I've owned the dark side for almost 4 years and still enjoy wearing it when I'm rotating my time pieces. It is not for everyone however the high level of materials and movement make it a piece warranting a conversation. Omega watches are not for show, they are for a confident collector not needing validation. Great intel again as always Teddy, stay well!
Hi Teddy so glad to know that is astonishing piece is gaining once again that surprise and excitement back from 2013. As an owner of this very unique piece, this watch captivates me every single day! I
Absolutely one of my favorite watches. Love to see this thoughtful overview of the details. I’ve been grateful to wear & enjoy both the new Apollo 8 and the Black/Black DSOTM models.
Got the Pitch Black variant because the lume lights everything up in the dark - the hands, indices, tachymeter scale, crown, and even the Omega logo itself!
You’d be surprised how it actually wears. The case back is flat so it’ll sit very flush on your wrist and the black case has a slimming effect. I wouldn’t shy away from the watch based on specs on paper.
I once owned this and the Apollo 8. Sold them both because it looked too big. Now after watching this video, I have some regrets selling them, and will start hunting again.....
Black watches are not for everyone. But this is so special that the name matches Pink Floyd’s favorited album. I owns speedmaster professional and glad to have this as well. It’s so modern in appearance and the movement is a work of art. If Omega can build one both smaller in diameter and thickness it will be perfect.
I collected this watch in the beginning of the year. What a nice watch! Thanks Teddy for sharing the darkside of the moon 🖤, that I personally think is an underrated collection out of the more popular moonwatch professional
When I got my Seamaster, I got to see this one to be honest for the price I wouldn’t buy it, it’s one of those watches you need to see in the boutique. I think the speed master 57 is better. Hopefully I can own a green dial 57 one day.
@@ManWith2Hatswhere? Ceramic is virtually scratch proof, usually what appears to be a scratch is merely material transferred on to the case. A simple eraser removes it.
All watch RUclipsra now.... Black Bay, divers, Rolex, divers, Speedmaster, divers, divers, best watch under, Rolex, Black Bay, divers, black bay, etc... rinse repeat Would love to see some variety pop up.
@@radidoc4832 agree it sounds very large but doesn’t wear very big imo. Probably something to do with it being black ceramic and the sapphire case back.
Looks btfl, but contrary to Rolex, the market is flooded by so many versions…in addition to exploding supply, they bumped up the price in a way that is not commensurate to me.
Ive owned a few Speedmasters and sold them all. Personally think it’s one of the most overrated watches on the market. Chrono is useless in the computer age. omega, which I LOVE, are becoming the masters of variations on a theme
That's most watches the last year or too. Even Daytona's are down a lot on the secondary market. I picked up a mint condition 8-month-old "Grey Side of the Moon" version of this watch recently for $7700, and it's truly stunning - especially for the price of a much more basic new gen Speedmaster Professional moon watch.
I always see folks afraid to break those ceramic watches. For the record I would never drop a 10k watch and anyone who does should expect catastrophe even in a steel case.
Brittle is a strong word. I don’t think it would shatter if dropped on tile from a short height. Maybe teddy should start doing drop tests for the views??
"Final points of consideration at the End"!😂😂😂wtf is this some huge real-estate property? It's a fu...g piece of Overpriced Crap with 300yr old technology that tells time Inaccurately for Christ sake!!
Interesting all these watch guys are raving about this watch. Just left the omega boutique and it's not all that. It looks like a toy with no wrist presence. Not sure what you are all smoking...come on man!

As an owner of the Apollo 8 i absolutely love the DSOTM line. And i dont baby mine and havent had any issues with wearing a ceramic watch as a daily
Owned mine for about 7 months now and I love it
I love Teddy Bulbasaur reviews

My favorite: Blue side of the moon with aventurine dial. Absolutely stunning!

I had no idea these were 16mm+ thick! That really surprised me.
Its not a moonwatch, it closer to the planet ocean in size

It doesn’t wear like one. Trust me on that…
This is a gorgeous watch. I love the Bi-Compax look, with a date.
Benefit of the chronograph hours/minutes on the same sub-dial is I use it to track GMT time.
How? Do you start the chrono when its 12 in the other time zone?
I have to say that NKUWAN 's watches is amazing!
Just placed my pre-order with Exquisite Timepieces! The anticipation is real!!!!!!!!!
How is it going so far?
I once owned this and the Apollo 8. Sold them both because it looked too big. Now after watching this video, I have some regrets selling them, and will start hunting again.....
Thanks for the review Teddy, great watch in deed!
I own this time piece. Absolutely astonishing.

If I were to buy one of those I’d get a Pitch Black. I love the lume on everything.

I wish they would make a regular speemaster with applied indinces and a date.
Nice watch indeed. Thanks Teddy!

3:54 flaws on hour and minute hands.
scratch at 0:52 as well

Omega does make some nice watches and I own a seamaster. Unfortunately this is on the high side for me

The black is gorgeous, it's just bloody expensive and a bit big.
Love how it looks, but too big for my wrist 😕
That watch looks good!
Teddy!
It's a beautiful watch.
I'll take it.
Make sure it don't fall
It’s a superb watch. Was initially put off by the case dimensions but it wears much smaller than say a 42mm Rolex EXP2.
Yeah, but can’t ignore the 16 mm thickness 😢.
@@radidoc4832 agree it sounds very large but doesn’t wear very big imo. Probably something to do with it being black ceramic and the sapphire case back.
16mm is kind of a dealbreaker for me
Man I know it’s the dark side of the moon but would they ever make this in a white dial ?
Would love to see a Teddy’s review from an Omega Railmaster. Very underrated watch
I just came across this name "Teddy Bulbasaur" and life has not been the same 😂
It's nice to finally see a men's watch, that looks like a men's watch! Great size & great specs!
Let’s go! 🎉
They would shut the game down if they could figure out how to get this down to 42mm
Who needs rent money anyway, right?

Rolex produces 1.5 million pieces a year. They out produce all Swiss watch houses on pieces per year . There is no shortage, it’s all marketing.
That's a THIC boi. No thanks
Love this watch, but think it’s overpriced.
Ive owned a few Speedmasters and sold them all. Personally think it’s one of the most overrated watches on the market. Chrono is useless in the computer age. omega, which I LOVE, are becoming the masters of variations on a theme
I'd love one, but they depreciate like a brick off a cliff.
So if that's true, why not buy one used where the depreciation has already been accounted for?

16mm thickness and 44 diameter. No thanks
It's a brittle easily shattered case which makes no sense whatsoever. Ridiculous.
"Easily" is clearly a step too far, though

I do not think this is worth the money. I think 16mm thickness is bad. Hyped up.

Frankly water resistance of just 50m stinks for that much money and that much hype. Shame.
It isn't a dive watch.
Not sure if it is the camera or what, but the hands look so chewed up. No way this is real, right?
This isn’t the Speedmaster we were looking for….move along, move along.
The band is not remarkable.
Interesting all these watch guys are raving about this watch. Just left the omega boutique and it's not all that. It looks like a toy with no wrist presence. Not sure what you are all smoking...come on man!
Omega is the Bose of watches. Overpriced garbage.
Realy dont like black watch
