  • Porridge is a simple, tasty and healthy breakfast dish, it gives you energy for the whole morning. Here's how to make it!
    I think porridge is called Oatmeal in America.
    I made this video while I was staying in Bulgaria but I'm British.

    I can tell you’re a hardworking man. Laziness would’ve compelled me to eat the porridge straight out of that red vessel, and there you are, transferring it into a nice bowl. ;-)

    Just spent 2 weeks in England. My friends made porridge every morning and I fell in LOVE with it! Sure beats American oatmeal! I'm craving it now so thanks for the vid!!

    nice, it reminds me of my childhood too, my step dad would make porridge with LOTS of rasberry jam so it went completely red and I loved it!

    Thank you for the recipe! Also, may I ask where are you from? I'm curious because I noticed that you are using bulgarian ingredients.

    You can leave out the milk & just use water, if you are worried about the fat content. I just stick it in the microwave for a few minutes, then stir it like a Ba%$T@r0.

    • @mozbozz
      @mozbozz  10 лет назад +10

      you can... but it doesn't taste as good or have as good consistency or texture.

      MauritzUK Totally agree, but I am currently on a health phase at the moment. Otherwise I would put a big dollop of Jam or Lenon Curd in it.

    nah porridge is just made of oats and there isn't much fat in oats, skimmed milk also takes the good parts of the milk out of it, I'd recommned sticking with full fat milk

    You should try it next time you make it with milk, cinnamon, sugar, Nutmeg, (grate the nutmeg with a grater of course) and with the dash of salt , and go easy on the Cinnamon, your not suppose to taste much or even know it's in there. in the end it should smell divine. I recommend having white bread on the side. It taste great when you dip the bread in it and eat. sorry i can't tell you the measurement, but when you make it as often as i do everything basically comes natural.

    Oh yeah,just so you know cause you sound uncertain, i do believe we call it "Oatmeal Porridge" in america Because there is other forms of porridges they make out here like Cornmeal Porridge (I don't like much) and i forgot the other one...

    ...and since they use cyrillic too, but I could be wrong they could import it from russia I guess..

    •  8 лет назад +1

      +cheshire cat No honey is a good as the one fresh in the comb and non processed. I tried it once when I was in nursery :-( It tasted like biscuit or many thin layers of toasts that crush in a good sticky mess. :-( If you cant get that don't bother. If i still remember it in detail, from when i was like 6, it must of been goo!
