On my trip last weekend that was my favorite hole. It was windy and they were going crazy for hoppers lol. If you don’t believe me I was there I’ve got phot-evidence of that spot right at sunset. Man was it gorgeous
There's something special about trout I don't know what it is I think it's the most beautiful fish on the planet they seem to be a very unicorn like fish to me
@@FlyFishDan I know, my wife and I did get to go to Estes Park in Colorado and I did get to catch 2 trout on a dry fly one rainbow one brown and my wife caught one rainbow they all averaged about 8inch and I'll tell you what ,in the evening I saw dozens of heads bopping up for bugs and I had to change about 13 flies finally started taking, they seem to like the ant at that moment, lots of work but so rewarding beautiful scenery, I was using barbless I crushed my Barb so did end up losing a couple of them
Had my first experience like that on the Gunnison River earlier this year. Absolutely amazing
@@chandlerclements7316 one of my favorite things to see when fly fishing for sure!
Absolutely incredible!
I really need to get you into a couple of hike in lakes I know about. The most insane dry fly action
Absolutely! Going fishing and seeing them like that... It makes me keep seeing them when I close my eyes the night after.
Love that - what we all hope for when arriving our favorite spot!
Looking at this video at bedtime...hope it brings me delightful dreams of western trout water tonight!!!! Thank you, Dan.
My pleasure!
