- We’re in Koh Phanang and this is island number 2 of our journey through the Gulf of Thailand. It’s part of an island cluster neighbouring with Koh Samui where we just came from in the last episode and Koh Tao, where we will be visiting next.
But let’s dive into Koh Phanang. We’ve done some research and found there’s great snorkelling sites to explore and a great foodie scene, especially for vegans! Two of our favourite things!

Oh & we should probably introduce ourselves...
We are Benny and Meeka, a travel couple from Australia who have been travelling on and off for 10 years and even lived in the UK from 2019 - 2021.
We are currently in SE Asia and are making our way back to the UK to reunite with our Mercedes Sprinter van we purchased before the world shut down and we left back to Aus.
About 4 months ago we decided to document our travels as we make our way across the globe, so join us for the ride.

Love it!! Before we got here to Koh Tao. We were in Koh Phangan, really enjoyed it. We didn’t experience the famous half or full moon party but we enjoyed all the adventures! 😁

We really wanted to go here! The weather just wasn’t on our side 😅 We will have to come back to the island one day, everyone says it’s brilliant! 🤗
@@bennyandmeeka hope you do get back there the bann manali resort is great place to stay classy huts pool beach front can hire motorcycle just outside of resort and great food court just 2mins away west side of island so quiet and the roof bar mentioned top rock bar is 10mins ride to the left aswell as the not as good but more famous Amsterdam roof bar good luck on your journey

We have seen a few wild empty beaches. If you go early in the morning or off the beaten track you will find some quiet spots 😍
