hectic reacts sober reaction hearing lost in vegas review Видеоклипы
My favourite tool song ever. I’m about to be 3 years sober and I listen to this song to remind me of how far I’ve come and a reminder of what I put my family through.
Every day anew, brother.
One foot at a time, keep on keepin on.
Lol yeah I’ve prob heard every tool song 20 times and this is still my fav song
Tool songs to check out.
Vicarious.
The pot.
Stinkfist
Vicarious \m/ also big fan of lateralus and Jambi
Also Parabol/Parabola
Lmao stinkfist.
Lemme fix this list for you.
Tool songs to check out:
All of them
May Rose damn good list
Maynard suffered from crippling stage fright and that's where the darkness and fear seems to come from when he preforms. The world needs more Maynard.
The way he danced while he sang this song reminds of someone who truly knows the dark side of sobreity and the pain that comes with it!
Thanks maynard
No doubt..
been sober going on 30 years now.
@@silviafox78 25 years and it is still struggle on bad days to stay that way but i get through those bad days keep it up.
@@hillbillytrucker8347 God Bless
yessss!!! more Tool!! super stoked 😁 definitely need to listen to more
I think Crawl Away live would be great
Pushit live also would be great from Salival!
Agreed. More '][' ([]) ([]) [_ !!!
\
Third eye
I love prying open my third eye.
I think it's necessary to mention the insane control he has over his voice while standing and convulsing. The power behind his voice is truly a one of a kind thing. Nice video man 🤘🏽
Tool is great, when I saw them in 2000 all Maynard was wearing was some tidy whities and was painted completely blue. My dad was a little confused, to say the least.
At least he got to witness jerk off
tool didn't tour in 2000, maybe that was your dad?
I saw them 2017 or 2018 and he was wearing full riot gear
@@adrianoof7217 why the fuck is shroud watching to reaction videos?
Dude, bringing your dad to a show is always entertaining as hell lol. I brought my dad to Nine Inch Nails when I was 15 and he loved it at the time, but later on denied it and said the music was evil and all this shit. Pretty hilarious.
he was slumped over and trying to act like a ”junkie” to make the performance more relatable to the message he was trying to portray in the song
Now wait for Tool fans’ invasion in the comment section. We need more Tool!
Listen to *Passenger*, it's a duett between Chino (Deftones) and Maynard (Tool), that's just incredibly power- and beautiful!!
Yes yes yes!! THIS!
Agreed
As a teen I was in a car accident listening to that song. Granted we were on acid. Very rural area so we were the only ones at risk.
And sexy. Just sayin’.
BEST SONG EVER!!!!
That is the lure of TOOL. They suck you in. Arguably, one of the best bands to come along. Their music is a journey. It’s funny that you say Maynard being the focal point, because if you see them live now(and for the past 15-20 years) he signs from behind or beside the drum kit. He has said that the music should be the focal point. Do yourself a favour and listen to more of their music. Start with the album Undertow. Not only does it have the song Sober, but other greats like Prison Sex, 4 Degrees, and the title track Undertow.
he should really start at the beginning with opiate bad ass ep and the title track is the shiiiiiit
Someone said it is also due to his crippling stage fright, someone Till (Ramstein) suffers from too.
You are correct. He even went on to call his fanatic fans retards because he is so sick of people overlooking the bigger picture.
Tool belongs to the Rock & Roll HOF.
But that onesie will be inducted first IMO.
His stage anxiety made him weird af but still, one of the best live metal vocals out there
i don't doubt he has anxiety, but he's said he was basically trolling everybody back then by intentionally looking and acting as weird and unappealing as he could so that people wouldn't worship him as a cool rock star
The way he performed live right there. It seemed like he was emulating his friend, whom the song is about. At least that's the vibe I got.
It's not metal rather it's hardrock
siddhant koirala you dumb asf
Plus he was fucked up on basically everything back then
Tool - The Grudge
Maynard is totally possessed by the music.
I think he was possessed by LSD, no judgement, only good drug there is in my opinion, after doing them all, its literally the only one i would still want to do, and i could be wrong.
His vocals are amazing and then having his diaphragm blocked bending over throughout it 👏🏻👏🏻 talented as ….. Tool always gets you right in the guts Alex !!!!
Back when maynard used to stand in the front
Lataralus by tool please listen to this he based the song off of the Fibonacci sequence and mathematics
GameBeast seconded! It’s an eargasmically perfect piece of music!!!
Theres a video explaining it
I like maths as much as the next guy, but even disregarding that, Lataralus is simply amazing. Truly stands out as one of the best pieces of music ever written.
GameBeast a bit of an r/iamverysmart-esque thing to say, I'll be honest lmao
actually if you use the Fibonacci sequence you can reorder the tracks of the album of lateralus and you get what they called The Divine gift there's actually a video of the entire album in this sequence on RUclips
Guaranteed Maynard put that onsie on and said "this looks super clean" 😂🤦♂️.
Ikr, what Alex doesn't realize is that It was 1993. I'm sure Maynard put it on and thought, "This looks like I just dug this outta the dumpster. I'm never taking it off!"
The early 90's were extremely weird. Don't listen to those who tell you otherwise, they obviously didn't live during that time period.
I'm so glad you watched that video!! This was the video that got me even more interested in Tool. I knew this song from driving around with my bf, but as he showed me the video i just knew i have to look up other songs from them too
Yes, Alex, do more Tool! Each their song is a true music and spiritual journey.
FIRST! Please React to Tool: The Pot OR Vicarious!
Or the grudge, schism, lateralus, and the patient would be great reactions
@@ansonreid2862 yeah, I was going towards the Heavy side, cause I thought he would like those. But Parabol/Parabola, Stinkfist, and 46 & 2 would be also great!
Yes for Parabol/parabola !
The energy they had when they were young was on a spiritual level
One of my favorite bands I have seen live. He wore total black swat gear so he was only visible because of a single light on the top of his head. Spent two songs singing and crawling around creeping behind the drummer and then slowly made his way up front midway through the third song. Dude was a total animal.
Yeah the performance was cool. But man why didn't he comment on how good the actual singing was. He sounds almost exactly like the studio version.
You'd love listening to interviews of Maynard since you enjoy Manson interviews. He's insanely intelligent and interesting.
Lindsey Cavanagh another interesting fact. He always sings looking off to the side because he’s stage fright and that’s how he deals with it
That I did not know. I've seen him live several times between Tool and A Perfect Circle and did notice that but didn't know he had stage fright. I'm glad he powers thru it and has created so much amazing music and art. I've always been curious to try his wine, that's another side business and passion he has.
Another fun fact is he is a total dick bag
he THINKS hes super smart, he comes over like a twat
Check out "the Art Of Work" with Keenan. Neat video.
Gives me the chills every time I see this video! To see them in concert is like an acid trip without the acid.
Just what I needed today mate, great reaction! Stoked you dig this classic aswell
React to Maynard body-slamming a dude on stage
Do 46 and 2 by tool
Can´t wait
Thats the pale man from pan's Labyrinth
Finally you react with this awesome video!! hahaha
Hey! I love your reactions to live recordings, especially such legendary ones as this one. Keep exploring further!
Dude you really need to try Tool's Lateralus and Schism. Also Wings for Marie pt 1 and 10000 days (Wings part 2). Now, I know you usually do research on the songs before listening, but I can't stress enough how important it is to research Wings pt 1 and 10000 days. If without context they can hit you in the feels, knowing what the songs are about will obliterate you for the rest of the week. Also it's important that you watch lyrics videos from Tool. The lyrics are one of the band's highlights
He really need to try ALL Tool songs, isn't that true
A Perfect Circle. it's another Maynard James Keenan project, I'd recommend either Disillusioned, The Doomed, The Outsider, or 3 Libras to start with.
Fenthule Judith
The Doomed, for sure!!
Agreed 100%, adding Talk Talk tho
I like By and Down
All of those, plus Judith!
Can I just say... your reaction is priceless but absolutely right. I get so angry when people watch this performance and say he looks like a maniac and crazy. He is an amazing performer and an absolute genius! He puts his heart and soul into his lyrics, his vocals, his song writing, and his performances because performing is not just a show, he explains it as an art form. Maynard is my hero!
For those whom dont know, Maynard also has many bands he has performed with, because he says that he has many different styles to him, and many different sides to him, so he needs to spread it through different bands. Each band sticks with a different art form of their own.
Also, Maynard, to me, is a genius because he can play EVERY instrument and sing. In some of his earliest work and moments, his songs were written by only him, performed by only him, produced by only him. No one else was involved in anyway. He played the guitar bass and drums on every song and did all vocals. When he went on tour and played shows, he hired a band to learn his music and play with him. When he did that though, he would get frustrated because others were given credit for all his hard work. When all in all, it was entirely him. I would have been furious if that were me, but he handled it well and just moved on to joining bands and just working with other people. But he will always pitch in on writing the music for drums and guitar riffs and bass, of course.
Just a bunch of useless info I figured people would like to know. Maynard is my absolute hero and I've worked with SO MANY BANDS over 200, but I still havent been able to work with him and I want to so bad. Just be able to tap into his brain and talk to him about his brilliance. Tool has always been my favorite band of his... 2nd favorite is A Perfect Circle. Both bands have this thing about them, you cant help but love them! The collective brilliance of the entirety of the whole band playing together, they have this connection to each other that makes it all work and flow SO WELL
YES! THIS is what we've been waiting for!!!! 😊😊😊
Ahhhh man I miss the 90's
When Reading Festival ment something.
Please check out his other band, A Perfect Circle
I concur. I'll suggest Judith.
and Puscifer….
Yes!!
Judith is amazing
A Perfect Circle has a live record that is called "Stone & Echo". The vocalist (James Maynard Keenan who is the same as in Tool) was in perfect vocal shape that day. Check out on "The Outsider" or "Passive"
I always saw his performance as just super intense. Totally befitting of the song. Like the song almost requires that kinda performance out of him. The fact he gets that voice out of his body like that is nothing short of perfection. I joined the Tool Army the moment I saw this in the 90's. They're just on another level 🤘❤️
It’s the passion that he puts into the song ! That’s what you hear 👂! Great video
Devin Townsend - Deadhead (Royal Albert Hall)
It's been so long and you haven't even checked it out yet! Was one of the best live songs I've had the pleasure of witnessing in person and apparently everyone on the internet agrees!
Steel Panther - Death To All But Metal (ft Corey Taylor)
Tenacious D - Kickapoo
You have been asking for these almost as long as I've been asking for Nirvana. I've been asking for like 2 months straight and I don't think I'm any closer lol
@@spotfest7266 that doesn't mean give up!
I love Tool. Sober has one of the best opening guitar riffs. The song's instantly recognizable.
i'm about to watch this.. the punch sound effect in your intro always cracks me up
*Wintersun-Sons of winter and stars*
I won't give up and you know that Alex.
This is the only song you request. Why not request a Death song? Lol
I've been asking for this for weeks now....I'm losing hope.
Highly recommend the Live version at the Pump studios (REMASTERED)
Are you the new justin y? Lol
I clicked so fast and liked it before watching it lol
i do this literally every alex hefner video. i already know it's gonna be good so i like before watching the video
Y’all are both awesome! ❤️

Great video mah dude, you definitely need to get deeper into tool, they're such a crazy good band in so many undiscribable ways. Great reaction, keep up the good work!
who else is ready for August when both a new album from these guys AND they will be on Spotify/iTunes
Dio - Rainbow In the Dark
One of the best songs ever created in the history of music, and my favorite Dio song \m/
Wintersun-Sons of winter and stars!
One of my favorite Tool songs has always been “H”!!! Yes, the name of the song is “H” &, IT KICKS ASS!!!!! I love how it constantly & methodically keeps building like a pot of water under 🔥 until it finally ERUPTS!!!!!! 🤟🏼
Yo alex don't worry about revisiting bands, there are so many amazing songs for each artist you listen to, it wouldn't make sense to not revisit a band especially if you like them. I'm sure people say not to listen to the same bands because they want you to get to bands they like personally, which I will admit there are some songs/bands i want you to listen to that you haven't yet, but either way it's your channel so ultimately you decide what to post! Keep doing you my guy, thank you so much for the great content!!
I'm always down for some Tool, but I have a suggestion that may get some push-back from other people, and that is that if you're going to do more Tool in the future, DON'T do their actual music videos. Their videos are visually amazing, but if you're trying to take in the lyrics, they can be a little distracting.
That said, MJK's personal arch can be followed through this music. You should check out A Perfect Circle - Judith.
A Morgan totally agree. And Judith is one of my favorite songs ever.
Devin Townsend - Kingdom (Live at EMGtv) OR Deadhead (Live at Royal Albert Hall) !!
I really hope he eventually does Deadhead at RAH. Been requesting it for about a year
Fire! 🔥🔥🔥
You definitely need to check out more TOOL.
Tool - Jimmy
Aenima
Basically Tool's diss track to LA
Dream Theater - Under a Glass Moon (LIVE score)
Dream Theater - Pull Me Under
Excellent video to react to! Welcome to the glory of Tool!
This song is still a monster. I come back to it every so often and is still so moving.
Volbeat 'Heaven nor hell'.
tregonzo hangman’s Body Count!
Lola Montez 👍 they don’t have a bad song
Yeees!! This community needs more volbeat fans! Thank you very much for suggesting Volbeat and thanks for all the people who gave a like to this comment!
"We thank you people... For being around....."
nice to know I'm not the only asshole in the room.
TOOL is an experience…welcome to the spiral
tool isnt only music... tool is no feeling... tool is no experience... tool is a religion...
Seelenwinter 666…religion is fiction. Therefor TOOL is an experience
Perfect comment🙌🙌🙌
We need moar Tool
Your reactions are the greatest dude. Honestly love the way you do a video, not pausing 5000 times, yet still just enough to get what you need to say about that bit out. Respect dude
Tool is one of my number one favorite bands. They were my first concert when I was 15! It was a sold out show at a Colosseum here in Albuquerque, NM. Hands down best show I’ve ever been too. And I’ve been to countless concerts and festivals since then.
Please react to "love?" From Strapping Young Lad 😁
Been asking forever for this, Canada needs some love!
That would be awesome!!!
crushedcranium, I checked them out yesterday after seeing your request & I do THANK YOU for introducing me, an old Metal Grandma to this band & I definitely want to see more! Props! ✌👍🔥
Great suggestion, but I'd prefer Relentless or Detox. Just a matter of taste though :)
Hell yeah! Retinal Circus or old studio version though?
A perfect circle - 3 libras !!!!!!!!
Can't believe this was a first to ya. Tools live stuff almost always has a different twist to it and that's another reason they are so great live.Good music will give ya them goosebumbs everytime.
Have loved this song since the first time I heard it and then kept listening to Tool so awesome
Nightwish - Ghost love score - Live at Wacken 2013
Elisabet Sobeck any of the Nightwish ladies would be awesome starting from the beginning just to see the band progression
Tarja was the best. A true operatic voice.
I prefer Floor. Because she can sing like soprano, but rock/metal voice too.
I feel like someone will haze me for liking all three
"There is something about Tool", if I had a nickle every time I Heard that in a reaction video! :D
I love hearing Maynard sing, he's one of my favourite singer's. Love this performance, he's mesmerising.

Ne Obliviscaris-Intra Venus 🤘 (Also if you're gonna do more Tool, listen to Lateralus. One of their best.)
Wow that is my first time seeing them perform live and that pink onesie and those movements are one of a kind now I feel like watching more of their live performances
I got to see them live in May 2019 and it was an incredible show!! Not just musically but they put on an amazing visual show!
That reaction to watching him on stage is everyone's first reaction 🤣 strange, intriguing, but so damn good!
Not that strange if youve ever seen someone with the shakes
React to Opeth Ghost Of Perdition Live at the Roundhouse
I'm pretty sure i reco'd this too. Their live is one of the best out there :)
Hey bro,
Love your channel, the authenticity of your reactions remind me of myself when I heard the songs all those years ago. It's great to see that people still have this initial joy, not only with metal, but music in general.
Having said that, I think you'll definitely enjoy King Diamond's Welcome Home or Halford's Resurrection
Cheers!
LISTEN TO A PERFECT CIRCLE!!! It's the lead singers other band. He's amazing. MJK!!
Please react to either "eulogy" or "the grudge" or "vicarious" by tool as well.
I guarantee you will love them.
It starts with the feeling. As you dig into the lyrics it will blow you away.
EXCELENTE QUE HAYAS ESCUCHADO A TOOL!!... Saludos desde Chile bro!!
Imagine being the fan in the crowd Maynard decided to stare at that entire song. Looking straight threw your damn soul lol
Jason Richardson: Hos Down. I recommend the Meinl Cymbals video. It's live in studio.
I subscribed to just because you reacted to this. 🤘
Loved it saw tool in concert and they can pull a hell of a show👍❤️!!!
Tool - Right in two (music video) is super trippy and awesome.
sabaton the last stand
I think lost battalion or sparta though
I’ve seen Tool live 2x and they are amazing. Definitely check out more Tool please
I like that you were really serious listening to this. It is captivating.
For Tool, Stinkfist. Definitely Stinkfist.
My fav ❤️... It is so powerful to hear it during a crazy running in the park 😅
Wintersun - Sons of Winter and stars
The only sensible words after listening to Tool for the first time. Wow.... lol thumbs up bro
You know the way you reacted to his vocals is pretty much how people reacted when they first saw him perform. I've heard stories of people back in 1991-1992 mind blown. I'm almost done with his book and it's amazing how he simply never told people of his talent after thinking music wasn't for him. Then once he got into the right group of friends he sang once and they were amazed! Tool's first show was apparently insane! You can watch some of their first ever shows on RUclips. Holy shit. He just gets into the song right before it starts then when it ends he comes back to the present day as if he didn't just do those crazy vocals.
Yes tool again love tool!!!! Alex PLEASE REACT TO SKINDRED: KILL THE POWER!!!!
or rat race..that would be nice
That to would be sweet...
