 2-3 weeks ago now. d) It looks to me as if they have installed a Security Camera overlooking the Vehicular Gate, with the broader black post situated just on the plaza side of the wall. 2) At 2: 30 mins, I'd agree that there is plenty to do at the SE corner from just inside the Tower Gates and the temporary substations for the LoR offices. The very southernmost Tower Gate still needs the new gates and bollards fitted. There's more track to be laid there and then the accompanying new Granite Setts, concrete and reclaimed Old Setts to be laid. 3) At 3:15 mins, I know you struggle with the nomenclature of the split- or two-tier level concrete plinths that are, in effect steps AND benches but in time they should, if the plan is followed, have Cobalt-Blue tiling applied to the surfaces that will be 'Bench' as opposed to 'Step'. they should also, in theory, have some EFC mottos applied to them too. 4) At 3:49 to 3:53 mins, you can see that they have been fitting the Dark-Grey paneling to the tops of the entrances along the East Stand, either side of the Main Portal (Club shop). 5) At 4:50 mins, N.B. the paneling on the front of the Mansard Roof structure is not black but Dark-Grey. The paneling between the brick facades is black (and on the ends of the mezzanine), but Dark-Grey only is is used above the level of the Brick Facades, whether on the front of the Mansard Rooves (where all the Hospitality lounges and Kitchens are etc.,) or as the back-panels at the corners or bases of the underside of the terracing where they meet the concrete rooves, or even the perforated fencing around the Plant Facilities at the NE Corner. 6) I was surprised that at 14:28 mins you didn't spot the wood benches installed along the front edge of the mezzanine. Jokingly, I think they missed a trick with either the Wind Baffles along the South Concourse, the portholes in the Barrel-Cladding, these benches or some other feature, not to have made the following pattern at least (I'll be amused to see how long it takes for someone to work it out): ". ..-. -.-.", but then maybe the pattern spells out something else . . . . suggestions, please. 😉 7) I think you're getting ahead of yourself with regard to the channel dig and water migration. I think the limiting factor is the fact they're still using a vehicular route east of the old dock wall and DNOC. You can see they have not yet attempted to break up the weak concrete/sand mixture there and have only been removing the 'pure sand'. LoR will have to decide when to be using the western route on the West Quay, west of the DNOC properly before they remove the surface in the water channel. 8) It might be an idea to remind people there are 4 old dock gates situated in the old Dock Walls. The northern pair are largely under the 'dam' and the southern pair can now be seen clearly. I think they have a rusted steel skeleton and wood surfaces. I've tried to get the photos of them that were situated on the LCC Planning site but the photos and the documents have been removed. 9) At 16:40 mins, we can see that they have been painting the vertical posts under the North Stand Overhang. Some are currently the original black, some grey and some white. What's occurring, I wonder. It may just be undercoat and final coat finishes. 10) I'd appreciate a more focused look at all the joints and edging of the Standing -seam roof at the Access Stair Hatches, the Expansion joints and the walkways. It looks as though the innermost stretches of the Expansion Joints are not yet covered. in the plans, there are supposed to be another pair of reaches of walkway running along the Standing-seam Roof folowing the curve of the East and West edges. The rails along the east of the gutter are meant only to be temporary. However, so far, only Man-safe Anchor POints have been added along that curved edge of the standing-seam Roof. in addition I'd like to see what the finish actually comprises along the South Edge of the Standing-seam Roof, when viewed from on top of the Standing-seam roof/solar array walkways. 11) I think your expectations with regard to the pitch seeding is way out. I know LoR told you 19th August but there are lots of layers to be added yet and the EFC Official communique stated that the 'final seeding' would be in October, which seems to me to be much more realistic. Thanks again, Nick.
@@ambutter1978 AM: I think you may have inserted here following up your question in another channel and comment chain. I have studied the previous videos since my initial response and I have to say I agree with you. I wonder now if they're going to add more foundations so that the original design of one aligned with each South Stand white steel might play out or whether it's going to remain another challenge for those of an OCD or Perfect Symmetry disposition.
I stood on the fan plaza last week and a lot of the granite blocks are in and you don't realise just how big the fan plaza actually is it's a big expanse
Nick, as you were hovering over those North goal post holes I got a text from my clients, the South goal post holes. In essence, they said "If he doesn't show us and give us a mention we are walking off the job" (I've cleaned up the language). So well done mate otherwise God knows how our pitch would look with a goal at only one end.
Alright mate, been watching these videos for a while and i wondered if you are also an everton fan? I cant wait to get in this stadium and im gutted i no longer have a season ticket! Be sad to leave goodison though! UTFT! 💙
PJR: I am really surprised that, if you have watched his channel 'for a while', you have not noticed his videos that make it clear he is a 'through thick-and-thin' Blue, especially as he has produced several videos when attending matches. As we know, there has been more than enough 'thin' in the last 5 years or so.
@davidbadcock2225 😂 very suspicious arnt ye mate! My dad has these on all the time and shouts me to come in and see the latest update, so I come in have a look watch the stadium for a bit then leave to do what ever I'm doing, iv seen a few myself but iv never seen one video at the match or one of him saying I'm a blue I just see the videos on my feed sometimes and if its a new update on the stadium il give it a watch. I don't have notifications on yt tbh on any channel, I don't sit there waiting for "the bell" to watch my latest fix, when I go on RUclips il have a look through and click on whatever I fancy at the time. Also David I'm sorry about your bad cock situation... if you need any pointers let me know ye, hope it improves mate 😉
@@PJR29787 Wow! The logic dilemma exposure to my first point has got beyond you and in your last sentence you've revealed your lack of self-control for descending to the lowest common denominator. I guess you thought I'd be shocked or tickled by a commentary about my name that I've heard a million times in my life. You have my sympathies.
Brilliant once again Nick, we've missed these. Anyone have any idea how much power those solar panels will produce? Is it enough to power the whole stadium? More? Might help us with PSR! Cheers, Al
Great video Nick, thanks for sharing, are the towers at some of the entrances part of the original dock or were they constructed to reflect the tower in the Everton Crest / Badge? As a Liverpool fan I have to say what a superb stadium the Toffeemen will have very soon 👍
I have it Nick ! If possible... Do an episode from a boat on the Mersey 👍 Ok, we might not get to see much of the eastern elevation from the river, But that side features enough anyway, we're all familiar with that angle. I just thought a closer, lower perspective of the dig-out, & the whole Western facade would be interesting from a more realistic eye level scenario. As ever, Good coverage, It's coming along well towards completion. Well Done Nick. 👍 ((I hope Halifax Town get a 3rd round draw in the 1st season at BMD ! 👍))
Great video again Nick, can you take a closer look at the top of the steps on the western terrace? Looks like some huge benches installed over the last week UTFT
Grate update have to admit I'd be to tempted to build a a big sand castle. Yeah can't believe the new season is here already. Haven't bought my new shirt yet. Crazy how much has been done since you were grounded.
Good to see this back. One thing I have been thinking about now we are around a year away until our first league game, what do we know about the development of the site around the stadium? It would be interesting to know if any bars/restaurants are due to appear any time soon.
Great video as usual Nick Have you noticed the benches on the Mezzanine in the Westerm plaza? I can't believe they will ne seeding that in a week. The Eastern plaza is coming along nicely now.
Great to see you back Nick You Legend 🫶👌💪..!! I think you should change your name to Mr Everton instead of Mr Drone..!! A mate who works for Laing told me there's been groundheave under the East stand causing flexural cracks to the concrete substructure. They're planning to excavate a portion of the sand foundation and pump a polyurethane material in. Hopefully it's an isolated incident but it's concerning.
I'd like to say. When this is all finished. What happens to Nick? Are we all just saying, nice one son fair play now f*ck off.... Yer man has been a part of our lives, Evertonians, reds ( some great comments overall, just the odd nasty comment, but blooody hell...overall fantastic response) Then you have the stuff coming from other viewers from other clubs which has also been pretty positive. I'd like to think this is down to Nicks genuine positivety and his wow...immense drone coverage of the build. From Day one and what EFC where telling us and to finding out about Nick was telling us. It was obvious as soon as the first truck that went on to the site that EFC were stuck in the 1870's for building a stadium. Meanwhile Mister Nick came along....stuck a seagull in the air with a camera on its back and started giving us all shit. It's come to a stage now. Where we all as subscribers, viewers, onlookers just looking in at regular times have to give some credence and value to a man who has enlightened us all delivered us some priceless videos of the area and build along with his commitment. With the videos nick has given us all. I Think it would be appropriate that EFC was to provide an area, Video screen, room...I don't know showing Nicks work since the start...to the End. We can't let Nicks Work just go unnoticed..be honest here... If this development was to finish in 2030. The News and blarp coming from EFC would have us still connected with Homo Eructus. Meanwhile Nick has evolved and given his wondrous stuff over the years. Suggestions.?
Stewart: with that passionate comment, how about you get out your soap box and stand outside Everton 2, Liverpool 1 advocating your policy. 😉 There's no doubt that Nick has been an invaluable foundation to communication so sadly missing from EFC PR and he's to be thanked and congratulated for his dedicated commitment to the project, even if he's not been entirely alone in the mission.
Nice stadium, as a Chelsea fan I’m jealous but you need a new owner who has the clubs best interests at heart and obviously a good team to play in it good luck with that 😂
Lee: all 4 old dock gates will be retained. (I don't think they're wooden, incidentally. I think they're 'steel', which has rusted somewhat. i need to go check the old photos and get back to you on that if I can find the definitive answer to the material).
Mr D - please can you take a closer look at the trees near the hydraulic tower next time? Looks as though one has died and will have to be replaced. Unsurprising really - the correct time of year to plant trees is late autumn and winter
Great to have you back Nick👍 I know you can’t answer many questions but do you or anyone know how many safe standing seats were supposed to have when completed?
Lower tier of the south stand (home end) and the north east corner lower tier (away fans) will be rail seating (which the FA and PL call ‘safe standing’), but it’s one fan per rail seat. Unsure how many that is but would estimate at about 10,000
@@DuncTheBlue1878 thanks and I understand that but I’m trying to work out how they get to a possible 62000 capacity because if we have 10000 now the government aren’t going to allow a 2:1 ratio to achieve it hence me trying to find out an accurate number now? It should be easy to find but🤷♂️😂
@@stevenrichardson7882 62,000 capacity only achieved if the government change the law on safe standing to 3 fans per 2 rail seats. The seats in the north stand (home end) would have to be replaced too. Not going to happen, unfortunately
Hi great ya back week to my birthday week today annoyin them riots trouble they caused that u back for food now has it all calmed down over there still keep safe
Hi mate, on the south stand, any idea what the unglazed space directly above the bar area is going to be used for or will it be just an empty void? Seems a waste of space really. Cheers.
I'm assuming that all the insets into the seating areas at pitch level, are for wheelchair access. If it is, we must be offering more such access of any stadium in the country. I have been thinking that the wheelchair access areas in each of the northern corners, plus the area near the directors boxes, was as much as we were going to do, and high off the pitch level for safety reasons. The pitch level insets may well be for something different, but they appear on the computer generated video 3 years ago. Any ideas?
Sultan: take a look back at Mr Drone's Library, 24th November 2023, when he did a studio video on the the details of the locations for the Accessibility seating. It's odd to see it laid over the part-build at the time, now that the stadium is so much nearer completion.
Where the water channel will be was a dock full of water 3 years ago. The main job left to do there is to excavate the sand that was added 3 years ago.
@@DuncTheBlue1878 yes understood but Everton said in one of their communications walls an parts of the floor will need to coated or reinforced. Either way excavation is going to be 4-5 weeks at best.
@@leebutler582 I thought the concrete reinforced wall and floor the club were referring to was the new one on the east side of the water channel though, which they’ve done. I was under the impression they’re utilising the existing dock wall and floor on the west side of the water channel
Lee: Dunc's statements are correct. The only area that needed the 'water-proofing' are the new constructs, along the eastern side of the water channel, between the north and south curved walls of the old dock. The bed of the old dock and the West Quay are already, in effect, water-proof as they already were. the limiting factor is likely to be the use of the vehicular access around the east side of the DNOC, across the water channel. When they decide that they can use the West Quay for vehicular access, then they can start digging out the remainder of the water channel.
welcome back to the skies nick. isnt ahe looking great ? r we missing a trick by only having solar panels on the one end ? surly if we had the same on the other end and two sides we would be making alot if money generating power ?
Hi Nick, welcome back, i'm sure you must of answered this question before but do you know where and when the memorial/named inscription stones will be fitted?
David: yes, the question gets asked nearly every fortnight or so. they will be along The Everton Way which is along the South Concourse, between the nelson Dock balustrade and the bases of the South Stand Steels. LoR will not be laying those, EFC will have separate sub-contractors to carry out the 3 phases as part of the customisation process.
@@davidbennett6378 David: no. What I don't know is if EFC sub-contractors will start on it before LoR have completed their contract (in theory, November).
Kevin: the size of the pitch will be arbitrary to an extent as all clubs make the actual lines where they think appropriate, especially if there is an advantage to be had. However, the provision is for a larger pitch than at GP and more importantly it complies with the FIFA/UEFA requirements, such that international matches will be played here, most significantly the next Euros.
@@KevinWoodward-yc4ly its bigger than most other grounds and is one of the reason the stadium has been chosen to host some of the next Euoros. Analfield for example has not been chosen because the pitch is deemed too small.
Team bus will drive under the north stand overhang and drop players off at the north tunnel entrance under the west plaza terrace (in bad weather). On sunny days, the bus will drop the players off at the middle entrance at the bottom of the west plaza terrace, between the water channel and the steps
My OCD is playing havoc as it looks like the solar panels on the east side line up with the plexiglass edge but on the west side the panels look a bit short of the edge of the plexiglass! Nick can you take a close look at the security hut pls as everyone misses it out. Lastly is the base of the water channel to be concreted in? If not surely the water will wash out the sand under the stadium???
The area where the water channel will be used to be a dock full of water. EFC filled it with sand 3 years ago and they’re now painstakingly excavating it.
Hi Nick, great to see you back up in the air. One thing occurred to me while you were showing the entrances in the wall. Do you know if there are any plans to clean the rest of the wall that hasn’t been disturbed so that it all matches? Also, the southern most entrance that is still being worked on looks to have what appears to be a chimney on top. Did this used to be manned similar to a gatehouse?
Derek: the walls will not be further cleaned. They will 'age'. The Heritage Stakeholders wanted the minimum of work done, merely to protect it. The chimneys on the larger central towers of both the the southern and northern gates were there because there was a single room inside them that was used by Dock Police to control access. Hence also the windows and doors.
Perspective is everything and the size of this is more than you are imagining. The rough distance between the base of the concrete terracing and the actual goal-line is about 7m.
@auphioguy I think the fencing a long the front of the west and east stand just above the barrel cladding will be removed eventually as it was put in place for the roofers safety. But the fencing a long the walkways will be permanent so they have something to hold onto on windy days.
Hi Nick, great to have you back, but one thing im seeing is what looks like old wooden lock gates in the south end of the water channel that i would have though may need removing before the channel is filled with water??
Roy: all 4 of the old Dock gates will remain in situ. i don't think they are wooden, incidentally, but I'll check up on that and update you if I find they are not actually rusted steel.
@@royhicks3957 Yes, Roy, I'd agree. I think they probably have now-rusted steel-frames, or skeltons, which have wood shuttering or cladding affixed to them. I've tried to get at the photos and documents from the LCC planning website, as they showed the heritage features all listed and photo'd in full. However, LCC have removed those documents now, unfortunately, and browsing doesn't seem to be coming up with them either.
@@davidbadcock2225 many thanks for looking into this David as im puzzled why they would fill the channel with water before tidying up both lock gates, thanks again David.
@@royhicks3957 That's much easier to answer. The Heritage Stakeholders didn't want them disturbed or messed about with. They have generally taken the direction of travel of keeping everything 'as was', as much as possible.
John: no. They don't need to as the base of the water channel is actually the base of the old dock, remember. The water-proofing at the eastern edge of the water channel is to prevent water getting under the 'new features' placed in the old dock, such as the Lower promenade and West Plaza, That's why the concreting only goes as far as the join with the curved old dock walls.
Hi Nick, will the gates along the dock wall be open on non match days for fans to walk around the ground whenever they want like they would at Goodison? Thanks
Edith: the size of the pitch will be arbitrary to an extent as all clubs make the actual lines where they think appropriate, especially if there is an advantage to be had. However, the provision is for a larger pitch than at GP and more importantly it complies with the FIFA/UEFA requirements, such that international matches will be played here, most significantly the next Euros.
Floodlights were installed on the front top rail of the walkway that goes around all four stands through the roof trusses. At 15:52 mins in this video you can just about make out the reflections of some of the cowels on the light mountings on the walkway that travels thought the south stand trusses behind the big screen. They are mounted in banks of 3-5 depending on location. They are not huge as LED lighting is so efficient, mind.
About 40,000 in total (9,000 more than currently at Goodison). With 35,000 on the waiting list, that will be 26,000 disappointed Blues. The capacity should have been 60,000 at the least.

7) I think you're getting ahead of yourself with regard to the channel dig and water migration.

It’s looking well Nick👍
Brilliant as always Nick
Be interesting to get the architects to discuss your weekly fligh round and answer questions
Brilliant job Nick 👍🏻
Nick, as you were hovering over those North goal post holes I got a text from my clients, the South goal post holes. In essence, they said "If he doesn't show us and give us a mention we are walking off the job" (I've cleaned up the language). So well done mate otherwise God knows how our pitch would look with a goal at only one end.
🤣
😂
Alright mate, been watching these videos for a while and i wondered if you are also an everton fan? I cant wait to get in this stadium and im gutted i no longer have a season ticket! Be sad to leave goodison though! UTFT! 💙
Yes, Mr D is a proud Blue

Brilliant once again Nick, we've missed these. Anyone have any idea how much power those solar panels will produce? Is it enough to power the whole stadium? More? Might help us with PSR! Cheers, Al
Welcome back Nick🎉
Cant wait for a stadium tour. come on you BLUES.
Great video Nick, thanks for sharing, are the towers at some of the entrances part of the original dock or were they constructed to reflect the tower in the Everton Crest / Badge? As a Liverpool fan I have to say what a superb stadium the Toffeemen will have very soon 👍
The ‘towers’ were there before the build - listed heritage buildings
I have it Nick !
If possible... Do an episode from a boat on the Mersey 👍
Ok, we might not get to see much of the eastern elevation from the river, But that side features enough anyway, we're all familiar with that angle.
I just thought a closer, lower perspective of the dig-out, & the whole Western facade would be interesting from a more realistic eye level scenario.
As ever, Good coverage, It's coming along well towards completion.
Well Done Nick. 👍
((I hope Halifax Town get a 3rd round draw in the 1st season at BMD ! 👍))
Great video again Nick, can you take a closer look at the top of the steps on the western terrace? Looks like some huge benches installed over the last week

Grate update have to admit I'd be to tempted to build a a big sand castle. Yeah can't believe the new season is here already. Haven't bought my new shirt yet. Crazy how much has been done since you were grounded.
Progressed loads that Nick. Thanks
I wonder when they will test the sound system, full flood lights and score boards?
Wasn’t expecting this video Nick, thought you’d still be in bed mate! 🚙 😴
Great to have the drones back! Quick Q..I presume the water channel will have to be concreted on the sides and floor before water can be added?
No more concrete because 3 years ago it was already a dock full of water (until sand was added)
Good to see this back. One thing I have been thinking about now we are around a year away until our first league game, what do we know about the development of the site around the stadium? It would be interesting to know if any bars/restaurants are due to appear any time soon.
Magnificent
Great video as usual Nick Have you noticed the benches on the Mezzanine in the Westerm plaza? I can't believe they will ne seeding that in a week. The Eastern plaza is coming along nicely now.
Great video on channel thanks for the share on channel thanks lee

A mate who works for Laing told me there's been groundheave under the East stand causing flexural cracks to the concrete substructure. They're planning to excavate a portion of the sand foundation and pump a polyurethane material in. Hopefully it's an isolated incident but it's concerning.
Love this kind of version actually, wish it was this instead of the music as I love your commentary.
Just looks like a new Morrisons store!
Sure others have mentioned but you missed the benches at the top of the steps on the West Plaza

Good job 😀
There's no doubt that Nick has been an invaluable foundation to communication so sadly missing from EFC PR and he's to be thanked and congratulated for his dedicated commitment to the project, even if he's not been entirely alone in the mission.
Thanks for this Stewart, really do appreciate your kind words mate 🙏
Another good un mate.
fantastic Nick
Beautiful stadium
Good question Nick. How good is it to fly again. You are the first and fogging great mate 😂
I'd like to know how much power those solar panels will generate.
What drone do use please?
Nice stadium, as a Chelsea fan I’m jealous but you need a new owner who has the clubs best interests at heart and obviously a good team to play in it good luck with that 😂
Great vid again Mr D. do you know if the original wooden lock gates will be kept or will they be removed ?
The security hut is now built 👍🏼
Hi great ya back week to my birthday week today annoyin them riots trouble they caused that u back for food now has it all calmed down over there still keep safe
One day soon it will be the best championship ground
Any ideas?
There are a variety of wheelchair platforms in all the stands and at various levels. Far better than Goodison. Equates to 0.6% of the stadium capacity
@@DuncTheBlue1878 About 300 + a carer with each one. Room for 600? Looks like plenty of room for all.
@@SultanofWoolton Yeah, about 300 (excluding carers). I think the PL average is less than that.
Sultan: take a look back at Mr Drone's Library, 24th November 2023, when he did a studio video on the the details of the locations for the Accessibility seating. It's odd to see it laid over the part-build at the time, now that the stadium is so much nearer completion.
I reckon 5-7 weeks before we see water it will need fully digging out then concreting walls and floors then add water.
@@davidbadcock2225 Thanks David, any idea of a timeline?
@@davidbennett6378 David: no. What I don't know is if EFC sub-contractors will start on it before LoR have completed their contract (in theory, November).
Hi Nick. Was that Wooden seating at the water channel side of the stadium?
Is there any building taking place in the local area. The last time I was there, there was nothing being developed but the stadium, which is bad
Yeah, Liverpool Waters
Welcome back Nick, do we know the size of the pitch, will it be bigger, smaller and how will it compare to other grounds in the premier league ?
Kevin: the size of the pitch will be arbitrary to an extent as all clubs make the actual lines where they think appropriate, especially if there is an advantage to be had. However, the provision is for a larger pitch than at GP and more importantly it complies with the FIFA/UEFA requirements, such that international matches will be played here, most significantly the next Euros.
@@KevinWoodward-yc4ly its bigger than most other grounds and is one of the reason the stadium has been chosen to host some of the next Euoros. Analfield for example has not been chosen because the pitch is deemed too small.
Great video as always. Any ideas where the coach will go?
Team bus will drive under the north stand overhang and drop players off at the north tunnel entrance under the west plaza terrace (in bad weather). On sunny days, the bus will drop the players off at the middle entrance at the bottom of the west plaza terrace, between the water channel and the steps
Brill mate
Indeed it did 👍🏻
Derek: the walls will not be further cleaned. They will 'age'. The Heritage Stakeholders wanted the minimum of work done, merely to protect it.
The chimneys on the larger central towers of both the the southern and northern gates were there because there was a single room inside them that was used by Dock Police to control access. Hence also the windows and doors.
Question, Nick, if the goal posts go in the marked spots, where will the nets be. The goal posts look very very close to the seating.
Nets will go behind the goal posts - there’s plenty of room (more space there than at the Gwladys end)
Perspective is everything and the size of this is more than you are imagining. The rough distance between the base of the concrete terracing and the actual goal-line is about 7m.
Is the fencing on the roof permanent? It doesn't look as slick with it
@auphioguy I think the fencing a long the front of the west and east stand just above the barrel cladding will be removed eventually as it was put in place for the roofers safety. But the fencing a long the walkways will be permanent so they have something to hold onto on windy days.
Very tight space between the pitch and terrace?
Hi Nick, great to have you back, but one thing im seeing is what looks like old wooden lock gates in the south end of the water channel that i would have though may need removing before the channel is filled with water??
Roy: all 4 of the old Dock gates will remain in situ. i don't think they are wooden, incidentally, but I'll check up on that and update you if I find they are not actually rusted steel.
@@davidbadcock2225 Hi David, there appears to be rusted steel amongst the wooden timbers?
Are you sure we are going to grow a pitch? Does that happen anymore and if so is there a reason that would make it better than turf. Great vid
Wont they seal the water channel with concrete and membrane like a swimming pool?
Great to be back 👍 what stand are you in on Saturday?
Park End mate
Hi Nick, will the gates along the dock wall be open on non match days for fans to walk around the ground whenever they want like they would at Goodison? Thanks
Yes
@@DuncTheBlue1878 Thanks mate

What size pitch are we getting everyone is very quite on that subject

However, the provision is for a larger pitch than at GP and more importantly it complies with the FIFA/UEFA requirements, such that international matches will be played here, most significantly the next Euros.
Great work, but can't see any floodlights?
They are there Nick has shown them on previous videos 👍
Yep, floodlights were installed last year
Floodlights were installed on the front top rail of the walkway that goes around all four stands through the roof trusses. At 15:52 mins in this video you can just about make out the reflections of some of the cowels on the light mountings on the walkway that travels thought the south stand trusses behind the big screen. They are mounted in banks of 3-5 depending on location. They are not huge as LED lighting is so efficient, mind.
How many more season tickets will be available compared to Goodison?
About 40,000 in total (9,000 more than currently at Goodison). With 35,000 on the waiting list, that will be 26,000 disappointed Blues. The capacity should have been 60,000 at the least.
