The roads all over Europe are in good shape Romania is a bit hit and miss like uk and as long as you fill up well south of north france you are ok your truck did well and she pulled up them mountains i like the services in most Europe uk needs a lot to be desired now gyou have this done where in Europe do you go next . I am going from Invergordon an alness in Scotland to madrid and alicante next week and remember get a toll box save dane all ghat hassle at tolls your now a long haul trucker

Good job on your first Continental run!! Saddens me to see/hear the decline of quality of life in UK. Not just roads but services and people generally taking a little pride in their work. I follow several truckers (female) who drive in Europe exclusively and while they have the odd complaint overall they seem to have an easier go of it. Mind you, roads in USA are worse than UK so I feel your pain!!
Why do thise scanias have such small cabs? Like compared to my FHXL I have loads more room. I had a Topline before but never liked the way the floor was designed nor the small fridge!

On route for class 1 licence soon, I am getting very tempted for EU/TIR driving as I enjoy working alone but can operate in teams/ pairing and operated long distance before. However, I do think getting experience driving in the UK and the size maybe important first. Any advice is appreciated.
If we all agree we want road surfaces as good as across the water, would we agree to £500 worth of tolls a week to fund it? Then £30/40 a week on our cars? #carefulwhatwewishfor I do however believe that any foreign vehicles entering the UK should pay pro rata’d road tax for their visit to put everyone on the same level, which would potentially raise a bob or 2 for better road surfaces.

And one last thing is sign language too is so damn interesting, I shocked myself in passing an American Sign Language class in college, the signs I see some people throw will always have me wondering what does it mean if I’ve never heard of it.
David doesn’t have a clue about running a business clearly. The key is to make money and using the blanc and all motorways in France with toll charges is ridiculous. You can do the same trip using the Simplon in Swiss via besancon and pontarlier in France for a fraction on the cost and then use the ghottard on the return journey
