A most enjoyable video at a measured pace. Just up my street! Cracking images to boot. Thanks.

A very informative film, I really enjoy Fay's work and you have done a good job of capturing her style and context. And only having 1 day to do it!!

Thanks for your support. With modern digital cameras you can quickly appreciate what a scene will look like in monochrome, Fay Godwin's images always seem something special.

Really nice. I enjoyed it very much. I do take landscape photographs, and I have always admired the work of the late Faye Godwin. I live in the Manchester area some 3 miles away from the airport. For years I enjoyed the lazy sunday drive past the airport looking into the vast green pastures that surrounded the Manchester Airport. Some years ago, the plans for the expansion of the Manchester airport and the development of the surrounding areas were approved by the City council who have a large share in Manchester Airport., and during the next two years all the green land disappeared and was replaced with, car parks, runway, tramline, lighting, traffic and so on. To top it all, permission were given to Amazon to build a huge ' fulfilment center ' and other similar big business. You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried. The beautiful green lands are now just home to concrete buildings and car parks and thousands of extra lorries, trucks, vans and cars that have carry the goods and the workers there and back. It is a mess to say the least. Fulfilment center they call it. Thank you for taking the trouble of making this lovely video. I feel that we need a lot more like Faye Godwin and Ansel Adams now, if our natural environment is to survive.

You'll have to view the other 'bite-sized' videos, unless you're up for the 'feature length' video on graveyards and cemeteries!

The 'wiggles' of the canal are the whole point of it!.... it was defensive, a little research would have told you that it was designed with higher banks on the landward side for the defenders to shoot down on the invaders and with 'wiggles' so the defenders could shoot along it.
