The NPC can only take 2 hits from the bokoblin before going down; it takes 4 hits for Link, with maxed out hearts and with an un-upgraded Hylian Set (total defense of 9) to get the Game Over screen/use a fairy. So Link IS at least tougher than the NPCs in that he can take two additional hits before he goes down

Since Link and Zelda’s combined mass is about 5 kg, we can use the same acceleration calculation (73 m/s × 2 frames ÷ 30 frames/s ≈ 1100 m/s²) and get 5 kg × 1100 m/s = 5500 N of force, or 2750 N per skull. We can also consider it in terms of g-forces by dividing acceleration due to gravity. On earth, this is about 110 G (≈ 1100 m/s² ÷ 9.8 m/s²), and on Hyrule is about 39 G (≈ 1100 m/s² ÷ 28 m/s²). 39 Gs is MAYBE survivable (see “All About G Forces”, by Peter Tyson on PBS’s NOVA’s website), though this was transverse (i.e., front to back) acceleration with load distributed over a large area. But, considering that Link can quite easily walk off being hit by a massive club when he has a max of 3 hearts, I'd say Hylians are considerably more durable than humans. And, once Link is blessed by the Goddess specifically to be more durable, if he were to take the full force on one foot, assuming he has the maximum health possible, he'd probably walk away with little more than a sprained ankle. That is, if you choose to believe that the health canisters represent how much of a beating he can take before the damage becomes fatal rather than them representing food saturation. Now, I know what most of you are thinking: "Why would the heath canisters represent food saturation?". Well, that'd be because eating instantly regenerates your health, thus making it reasonable to assume that health canisters have little to do with actual health.
There are a few factors not really talked about, the first, you touched on, that being, Hyrule has much higher air density, meaning that there is likely a smaller difference between the density of air and the density of water in Hyrule, which would make sense given the fact that water always absorbs 100% of the fall damage in every Zelda game no matter how far the drop, there simply isn't enough of a pressure difference to maintain the level of surface tension you would expect on earth. Also note, the fact that the paraglider is capable of functioning testifies further to this, as it physically should not be capable of reducing fall speed to the extent that it does if real world physics were at play. That doesn't even get into possible differences in the density of the water (which is likely less dense than real world water, but that would have to be calculated by someone who knows what they are doing). The last factor is apples, you assume the weight of apples to be similar to the weight of real world apples of similar size and thereby weigh Link to be very light, however given the fact he literally never breaks a bone despite many impacts and injuries that should be able to annihilate real world humans of similar size, I think it is more plausible to think that it is actually apples which are ultra dense, consider the fact that food heals wounds instantly, the type of metabolism that it would take to use calories that efficiently would require insane amounts nutrients, despite this, Link never really gets "hungry" in any real sense, the conclusion then is that the fruit of Hyrule is likely very dense, muscle, bone mass, etc. must be very sturdy, because seriously, Link gets hit by things which cause explosions, never breaks a bone, never gets permanent scarring, the arm damage is only caused due to Ganondorf using console commands to reduce durability on reality itself. Now, of course, the trouble with trying to calculate things in this way is that the incredibly convoluted manner in which the physics have been slapped together leaves no reliable metric for convert data with, apple density is unknown, the weight of people is only known based on the theoretical weight of a similar looking fruit of our world, which clearly does not line up, gravity and air pressure oppose each other in unknowable ways, to calculate gravity, you would have to find the smallest but also heaviest object possible, and hope that it gives a terminal velocity that overcomes the air pressure. But, even once that's fully established, the fact that nothing seems to weigh what it does in the real world means that there is likely no way of converting measurements, you can measure in Hylian apples, it just needs to be noted that we have no idea how much Hylian apples actually weigh, so the physics may only be studied from the relative perspective of those within Hyrule...
If Hylan skulls broke that easily, he’d be instantly dead every time he’s hit by a monster. You also have to remember he’s able to magically reinforce himself with all those heart containers.

Why did you put the apple weight into kg (units of mass) and then convert that to mass again as if you were using force units? It was 2.5 kg of mass, not 2.5 newtons of weight. If the gravitational force on Link is equal to the combined gravitational force on the apples from the same gravitational field, Link's mass should be equal to the combined mass of the apples, which, assuming they are near identical in mass to average real world apples, should be 2.5kg. Edit: I think another commenter already pointed this out Also, minor nitpick, but at 2:07, couldn't you have used d = 1/2at^2 + vt + d0, where d is the final position, d0 is the starting position, a is the acceleration, v is initial velocity, and t is time? We have the difference in distance between the starting and final positions, so we can set d to 0 and d0 to be the starting height above the water. Link is not given any initial downward velocity when he starts his fall at d0, so the vt term is equal to 0. The acceleration due to gravity is a. Therefore 1/2at^2 + d0 = 0, 1/2at^2 = -d0, -2*d0/t^2 = a. The instantaneous velocity method only approximates his acceleration, but it's still a pretty accurate method considering how close the number was to the reddit post so I'm just nitpicking on this one lol. for the sake of a dumb argument, you can also probably consider 3 hearts to be standard human "durability" Link has to gain at least one to pass the starting gate, if hearts represent how difficult a person is to destroy then link is at least 1/3 generally tougher than a standard human/hylian through magic upgrade, and I think we can assume Zelda as a sage to be enhanced as well since they can all fight along side link. Dont take me to serious here just thought Id throw it out for fun

A simpler angle to come at this from could be that Hyrule water is softer, even compressible. This would mean that water in this world can absorb far more energy on impact than in the real world. Of course nevermind that Link has far since gone into the realm of superhuman.

Yea that is possible. Since there’s no real way to convert anything from hyrule to real life I chose to use apples as the conversion with apples being equal to earth. I figured that made the most sense because saying link is the weight of a male isn’t fair since he’s short and he’s hylian not human. But apples on hyrule look exactly like apples on earth and are easy to use as a baseline

A simpler angle to come at this from could be that Hyrule water is softer, even compressible. This would mean that water in this world can absorb far more energy on impact than in the real world.

Yea that is possible. Since there’s no real way to convert anything from hyrule to real life I chose to use apples as the conversion with apples being equal to earth. I figured that made the most sense because saying link is the weight of a male isn’t fair since he’s short and he’s hylian not human. But apples on hyrule look exactly like apples on earth and are easy to use as a baseline
