What he didn't mention was if you are using a light arrow on you're crossbow with out limb dampeners and string silencer's it's going too damage the limbs first they are going too crack and then split and explode so i use heavy ones that's as close too 500grains with a 30 grain nock and a 125 grain field tip or broadhead and I've had no problems with it and carbon express piledriver are good for this with Lighted nocks
How much is to light I shoot 20 inch and 22 inch carbon bolts only all the bolts weigh between 300 to 353 grains each without 125 grain bullet tips inserted yet I'm shooting a Stryker 380 crossbow

Whatever you use make sure they are all the same weight and make and all the vanes are straight and not bent for accuracy. And double check to make sure the nock is positioned where it should be to align with the crossbow string. I bought an arrow that wasn't aligned properly with the right color vane and when I shot it the string broke and the arrow didn't go anywhere. So don't just assume the nock was put on right at the factory . The machine makes mistakes and quality control must of been on smoke break?
can i shoot a 13.5" arrow from my jaguar crossbow? i know most people shoot 20" but 13.5" are alot smaller and cheaper and the shipping on them is very cheap too
Hello a watch your video from Mexico my English is not good and I don't understand all you say, i have the ripper killer instinct 415 and im preparing to go to hunt a deer this year I'm between the Barnett headhunter carbon arrows and the easton magnum i used an scale and the carbon weight is 450 grains with a replaceable blade fixed, and the magnum is 500 grains with the same broadhead im thinking to put my blindspot to 50 yards aprox, please give me a hand to do the best choice👏👏 and I apologized for my bad english 😔

Im getting aluminum wicked ridge because i had carbon bolts blow up in my face because i did not see the damage on it , this season 2021 2022 i also had a knock blow up and cost me a deer ,I'm going back to all aluminum
@@patriciamesserschmidt166 That's really odd. I've been hunting with carbon arrows exclusively for 7 or 8 years now, and while i've shattered them on missed shots, I've never had one just blow up.
Quality matters. Brand, in my opinion, does not matter EXCEPT for that some brands have a reputation for quality and some don't. You will not be getting much quality assurance from the cheapest stuff that you can find on eBay.

Very informative! Thank you!
How do I know what length and weight arrows/bolts to use for a cross bow?
It’ll usually in the description of the product. If it doesn’t give you a weight in the description, it’s probably not worth buying.

also ...... lighter arrows can crack bow limbs faster than heavier arrows .

When did crossbows switch to
Shooting arrows? Historically all
Crossbows have shot bolts.

I’d shoot the heaviest f’n bolt they make. Lighter arrows blow up crossbows. You’ve been warned.

That doesn't sound like a carbon vs aluminum problem. That sounds more like a spline choice issue.
Were those the cheapo Walmart carbon fiber arrows?
