Thanks for another great video and for all the great inspiration. I go to the Aquascape Academy later this month and You where one of the big inspirations in me to starting my Pond Company Thanks for everything you do. Keep UP the Great work!
All of the hard work that goes in behind the scenes to make these videos is really worth it when I hear stuff like this🙏🏻I will continue making content to teach and inspire-thanks again for the kind words🙏🏻
Thank you so much for that winter snapshot. Now I have hope for my own future feature. The ice buildup on the sculptures was GORGEOUS, the flames were OMG. You have a great educational vlog, thanks again.
Man, another incredible project completed by Modern Design Aquascaping. Great job explaining the process and showcasing an advanced fountain build. Keep it up man.
At 4:11 of the video you show rocks being installed between the liner and underlayment. Any reason why I cant put that rock between the aquablocks and the underlayment instead? Seems like that would be the only weak spot since underlayment is used to protect the liner everywhere else.
Sure you can. If the gravel is too small and round (no sharp edges) we often put between liner and underlay to keep it from falling into the blocks. If it is larger we typically put it in between the bloc and underlay. No rules other that protect the liner from damage as needed!
@Modern Design Aquascaping Inc. Well, it took me a couple weeks from start to finish but here's what I did at my house. Thank You so much for the tips as I incorporated several of them and this came out awesome. From someone that knows nothing about water features, plants, irrigation, I'm pretty happy.....ruclips.net/video/zeFFEtT_y_4/видео.html
Very informative and thanks looking forward to see how you install more luxury fountains with more accessories.what kind of tools do we need to do this kind of magic to be honest i have been scared to and looking for a way to install such, but your videos is giving me the courage to try something new.
A good set of cordless tools, some hole saw bits, the tools to install some low voltage lighting, and a ton of elbow grease! We use a transit to set grades, levels and screed boards to get the bottom perfect, every hand tool known to human-kind (shovels-rakes-etc). Plumbing tools for cutting/ gluing pipes. Silicone for sealing where necessary- and Obviously the heavy equipment. It’s hard work, but not rocket science, you can do it!
manwinder adhpal yes on check valves but no if you want to be able to tun on and off during cold! Feature took us a 40 hour week, I don’t have numbers on job because we were hired by another pond builder. I could give you more info. On materials and labor, reach out if you really wanna chat about it👍
We use a standard cordless drill with a hole saw bit I bought at Lowes. It is hard to get the hole started because the center bit that starts the hole (and stabilizes the big bit) isnt hitting anything because there is already a hole there. I started on an angle to get the hole going and then used that sise cut to help support the bit as I drilled. Also make sure the drill speed selection is on high. I didnt have any luck at slower speeds!
At what point would a person in Minnesota need to winterize this type of project and would you use antifreeze or something to keep it running during freeze times?
It would need to be fully winterized prior to your winters. There is a system for that, your installer or local professionals should have no problem telling you what the protocol is in your area.✌️
How many pumps did you use on this project? What size pumps?.....I just ordered almost thus exact set up for my house. 3 Spheres and one large urn. I ordered three 2000-4000 pumps. Med and small sphere will share one. Large sphere and urn will each get there own. But I'm really hoping to get about double what you got on this project. Yes I'm gonna drill them out and I ordered 1 1/4" PVC.
@@KoiAddiction Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I was incorrect, I actually ordered 1 1/2" PVC and fittings. pump wise it sounds like ill be OK. Just gonna have to see if I went big enough with the 1 1/2"......Im prepping for rocks now so this video has been great with ideas for my feature. And the video you did with the lights flickering through the fountain and on your house inspired me to do that as well....Im assuming that with the two pumps you used on this project they are turned all the way up yes? all 16000 is being used?......Im also going to use a float system on both of my features. I seen someone use a bucket with a PVC pipe ran to somewhere else in the basin/vault and putting the float in the bucket to keep turbulence down and float system accurate. I dont know that that is the best way to do it. Do you have any videos you can link me too that covers/touches on float systems? I haven't found any videos that talk about floats much, or videos that talk about basin size if a float system can be used. Which seems kind of odd as in my head I'm thinking basin could be much smaller, and costs/maintenance would be far less. But what seems logical in my trade usually isn't....lol

Thsnk you got this video I'm actually getting mine today🤗
Well it has been a year is the fountain done? I wanna see it- send me some pics ;)
Hey Jon great water feature quick question what size pumps did you use for this project ?
10000 gph is about the total flow, and it’s also how many days it took me to answer you😭😭😭
Two words for project OSM and curb appeal...👍
Two questions
1.did you put check valves after pumps?
2.How much does it cost , buddy?

Hello , I love your videos. Awesome job! I bought a drill and attachment to do the advance plumbing but it would not cut hole. Any recommendations

Hi john , a quick question do we need to winterize aqua. Spillway bowls where temp. Is -10 or 12max in snow or winter?? Thanks
It is definitely something I would recommend. Normally these should be drained out completely and wrapped up to protect them from freezing.
Thanks so much dear friend... you are really fast on replying to questions as well.... its osm... that's the difference. Thanks a lot
I love aquascape❤💙💖

We used 2 @ 4-8000 Aquasurge pumps and 2” plumbing!!
