Thank you, for this critical historical narrative. Life is full of surprises. A 100% genuine human being is granted with top most political power which he never desired for. He was dragged into politics and power game which he never wanted finally turned out to be a disaster. But even then he was the best administrator and the irony is that he became the hope and inspiration of Indian youth, by laying the foundation of modern India. But he disliked South Indians and the Sikh (May be since the assassination of Indira Gandhi). Anti-Sikh riots happened with his silent approval.
As I can remember, he didn't have any ill feeling towards South Indians....
Riots especially communal riots are Born with every Indians from tume immemorial

Rajiv is remembered by me for RTI act, consumer protection, communication policies, etc etc. His main failure as per me is implementation of panchayati Raj which is an unwanted item atleast in Kerala. His black mark is his efforts to protect those involved in Bofors. He promoted vp Singh who turned out to be a useless pm , loosing some valuable years of India towards progress.
Correct, Also he faltered in his Srilankan policy and the Shabaanu case, Ayodhya issue....
