Thanks! I just got my machine from y'all last week and videos like this are one of the reasons I love Makers Leather. Today I'm practicing on scraps, tomorrow I'm practicing on scraps, the next day... who knows. I'm trying to make my mistakes on scraps. I am getting better, but I seem to spend more time watching videos to avoid mistakes than I do sewing to make those mistakes. :-) Thanks again. I look forward to the time when this all just makes sense.
I have to say after owning my Cobra Class 26 for the last 3-4 months, it is the greatest addition to my shop since fire and steel was invented. For 85% of what I do it will work just fine. Unfortunately, the two sides of the “hair on hide” fringy purse handles it won’t sew. For that 2” or so I have to hand stitch but I have had some amazing responses to the purse. Thanks Aaron for all you do!
Thanks for the tips Aaron!! The user guide for this machine shows a different bobbin/shuttle assembly and no longer relevant. I was stuck trying to figure out how to thread a new bobbin and this really helped! Cheers!
Aaron - it looks like you insert the bobbin with the thread coming off Clockwise (CW). I just watched Al Bane’s video and he demonstrates it as Counterclockwise (CCW). Al clarified this in a post last weekend. He wrote: “Think about it like this. The hook is rotating clockwise so if the bobbin is rotating clockwise also when you stop stitching the bobbin will overspin and bird's nest so, if you put it in the opposite direction it won't overspin. It works on all machines.” Seems that there are several vids out there with CW though so maybe you have just never had an issue?
I saw that post and totally agree with that concept. However, I've never once had an issue and a utility I do, I'm going to stick with how mine is set up. As far as stitch quality, it seems pretty ambidextrous.
Aaron, my wife and are trying to decide on a first machine. She is very experienced with regular and has run industrial machines and worked in industrial sewing. The only time I have used a sewing machine was in home ec. In 8th grade. Is this a machine that will allow me to learn and her to work? Also we have not been able to find the throat length and height?
@@makersleathersupply1220 Perfect, I appreciate your reply as I am just getting into leather work and so far have enjoyed your channel enough to sub! Now I need to get a class 26 I suppose
Excellent! Thanks for the step-by-step approach. I was overwhelmed till I watched this video. You ROCK!

Thanks for making this video and the assembly video of this machine
Thank you for making this video, you did a great job with the lighting and I appreciate it
Seriously, thank you so much for doing these videos!!

Thank you. This video was very helpful.
Great video! Thank you!

I might be over thinking the little red pin when threading but I can’t do it lol
Thank you for the informative video Q: can you do flat work on this machine too ? and can you use 277 # thread ?
You can indeed do flat work with the detachable worktop platform. The machine is rated up to size 207 thread.
Aaron, Al Bane’s video says the bobbin should be turning counter clock-wise.
Al Bane knows more about sewing machines than I ever will. That being said, I've run it both ways and have never found an issue with either.
You can run it clockwise but it is supposed to be counterclockwise.
I found I have less bobbin hands running it counter clockwise.
Is this machine a Juki LS341clone...? Also will sew 138 top and bottom...?
Yes it is and yes it will.

It has approximately a 9" depth and 6" height. And yes, it is a simple workhorse which is easy to learn and efficient to work with.
El tipo de comentario que se y puedo hacer yo que los videos que veo son de mi agrado no se hacer más comentario gracias
Los comentarios que hago no se hacerlo en inglés porque no se nada de inglés disculpe
What caliber is that rifle?
.308
Would you recommend this machine over the class 4?
As long as what you're sewing is less than a half inch, I definitelyrecommend it over the 4.
@@makersleathersupply1220 Sounds good, I am at a very tough choice as I would like to do slings, holsters, and belts mainly.
@@chrisfarley9213 nothing tough about that choice. Class 26 can easily handle all that.
