- On today’s episode of Homeworthy, we’re bringing you inside interior designer Cecilia Casagrande’s eclectic 1800’s Victorian home in Brookline, Massachusetts. A pattern mixologist, Cecilia has countered the extremes of mid-century modern style with moments of antiquity to create a refreshingly unapologetic take on interior design. Enjoy!

I just love this woman’s personality & style. This is what great interior design is all about… creating a home filled with sentimental items that reflect relationships with people we love. ❤
When I saw the thumbnail I said “this is gonna be a good one!” It did NOT disappoint! That bathroom is absolute magic!
I loved her comments about the relationship between social work and interior design. She’s so right - it’s all about drawing out the essence of how people want to be, how they want to live.
Wow! I‘m impressed. Her sense of aesthetics is so beautiful. Every room is a masterpiece.
I love her voice and thoughtful cadence --easy to listen to.
Beautiful home, I don’t see a designer home I see a home done by a mom, wife or/and a woman of a great taste. The best part is the kitchen.
I just checked out her portfolio and love her use of colors. She’s so talented!
Literally I died with the Christian Lacroix 3D fabric on the reupholstered sofa, amazing! The entire house is stunning. Love her impacable taste.
Yes! That Lacroix fabric is a show-stopper! Thought I was the only one who picked up on the 3D of the butterflies ... magic!
Thank you Agus for somehow reminded to me about the name of the fabric that I’ve been looking for for over 20 years that an old good friend gift to me a small piece for my old tiny chair. It’s called ( herbarium crepuscule fabric. Finally, I’ll be able to reupholster my old good couch. Thanks to you, to Mrs. Casa grande, and to Home worthy.
I am also taken by that fabric. What about the urban toile wallpaper at the entrance, … Anybody knows the name and the designer? 🙏✨
B E A U T I F U L!!!. This home is film production ready. I can see it. I think my best rooms were the blue living room, and the "hotel" bathroom. Plenty of designer ideas we can all accomplish. Thanks Home worthy.
Cecilia's style very much reminds me of how many British decorators furnish their homes. It's very eclectic, as she said herself, with lots of color and pattern. I love this way of creating warmth and personality in a home.
If I ever hired an interior designer, it would have to be this lady! This home is beyond stunning, and it doesn’t have an all-white kitchen-which I think is the best thing of all. Such a darling pooch, too!
Thank you so much Homeworthy! One thing you have taught me is that home is about making it your own. I love how people put trends to the side and doing it their way makes it truly unique and pleasurable. Another great tour. Keep up the good work!
Love, love, love the colour and the eclectic style. I have to say since I've started watching Homeworthy I'm getting bolder in my home, giving myself permission to lean more into my own instinctive likes and things that make my heart sing. I'm learning how to make it mix so it doesn't clash and compete but compliments and gives a lively, exciting tension. Cecilia's home sure does that! Thanks, Homeworthy!
Hello Cecilia, fabulous! interesting, real storytelling while sharing your home interior design. not too over done anywhere. Lux-comfort, inspiring living contained in a loved, functional life space. all of this is my kind of fabulous! thank you for sharing.
This woman is so warm, lovely, and gracious, I love her personality. He style is awesome!
What a beautiful home, so much personality and character, there’s more to see as you look more.
It’s the answer to these houses that the designer got it all in one store, which many times look like showrooms.
This is a beautiful home loved and well layered by the owner. She loves her home and that's what matters
Just a classy lady with a beautiful home. I loved the master bath the best. Also loved her dog and cat.
Your home is absolutely gorgeous. I love, love, love that beautiful green tile in the shower. The whole bathroom is exquisitely decorated. Your colour choices are just perfect.
Such a Fun tour! Thank You to Lovely host Cecilia for sharing her charming Victorian era home creatively designed/filled with Color,Pattern and Panache!!
I love this eclectic home! The wallpapers are amazing and Cecelia is definitely in her right element! It all just "works".
Greetings to you. I had to smile and laugh at the same time when I saw this video. EVERYTHING in it reminded me of me. Couldn't find anything I would change. You have my colors I love, eclectic in design, even the unvarnished brass. All so beautiful. I was so impressed I paused the video to take it all in several times. So from one person in another state who loves your style I must say this YOU ROCK!
The master bath is stunning. It's an absolute jewel.
I have to say this is in my top ten favorite tours.
I love color!!!
My favorite room was the kitchen and then the main bath . Beautiful colors used throughout the home and I loved the Parisian touches .
Loved this house tour that emphasizes a mix of time periods, I’ve done this all my married life but on a tight budget for most of it. I love that it gives a sense of things done over a longer time, a more collected feel. I had to watch the kitchen twice to realize how clean lined the cabinets are, which I prefer, much easier to wipe down. Her portfolio is amazing, click on each pic, there are many more behind.
Categorically one of the best homeworthy. Her style is amazing!
This was too fun. I am still drooling over that bathroom, so beautiful!
Definitely a perfectly curated home. I totally love how she blended the different eras of style.
Another Beautiful Home that is unique to the Homeowners!
I could just bring my suitcase and move in. This is my most favorite tour ever. 😍
So beautiful all of it. She’s so brave to pull all the different styles, textures, colors, and patterns, especially in a single room- the last showing.. the bathroom. It is so beautiful and interesting. Her style is definitely eclectic and maximalist.
This is without a doubt my very favorite episode of Homeworthy EVER!
Absolutely love the upstairs bathroom!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love everything about this style. It’s a pleasure to see dark wood antiques and color on the wall with all the interesting art. Everywhere I look there is something to enjoy.
What an exquisite home! I love how she paired her outfit to the colours of her house. When I saw her shoes I wondered if she'd have some animal print in the house then I spotted the tiger print footstool in front of the fireplace in the lounge. I can't get over how she mixes opposing pieces. True genius
Good observation. I didn’t notice that!
I just love her aesthetic. What a beautiful and warm home she's created.
LOVE HER DECOR STYLE; Her home is GORGEOUS
Gorgeous home full of wonderful treasures, nothing is boring. Great use of color. Although I love every room, your master bathroom completely captivated me-so exotic! Thx for sharing your amazing home.
I love your mix of color, texture, and pattern.
This is one of the best homes I've seen, top 5 for sure! I got so much inspiration from this episode, I can't wait to fix up my own home! The colors are so rich and beautiful, and the collection of antiques and art are amazing! This makes me want to go to school and study design. Great job! 👏👏💜
The Bathroom and the diningroom/kitchen, niiiiice❤
A true creative unique designer, this was so inspiring. Thank you so much for the tour.
All her backgrounds are used in her life now. So much a home. Thank you. Got the courage to carry out some ideas I had percolating around in my head for the place I am doing now.
as a fellow social worker and artists at heart, it was so cool to hear how you blend the two!
Kat thank you for what you do social workers put up with a lot of different people and personalities and don’t get enough credit for dealing with that my friend is a social worker and believe me you have to have a lot of patience 😊
That bathroom is 🔥🔥🔥!
Amazing, stylish, colorful and good balanced at decorations house. Lovely!💗
I love the mix of colors and patterns, a lot of it but it all goes well together ❤
Thank you for sharing; it is very beautiful, harmonious and definitly has Style. I never have the courage to use so many colours.
Awesome style and home! I love her voice, I could sit and listen to her all day, while she cooks❤❤
Absolutely love the mix of colors and patterns in this home!

Brookline is such a great place to live! Beautiful home that freshens a traditional property.
Wonderful house and beautifully decorated. That master bath is GORGEOUS!! 31:04
Cecelia saved the best for last…her bath is extraordinary. Such a talented colorist. ty
Your creative style has wonderful depth. As a lifelong design and art enthusiast, you are delightlfully interesting and provide a rarely seen but much appreciated point of view.
I love the art. Real art! I almost bought a canvas at Hobby Lobby the other day until I noticed there were 7 more in the display.
best show ever! I loved everything about this home - just beautiful.
That's one of my favorite homes shown in this channel. Really gorgeous.
Yes! Fashion is always so forward and ahead of the game I love it
Great to see a normal person featured. What an enchanting property. Mesmerising.
What a charming woman and lovely home. Thank you for sharing.
Boston, your my home!❤ born and raised in Massachusetts. 45 minutes away from Boston love everything about it. This is a spectacular home…the color, placement and fabrics..love Brimfield..
Her bueatiful soul shines throughout her casa. Well done and personal. I prefer one own style as apposed to copy cat trends that fade.
Love, love, love this channel, please when the host of the tour is mentioning a particular design detail have the camera person show that. This house has so much personality...love the mixing of styles and the colors she chooses!
That’s an amazing dresser in the bedroom! The open niches great idea.
She is so talented! I love her home!
Cecilia, your home is lovely and comfortable. A real sanctuary for your family and friends! Also, I love that you have the large “Some Like it Hot” framed photo in your dining room, as a nod to when you worked at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, where we met. I remembered liking you immediately! You were, and still are, so awesome!
She is one of my favorite interior designers. Bring on more modern Victorian whimsy! 🦋
Not afraid of color! Love it!
💯 💯 💯 ❤❤❤ TOTALLY LOVE Everything!!! The colors 💚🩷💙💛, every single choice and detail, are SUPERB! I love all the details that she gave!!! 🎉
This home is SO amazingly beautiful, I feel I could live there 😊
Absolutely beautiful!!!!! Full of taste!!!
I want that kitchen!! Just beautiful...makes my heart go pitter patter : )
This house makes me feel so happy!
Fabulous home. Especially like the living room.
This was a fascinating home to see - thanks a lot for sharing!
Oh my!! I have the same mirror you have over your living room fireplace over a beautiful bombe in my living room! My parents bought it in 1967 and it has moved through several houses since then. Would not part with it for love nor money!! Love your entry sofa (Louis XV style, adore the upholstery, the butterflies look 3D out from the white background in the close-up !) and oddly enough have a very similar one (shape/size/single seat cushion) in my living room. Love your blue living room sectional and wish I had room for it somewhere in my home. Always love a wallpaper mural so your master bath is a hit, and extra ❤❤❤ for having the window shade made to match! I could go on and on, so I'll just say thank you so much for this tour of your wonderful home!!
Vintage and modern shot through with fabulous colour combinations enhances not only the beauty and style of the home but sometimes it magically lifts life's dreary mundane existence
What an absolute treasure of a home
Cecilia, just Love your home!!! Every little space is so special! The kitchen is amazing and the boldness of your master bathroom is awesome!!! Congrats from São Paulo, Brazil!!!
Butterfly 🦋 sofa is everything.😊
Great inspiration! I’ve always loved Victorian architecture, but love modern/mid century design as well. This is gorgeous!
Love your colour and the different patterns you have used. It looks fantastic, love from Australia
This is really an extraordinary home. The colors, the art, the in your face wallpaper, I love everything about it. I must say tho that when I first caught a glimpse of the dining room wallpaper it gave me pause. Yet 😊when she described having 12 lively diners, I got it. It completely makes sense. All those intersections of conversation reflected. Genius. Just genius. And just when I thought there could be no more, we are invited into that bathroom. ‘Nuf said.
Thanks for sharing.
I live in MA and know your neighborhood and it's beauty. Your home is lovely and so interest and candy for the eyes!
Yes! That wallpaper! 🤩😊
Love,Love, Love your beautiful home. All the colour is perfect.
I absolutely loved the home tour! Such an incredible designer with exceptional taste! My favourite room is the master bath! Stunning to the eye but the sentimentality of each element of the design is what I love most!
Absolutely beautiful.
I think the Victorians would have wholeheartedly approved of her design style. It's the perfect combination of art and home.
Love it. Kitchen and master bath. And the mantis powder room wallpaper. Well done!!
Stylish, fun and fresh 💛
Sumptuous!
Such a beautiful home! I love it!
love the decor. great tour. and the colors. thank you.
Love Love Love this home and the designer. So interesting the mix of styles and the colours on the walls and wallpaper. I wish were I lived in Canada, we had more antique shops, but they have become unpopular here since the Covid closures, very sad. So nice to see this happy home. PS. Love her shoes too, the leopard. Fantastic wallpaper in her kitchen and love the idea of having beautiful light fixtures in the kitchen instead of pot lights.
One of my favorites
I love this home.
The bathroom it’s magical ,1000% me
Love everything about her home
