  • Sleds are one of the most versatile training tools around! Sleds can be used for conditioning, fat loss, and muscle and strength building. This super simple piece of equipment will put your body and mind to the test!
Tire leds can be pushed, pulled, and dragged a ton of different ways, and the tore itself is useful for lots of additional killer exercises!
Sleds also involve no eccentric portion of the movements - there is no lowering of the weight/ negative portion. This causes less muscle damage and soreness meaning this low impact training implement can be used regularly and will not impede recovery.
Here are 35 of the best exercises you can do with a tire sled! Please like, comment, and subscribe if you enjoyed the video.
Instructions to build your tire sled:
-source or borrow a cordless drill and a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" hole saw bit
-source a 30 foot length of rope from a hardware / building supply store. I recommend the softer braided nylon rope that is about 3/4" diameter, it's easy on the hands.
-source some duct tape or gorilla tape
-source a larger truck tire - free from any autobody shop or tire shop, most have a stack out back awaiting disposal... ask before you grab one though!
    1. Drill a hole through the centre of the tire, wear safety glasses and be careful because the bit might catch in the steel radial and suddenly twist the drill - have a firm grip.
    2. Fold the rope in half and feed the looped end through the tire hole using a flat head screwdriver to ram it through.
    3. Pull about a foot of rope through and then tie a knot. This knot will not be able to be pulled back through the small drilled hole.
    4. Create your handles by making knots in each end of the rope, then folding the rope ends back on themselves a bit. Wrap tape around the rope above the knot.
    5. Kick ass with your awesome new tire sled.

Great video, lots of inspiring ideas and I like the "drill a bigger hole, run the rope through and tie a knot" idea, not that an eye-hook bolt is terribly expensive but why waste money whne you don't have to?
