I've had this for a while now and love it. Great deal for all the things that are in it.
Side note. Make sure that plastic cover for the ratchet is slid all the way up and clicked into place. A couple times I didn't click it in and the ratchet fell out. Luckily I didn't lose it.

I just got this kit today and made a small but very significant mod to it already.
I put a hole under the head of the ratchet so I can store it with the 1/4 inch adapter ready to go. To use a socket I don’t even need to open the main compartment.
This is how I went about it. With the ratchet in place I poked a hot straight pick tool down the middle of the ratchet hole. First just left a mark then checked for concentricity and adjusted before making a hole, then I proceeded to make the hole bigger with successively bigger drill bits but by heating the blunt end. I let it cool and removed some melted bits between each drill bit, ending in a 9mm hole that came out pretty neat.
The adapter lines up fair perfectly with the bit hole beneath it and I place the smallest Allen head bits in front of it. The main compartment closes properly and can be accessed without removing the ratchet. It basically looks factory, no one without the kit would even tell.

I love those. The first (of too many) Wera purchases. I needed some hex+ bits for a gazebo I was assembling from a kit (I stripped out a couple of the heads on the pan-head machine screws in the first twenty or thirty I drove, and then I switched, and drove over 1000 screws in a row without problems). Then I got the imperial set, some Allen wrenches, more bits and screwdrivers,..., and now I'm homeless, but with great tools.

I work on remote locations and have weight limits on what I can bring with me. This little set goes with me even it I have to stuff it in my pocket. I had to replace the plastic rivet with mini connector bolts. The little driver holder plastic rivet just would hold up, I had a mini connector bolt everything size set and a spot of lock tight.

I'm a field service engineer and bought this on a whim, I installed a CNC machine and this set did around 70% of the work. Crazy versatile set and amazing quality, genuinely recommend it to anybody. Only negative for me, albeit a tiny one, is the locking mechanism for the swing out section. Over time it wears away and becomes completely loose. No big deal but worth mentioning. Cheers

I generally like to compile my own bit sets because I hate what pretty much all companies do when they include both security and regular bits for torx and hex. It's a massive waste of space that could be filled with other bits when you could just include the security bits because they can be used with regular screws too.

I'd like to see their smaller bits in this pack since they're the best fitting precision bits I've used once you get into more standard sizes "cheapish" bits work/fit just as good they just break more often. But talking precision/small electronic bit sizes wera will always work/fit better then any Chinese garbage

Great tools. However I bought a similar set from Walmart just for the bits. It was $10 and it had every single bit you could imagine and all of the really small bits too. I needed it to fix an Xbox 360. Well it’s 15 years later and I carry that bad boy to every job I go on and it hasn’t failed me. It’s really well organized and I just use the bits and an adapter.

I hate that set because because you have to pick between Imperial and metric. If you buy both sets, then you end up with a bunch of duplicate bits and a lot of wasted storage space. I wish they would make that sit with Imperial and metric. It would be bigger, but not as big as two separate sets.

    • @221b-Maker-Street

90% of the world does not _want_ imperial, though. Why would we want our streamlined metric tools cluttered up with a measuring system we simply never use - many of us not since the *Age Of Enlightenment* in 1795!
It's literally is only made for the American market. I sometimes wonder if/when the USA will finally realise that it might possibly be time to join the Enlightenment...?!

These are great until after a while those bits get eaten up and are done for and now you have a set of with a bunch of missing tools.
Really just buy a small socket set at harbor freight and then buy a cheap bit set that has a case. I no longer buy any bit sets anymore because they are junk and a waste of my money. I just buy a 10 or 20 pack of the bits I need for my 1/4 impact. I have a set of special bits for the odds stuff. Star bits, square bits and allen bits all come standard with almost every set i have seen in the last 5 years. Also many kits come with stuff you will never use.
