    Hearing what she says reveals the beauty of the person, not the beauty of a body.

    • @JaneThatcher89
      @JaneThatcher89 10 месяцев назад +10

      She is gorgeous, and intelligent… but what if she was the same beautiful person without the body and face, wouldn’t most men no longer be interested…? That’s the pattern I’ve seen. High quality girls are overlooked and men go for the pretty but brainless girls instead which is odd. Not here to criticize men, I understand that they’re visually wired. However, I see many beautiful women in my life who have a hard time committing, because the message from men is that their worth and value lies within their physical/external beauty… but all of that fades.
      When that fades away for me, I want to still be just as loved simply for being me. I wish that I could be enough, even after looks fade. Instead of it being received as a compliment now, when my so-called “beauty” is mentioned by men, it instills a great deal of fear instead… because it’s the one thing about me that’s complimented the most BUT it’s literally the one thing about me that won’t last! What about my humor/being a jokester, fun-loving heart, adventurous spirit, my care, nurturing personality, interests, creativity, love for people, etc…. I’m not saying I’m amazing, but is all of that nothing without a “pretty face?”
      I noticed I feel a confidence boost when women compliment me, but I feel insecure when men compliment me. Why? Because women compliment my character, my attitude, my positivity, and what I get most often is that I’m “so sweet” and caring. Men, however, simply compliment my external “beauty”…. which will be long gone in a couple decades. 😂!!! That’s NOT ME!! That’s just my shell that contains ME. I know they mean well when they compliment women’s looks, but for me at least, their intention backfires badly. It breeds insecurity, knowing that in the eyes of men, my ULTIMATE worth is always going to be how attractive my face and body are.
      It’s part of life to age. It seems like a man won’t stay in love once a girl’s external beauty fades. I know some of the BEST, most attractive, sweetest, “hot” women and they all got cheated on after getting “old,” like over 30, or after having babies. I know it’s not all men. There are still good men out there.
      As I write this, I am becoming aware that perhaps this is me searching for hope. I didn’t expect to brain splat such a long comment. Maybe I’m subconsciously looking for a little hope in this thread, to see men who are capable of loving beyond the superficial. A man who is faithful and devoted, and honors me as I honor him, who cherishes every ounce of love I pour into him… a safe place where my love won’t be wasted… a man who won’t have a wandering eye and wandering heart as I age… soon I will be older and not able to compete with all the girls in their 20’s anymore.
      Will someone love me, and be enamored with only me still, as the younger girls walk by, flaunting their bodies, tempting him to stray from me (even if not physically, but emotional cheating hurts much worse)…. As we sit on a park bench together in our older years, as I tend to you and taking care of the children, as I’m messy, stressed, and at my worst? Will you not seek out other women who are now younger and more attractive than me?
      I’ve also been the target of married men who have such amazing wives but yet they were seeking me out sexually/romantically. One guy straight out told me “I want a wife AND a mistress.” THAT is NOT a compliment to be pursued by married men. All it does is reinforce the fear of “that wife will be ME one day; the same thing is bound to happen to me and it’s the cycle of life through the ages.” It seems to be what most men do, and I don’t understand the over-valuing looks. Again, I believe there are absolutely gems of men out there. I just know what I’ve seen in about 95% of the men I know… cheating, porn, divorce, emotional barriers, abandonment, desire goes down etc.
      I don’t want a man disgusted by me after having his children, as I change and get older. What I’ve seen is just confusing, saddening and discouraging… it seems I won’t be able to keep someone in love with me after my looks fade. Such vanity. I can’t stand the way looks have been hyper-worshipped in our culture… as well as the brainwashing through media and TV etc, communicating that cheating is SO natural/normal/not a big deal…. High value on my looks my entire life has bred insecurity… that’s the natural by product because the message within that is that physically attractive = worthy of love, and when that’s gone, I’ll be thrown away.
      I can’t blame men for how they’re super visually wired, and I am aware that maybe I don’t fully understand their minds. It’s like we are completely different creatures, regardless of whether we are all “human” in the flesh. I would love to understand more. What happens if I trip and fall into boiling grease, and my face is mutilated? Would I not be abandoned so fast, cheated on and left alone with my heart shattered…? I’m also a hopeless romantic who wants to believe so badly in a life-long love. I give myself whole-heartedly when I love. So these parts of me are always at war with each other! Anyway thanks to anyone who actually reads this stream of consciousness extra long rambling!

      For that matter being intelligent, beautiful, and reasonable doesn't even make a person certainly likeable or a good partner. People can be liars or narcissists, have various addictions and/or proclivities for addictions, could have anger issues, disabilities, reproductive issues, etc.. None of those are necessarily no-go traits for someone, but they can be for many people, and multiple of them could probably total to no-go for nearly everyone.

      Nice: pleasant; agreeable.

      @MissTaelus 11 месяцев назад +65

      @@ryanwilhite no, the difference is subtle but important. "Nice" involves agreeablity which requires that the person being described is ready to submit to others. Kind just means that you are sympathetic and helpful, but not automatically submitting to the whims of others.

    • @ryanwilhite
      @ryanwilhite 11 месяцев назад +5

      @@MissTaelus There are instances where agreeability wouldn't infer niceness. For instance, letting someone put themselves into a dangerous situation, which you knew was preventable beforehand. You could agree with someone who says they are worthless and should end their own life. That isn't nice. Also, on a related note, are you familiar with the concept of malicious compliance? It is when you would agree to do something, even though you have the knowledge beforehand that the desired outcome would not be achieved by following through with said order or request. Not to mention, "willing to agree to something" is not the only definition of agreeable. Considering all of this, it's more likely they were referring to the "enjoyable and pleasurable; pleasant" definition of agreeable.

      @@matthewdennis1739The problem is that too many kids come from homes where they'll never get the opportunity to learn these values, so somewhere besides the home has to offer an alternative way of introducing and reinforcing good values.
      Equally, there's a whole lot of people in this world who aren't academically inclined, and schools need to be offering them something besides a place for them to constantly fail until they leave as adults with not only sub par academic achievements, but no discernable life skills or useful values.

      @@lollylou22 Agreed on offering more trade skill opportunities. Also agreed on a basic level the school needs to provide basic values for those who don't have parents teaching them at home, but that's just a band aid. We need to address the issue at its root.

      @@matthewdennis1739There is nothing wrong with both. In fact, even when you’re not actively being taught values, you should be learning them based on the experiences you have with all sorts of different people. My parents are wonderful, but I’ve learned much more about life outside of my parents rearing. It is entirely up to you after a certain point to learn what your values are and every experience plays into that.

      This, along with her other attributes, raises her pretty much to level of an angel on earth 😊

    This is 100% the best, honest & understanding answer I have ever heard on these shorts. As long as anotger guy isn't filling the positions as "Confidant" that she spoke about when saying she didn't expect every socialideaology to be filled by one person isn't another Male (Personally, I wouldn't want her confidant to be another straight male... That puts the guy in a position where if he does have a crush & is lying to her ((100% would be the only reason for a straight guy to be friends with a married woman.)) he would constantly be hearing about any private problems you & your wife would be going through & trying to manipulate to sitution to end up driving a wedge between the married coupke & painting himself as a knight in shining armor.)
    I would have no problems with her having all the homosexual guy friends... they don't bother me or give me that "in the wings, waiting" vibe that any straight guy friends do.
