Man, this is so painful to watch. My mom had breast cancer, and her husband would beat her with a pool stick because she was too tired to cook or clean. The guy saying to just endor has no idea how awful it is to be abused. Also, that was my mom's second marriage. Seeing my mom get abused by my step dad, me being abused by my step dad did more damage to my mental state than my mom divorcing my dad.

I was just picturing the hundreds of examples I can just think of off the top of my head of wives who stabbed their husband's in their sleep (where the husband survived, luckily), or she decided to cut off their testicles/penis in their sleep.
Being married means that spouse can now visit you in the hospital at anytime and has the legal right to do so for the rest of your life. This isn't even including all the assets and property they recieve after your passing as well. So if they ever get out they have full legal right to come live with you again or to stalk you.
This isn't even including that if you do seperate, you would no longer be allowed to get married again, this abuse would loom over you forever, regardless of you were married for 20 years or 2 months.
This silly man is literally asking to be murdered by his wife like it's the early 1900's when she no longer wants to be married, because that would literally be the only legal way to end the marriage and have full legal autonomy.
Been there, had that happen to me as well. My ex-wife texted me "I will end you", which was barely acknowledged in the divorce proceedings. Had I sent the same message I'd probably still be in prison, simply because I'm a man.

You are correct. I've been abused in a few relationships, and I know other women and men who have been abused by their former partners as well. Men like these want to change divorce laws to make it so you need a "reason" for a divorce. This is scary because as these guys themselves say, they're essentially saying that there is no reason for a divorce except for the woman cheating.

Domestic abuse is higher than these guys think, it’s not always talked about openly that their spouse is abusing them. I once stayed in a domestic abuse shelter and the amount of people going in and out opened my eyes to how much abuse is really going on. These guys need to get a reality check.

I believe that some of them are abusive themselves. Why else would anyone encourage a person to endure abuse for the sake of a “relationship” but understand the concept that they wouldn’t let their daughters experience the same abuse. Though, when someone comes on with their head screwed on right, it revealed their pseudo intellectualism. It's pseudo because of their inability to Understand what the other guy was saying just because he has blue hair and more liberal than them.

I 'endured' in an abusive relationship for years, and my first wake-up call was my best friend. He just silently linked me an article on "how to tell if youre in an abusive relationship". My nurse practitioner gave me a pamphlet of resources for people in abusive relationships. No one judged me, no one argued with me about my experiences because they knew I would have every excuse on why it wasn't true. I was given resources and the idea that I *could* leave if I wanted to... and that's how I was able to leave. If I heard this stupid fucking podcast while I was in my relationship, it would have made it even harder to leave.
In essence: these guys can go to hell.

My father beat my mom and my mom went to our family pastor with the bruises on her. (This was back in the late 80s/early 90s).
The pastor encouraged my mother to take my brothers and I and LEAVE.
My father hadn't been going to church.

As a SURVIVOR myself, this whole podcast infuriates me. I still remember the last time, as I lay at the bottom of the stairs (after he dragged me down by my throat on my back) and he climbed on me, he wrapped his one hand around my throat again as he held the scalpel in the other hand; I knew that that would be the end... I had very little fight in me anymore after hours of trying to leave. BY THE GRACE OF GOD, a friend happened to stop by, which saved my life! Due to this happening at the beginning of COVID, and his ability to get continuance after continuance, he never spent a night in jail! He got 3 mths house arrest, 1 mth curfew, and 18 mths probation. _My heart breaks for the next girl he meets!_ I wish I had some way to warn them, because I wasn't the first, nor will I be the last! 😢

not to defend them, but the majority of men on these type of podcasts have made it in life, they don't need to care anymore, they can get women left right and center.
it's generally the women not understanding how men think, then gets offended when a man tells them how men think of a woman sleeping with for example 50 people.
the same for the other podcast (can't remember the name) generally sort of succesful men and women, but the difference is that the men that sit there have their wealth from hard work and will continue that wealth, while the others are gold diggers/only fans whores.

My aunt was abused by her husband for 20+ years. He was a ' good man ' but the second they got married he changed, according to her. She stayed for the kids so they don't get affected by a ' broken family '. The man started to beat up his 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl and lasted till they stood up to him when the youngest was 17 years old. He doesn't beat them anymore, but he was and still is a serial cheater, a mentally abusive piece of shit. He has multiple gfs and all of my family knows about it.
Was my aunt right about staying for the kids? Absolutely fucking not. They're all way more fucked up now than they would be if she left. To this day, they're all in their late 20s to mid 30s, they're deathly afraid of him and hate him from the bottom of their hearts.
My aunt ' endured ' and it was catastrophic for her and the developement of her 3 children.

As a person who had a mother in a Physically Abusive relationship, I absolutely believe you should leave the relationship and get the divorce. Because (unsure if this is how it is for others) people who defend themselves in abusive relationships often go to prison.
Physical Abuse and Cheating isn’t okay, neither are socially acceptable. But Physical Abuse is much much worse. It’s the fact they said Cheating is when you can leave but not Physical Abuse.
To the women watching this, please don't think all men are like this. They are the minority in this way of thinking. I am as shocked as you hearing these words coming out of their mouths

Funny thing is before this podcast, whatever was a prank channel. Ik cuz I watched the guy on the left (Brian) do pranks and social experiments when I was in high school. Seeing all these pranksters nowadays and the directions their lives have all taken like whatever, fouseyTUBE, VitalyZDTV, Jack Denmo, Sam Pepper, etc. just shows that they r only in it for the money and will do whatever it takes to get clout and attention and have zero moral compass. That is y they resort to the future bs ventures that they get themselves into tbh cuz they’re profitable and they all have zero moral compass.

The argument that "getting right with God" as the end all be all for serious questions is such horseshit. As a Christian im disgusted by guys who deny reality while pretending to be holier than thou with this ridiculous notion that God wants people to suffer just because itll make them better people. God doesnt want you to suffer, he wants you to find help, leave bad situations, and then help.others see that they dont have to stay in situations where theyre getting abused and that its better to move on with a healthier life.

I'm an atheist and at one point In my I actually respected all religions but as of right now i just don't. I think religion is really harmful. You can say that you want to have it your way, but I feel like there's a reason why religion needs to be banned and it needs to just fade away. If people just had their own minds of thinking with our religion, we wouldn't have this problem.

I was looking for someone who addressed the pickelhaube. I haven't seen this podcast, nor do I want to, but I have seen the Hearts of Iron 4 and Alternate History communities. People wearing pickelhaubes is very rarely a good sign. She is probably a Kaiserboo.

These "men" showing their true colors when they first start ranting about how abuse shouldn't be an excuse for divorce, and if you're being abused, you shouldn't be acting like a p**sy. But the second she asks about the woman cheating on the man, they go like: "HE SHOULD LEAVE HER!"

Chase legitimately Didn’t say that. August took a lot of liberties here and took almost every person out of context and bashed them because He doesnt want anything to do with conservative values.
The people on the right side of the table were trying to say traditional marriage is bad and polyamorous marriage is good because in a traditional marriage you could be abused among other things they tried to argue. Chase was arguing against those examples saying that the majority of the time, if done the recommended way, people shouldn’t have to go through those problems. He didn’t say that there is no possibility.
Also according to August’s statistical reference he would be absolutely correct because 1/7 or 1/9 vs 6/7 or 8/9.
As an atheist I can tell you this get away from religion. Don't let it take over your life. That's it. If you want to have a better life, just think for yourself Do something better than religion. Do yoga do something that's much better for your health? Religion is not the answer.

@@gabriel262Someone cheating does not mean they are poly. It just means they are a terrible person with terrible social skills. Many people can't afford poly relationships cuz its a really hard work and not suitable for many. But if it suits others, its okey.

I used to work in law enforcement. A) abuse is a lot more common than people think. B) in most cases, the spouse or bf/gf don't want to press charges, so a lot of cases do go underreported. C) most abusers don't show their "red flags" until after they have secured their significant other. Usually marriage or pregnancy will be the moment when the first signs of abuse rear their ugly head, so don't tell people "you should have seen the signs". In many cases, the person is a good person/good actor until they know the other person "can't leave". D) children who experience or constantly see abuse are more likely to struggle in school, join gangs, and be in abusive relationships themselves--much more so than children of divorce. So the whole "divorce ruins kids" always seem to leave out the stats that children in abusive households do far worse.
Additionally, as someone who was raised Catholic, you CAN get an annulment in cases of physical abuse and consistent infidelity. Many churches will even offer shelter and legal advice for people who are in danger. So, religion isn't an excuse either. If there is violence: you need to leave.
I want to see your stats of most abusers don't show their true colors until marriage. Unfortunately some people do see the red flags early but choose to ignore them. So some people are at fault for staying in toxic relationships when they can just leave. Is it possible that some abusers play the long game? Yes but the partner always has the option to get help. But again, I understand mental health can play a factor in them not getting help. So this is a complex topic with many layers to it.

That makes no sense. It's the fault of the abuser. It's logical to think an abusive person would pretend to be a nice, respectful partner before they get confident that they're not going to loose their partner if they show some of their abusive side.
We all always pretend to be nice even when we want to make friends. It's not a far-fetched logic even for someone who has never witnessed abuse in their lifetime.
Also, help is NOT ALWAYS available, walking out simply is ALWAYS easy to say but very difficult unless they have an option. These "Always an option" is the biggest lie that one can possibly tell. Physical abuse also comes with emotional abuse, negative beliefs about themselves in a victim, no financial help or physical security, shame by society and family and so on. They all ensure that victim stays in toxic relationship/marriage. Talking about an option as if they somehow prove the point of OP about "abuser dupes victim" wrong and for the sake of blaming victim is crazy.
If that dude that was doubling down on abuse is married, poor woman.

My grandmother is a hardcore Catholic. Her first husband beat her so badly, she's deaf in one year. The church annulled the marriage. She was able to marry her second husband in church. So using the Catholic argument is not valid.

As a mom I try to make sure my teenagers are aware like you clearly are; but some of the other humans in the world make me fearful of the outcome of society. This podcast isn’t insanity tho. They make very good points and speak truth. Just because they said something wrong this time, doesn’t mean their podcast is bad because everyone has bad view’s sometimes (like august in this video.

Nah these guys are very very stupid. This idea to "Divorce isn't a thing" is so dumb. It happens, it sucks that it does but pretending it doesn't exist/ acting like women shouldn't be allowed to leave a relationship is just dangerous as fuck. I am almost 100% certain if one of these men was being treated like shit by a woman they'd certainly demand to leave. I also think if a woman was being abused physically and a child is around. They have every right to protect said child even more so if they're super apethetic to the child to.

These podcasts are extremely ridiculous and misogynistic. It always annoys me how every time the men talk, the women actually listen and bring up a counterargument. But when the women talk, the men are attacking the validity of her point and not responding to the point itself. And keep interrupting, laughing, and talking over her. Not to mention how every one of their opinions are in mens favor. Women are abused more often but should stay in abusive relationships. But if a woman cheats, which by all means is a form of abuse, the men should leave? Then saying people should adhere to their religous beleifs on divorce and not their own beleifs. I actually know a family where the husband was alcoholic and used to beat his wife and his kid. Fast forward 10 years, his wife is mentally unstable, son fell into wrong crowd and got addicted to drugs, and husband is realizing his mistake turning to turn his life around for his son. Abusive relationship are bad for your family. Leave if you can.

Actually divorce is better for the children, because as someone who has divorced parents who tried to make it work for me and my younger brother, I can tell you that it just added tension to the household and kids can feel that tension, I felt it and I was about 4 or 5, and it adds unnecessary stress to their lives. Thankfully my mom decided to divorce my birth father because it made everything less stressful for everyone.

My dad was an alcoholic and abuse my mom every single day. And my mom endured his abuse for years and it never stoped until he died by alcoholism 4 years ago. Now i am 24 years old and due to all those abuses i was never able to trust any man in my life other than my brother. I have never been in a relationship, never been on a date. I push ever man away any time they try to be close to me. I don't want to experience want my mom have experienced. Staying in an abusive family doesn't make healthy and happy children. I am broken from inside. I want companionship but can't trust anybody. And i think i will never be able to find a partner in my life.
