RIP Dave Hill. A very bright engineer. You will be missed.
Dave negotiates the nuance of a complicated subject...brilliantly done. RIP
I was most fortunate to have Dave as my early mentor. I kick myself having for
having sold off some of the custom line drivers, etc. that he built for my first
sound system!! And on top of his brilliance, he's also always been one of
the nicest guys you'd ever want to know, even when you have dumb questions!
Thanks Dave!

MAYBE YOU KNOW THIS:- If you find engaging HEAT shows some significant noise in meters (but you can't hear that and wondering why), especially obvious when a maximizing limiter is engaged : Then insert a sharp low cut filter @ 20Hz at the mixbus (or to any necessary individual channels). This cuts off the infrasonic noise HEAT causes, but not mutating the saturation of our audible range.
It's terrible how brilliant minds have to die. Mozart Bach and Dave Hill. I'm a classical musician but he's also a classic. May God have mercy on his eternal soul. Thanks Dave.
Killed it! You know what your talking about. I hate when someone does a video but you can tell they know little.
Thank you, Dave!
I like his studio animals 🐺🐯🐸🐻🐰
A wise guy!
guys awesome but i swear he aint got any trousers on!?!
Legend 🪦 ❤❤❤❤❤
I love that he's not wearing any pants.
For that you are in 'love' with him? (Seriously?? 😏)
came to say the same thing hahahahahah this man is the greatest
It just reminds how bad it is for music recording at this point. We're all about digital, digital, digital. And in the process were neglecting analog and all the benefits of it. We need to have more people like him teaching. I'm 16, and seriously considering going into audio production in college. And I want to learn about this just as much as how to use the latest version of Pro Tools and stuff like that.
Did you go to college?
lolololololol
I'm in college for it and they teach us to appreciate both analogue and digital. It's just choosing the tools for the job to be done.
@@itzdm0r3 dam u got scammed if you paid to go to college for that lol. I learned everything in a month for free by doing my own research (trial & error until you master it)
@@Kay_Locc I didn't pay the education but if I had to I would have. I got a lot value out of the program besides learning about recording engineering. To say it's a scam shows that you aren't thinking outside the box.
RIP Dave
When will we get an updated video detailing HEAT?
I'll second, third & forth harmonic that!!!!!!!!!
Thanx Dave,
Gregg I.
HEAT "2" 10 year update anytime soon? (:
We got the Crane Song Spider and also walking around.. without uhm airco mode. :-p
Heat is why protools stands out from other DAWS nice!
I think the Airwindows approach to it is nicer and much more powerful but it comes at it from Chris's unique perspective.
Please make Phoenix available as VST
