I just started a routine to ghost 3x per week, (20 seconds on, 8 seconds rest repeating 25 times to simulate one game, goal to do 5 games worth). would you also recommend doing the bike 2-3 times a week? I'm 64, in pretty good shape and no injuries but want to play serious competitive masters squash
Totally. I have been doing a lot of work on the bike recently and experimenting with all kinds of different intervals. I really like 40 seconds rest with 20 second sprint.
As I lack fitness, I could use more of these exercises. Please could you make more of these videos?

I think biking will build stamina up pretty much at the same rate. But will be easier on the joints.
So, if i were 65, i’d stick to the bike :)
is jumping the rope a good alternative?
I am doing these intervals (rows, cyclings, hiits) and in less than 2 weeks already seeing changes haha
Intervals are great. I have been doing them for the last few months to get ready for this season!
@@ThePursuitofSquash But when you start doing this you don't warm up at all ?
Ive started doing this bike training and it works. My game has improved like crazy. Guys are asking me what steroids am i taking. Seriously
I just started doing sprints again on the bike for the last 4 months. I love and hate them haha.
thanks for the videos! what is ur name please , and what is your squash level?
Hm. Wonder if cycling on the road also helps
Absolutely

How old are you and when did you start squash?
Just turned 30 and started playing when I was 25 I believe.
