Nice Dave! You know what? The BE OD Overdrive saved my life. It´s been my main overdrive/distortion since I bought it here in Brazil. Actually, I use it on all the time, so it´s my tone right now and my God, I´ve never sound as good as now. After owning this pedal for 8 months I can honestly said it is the best plexi in a box pedal out there. In my opinion there's no better pedal in the market for the job. It has killed everything I have A/B compare with: Klons centaurs, Carl Martin plexi Tones, Tube Screamers etc. Works killer in fron of clean amps (6L6S) and it also rocks for boosting channels that are already with certain amount of gain. Way more transparent than any tube screamer out there of course.
I tried to fight my pedal addiction and lost. Just ordered the golden Pearl for my SB limited. And have the be od pedal. All great stuff Dave. Top notch best amps everrrr. If I had to do things over again I’d skip the other brand amid and only get a Friedman. And just keep a few lunchbox amps. No need for any other amps anymore but Friedman. That’s the truth. Tone chasing is over. I found the best.
Just ordered mine, cant wait to take it for a spin! I think it's going to do exactly what I do with my amplifier and pedalboard, pre-gain base tone, for a fat full cleanish/crunchy starting point tone.
John Cecilia and sell thought to get a Friedman that sounds better. Dave’s the one that worked on Marshall’s to make them sound better. At that time his name just wasn’t on it. Now they sound great.
i was waiting for a better version and more intricate Tube Screamer to come out. i knew it would eventually. I'm waiting for the Friedman Chorus Pedal. Lush.. watery.. more epic.
@@CBGypsy03 Yeah man it’s player dependent like with anything, but I would think that it would tighten up a heavy sound. This pedal has a nice clarity to it. I use it on a fender style amp to get more of a Marshall tone though but it’s definitely a pleasing sound to the ears. Responsive as well like a tube screamer but without that mid hump
I've been looking for a real transparent boost for my high gain amps. I'm tired of these OD pedals that just blanket over your sound and make every amp sound the same. I want to keep the character of my amp I'm playing through. I wonder if this would fit the bill?
Sweet! Question for Friedman or anyone else. Using the Runt 20 as an example, and you want to push the amp a little harder for a little more saturation, what is the difference between using the Golden Pearl OD and the Buxom Boost?
Id love to try it because I prefer to play with this level of drive, but it isn’t a criticism when I ask which overdrive pedals are not transparent? Does that just mean you are hearing the amp more than the pedal? I hear that from all the pedal builders, but if they are all extremely transparent now, is it a selling point? Just curious, but either way I look forward to trying this one, I am just now learning more about Friedman. Cheers
Redundant playing it through a Friedman amp. And feels like an upsell if you happen to have the amp. They sound great through other amps too on other videos though

I’ve spent over $9k on pedals trying to make my hot rod deluxe sound like a Marshall, maybe this is THE one!
You should try the synergy syn-1 with a Friedman module in the loop of your hot rod deluxe. It will turn your amp into a hotrodded marshall

FRIEDMAN, add more Asymmetrical soft clipping options and feed-forward options plus more mid boost mid shift controls to shift the mid freq.
