- This is our big 4. This is our best selling price range in the 6k to 7k range entry level commercial start up.
I have so many scratching their heads trying to figure out which one of these to buy. If I still had gravely the pro turn would be sitting here, the Spartan rt, kubota 125s, of course the walker 48 front mount for $5999 I have, and there are so many more good ones I could line up side by side like this and give positives and negatives of each.
What I forgot to mention is the 0% financing. On the hustler gh and Scag they pay for all of the fees except around 4% upfront for the 0%. On bad boy they don’t have any included so the 0% buy down is around the full 9% buy down upfront. That’s why the payments are so close to each other.

Badboy walkthrough review
Thank you so much for such an informative, well presented, and independent report on the mowers you spoke about.
Just purchased a new Scag Patriot a few weeks ago with the Kawasaki 691. Very impressed by the quality of this mower. I think everyone knows about the quality of cut as soon as you mention Scag. The first thing I noticed was after cutting, I’m big about cleaning the mower before storing. When I went to wash out the deck, I couldn’t believe but there was no place where grass collected. That’s a huge quality edge for me as I’ve always thought that wet grass would be the culprit to rust and early failure. Again, very impressed. There is a reason they have been successful for so many years.
I know this was recorded 2021, it was the best walk arounds and product knowledge I have seen and with warranty info with pricing. Thank you
Hopefully I’ll have some stock again one day and I can do another one
Going into my 7th season with my 2015 Hustler Fastrak SD. 600 hrs. Very reliable and plenty of power with the Kawasaki. Original belts and battery. Changed a couple of spindle bearings over the life of it and I am religious about all maintenance. Great purchase for me. Saved so much time on my yard, I picked up a few lawns on my street and it has paid for itself about 3 times over in the last 7 years.
I love the fastraks!! Just sold our last one last week hopefully we can get some more
Definitely a great review video that I came back to after a year! You have a blessed day as well!
I bought the bad boy elite last year with the Kawasaki engine, 54” deck, runs good, handles great, starts good, mows great
But it’s loud when mowing, I wear good quality ear muffs, only draw back I have with it,
I had the optional rear hitch and old man’s mount/dismount support handle installed, It helps me get on off the mower,
Congrats!! You ought to hear a 27hp kohler rebel if you think your zt is loud 😂. The old man handle is my best selling add on so far. My last salesman called it a stripper pole 🙈.
We literally had a sweet 75 year old lady come in and ask to get a stripper pole for her mower and we died laughing 😂 😂.
Great explanation and very helpful that you state prices here to give us an idea if we're looking at mowers in our budget.
Just remember those are all higher now 🙈
Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!
Wish my local dealers were as knowledgeable and competitive.
Kevin is the cream of the crop explaining the different types of zero turns.
Wow ty so much :)
Thank you for the information on this video it's been a great help
Love the worship music playing in the background...Raise a Hallelujah!
Picked up a scag patriot last year and love 💘 it!
Thank you for your business
great vide very informative, good prices as well i learned a lot from this video
I have the patriot and it's a beast of a machine for the price. I absolutely love it.
starting new job monday on a zero turn, cant wait, love mowing grass
We’ve had a Bad Boy Magnum 54” cut with the Kohler engine for over 3 years now. Can’t complain. Easy to work on, virtually no problems, and it cuts grass!
Did you get the upgraded version with the flip up floorboard? It came out around 3 years ago. The deck is 7 guage it is light years above the old one. If you didn’t you may check them out, anytime people see the new version they usually trade :).
@@kgmowers ... yes. I got the newer version when they came out! Flip up deck cover and the 7 gauge deck is very tough! We cut 10-12 acres with it and I plan to buy a 60” Maverick to supplement the Magnum to cut our time down tremendously! I think the Bad Boys are a real value for the money.
Congrats. I hated the old design we hardly ever sold one. Once they beefed them up they were a homerun!!! Yeah mowing over 2 acres with that think you are overheating the 20x50 oil in the transmissions and just eating into their lifespan. If one of your transmissions goes out in that you may think about upgrading to the maverick transmissions on that. It won’t cost much then you get the 4 times longer lasting tranny that you can service every couple of years.
@@kgmowers ... thanks for the info on the transmission upgrade. So far no problem’s, plan to buy a Maverick to cut most of the area with and only trim with Magnum. We’ve only cut the whole area a couple times with the Magnum. Until this year, we used 2 pull type Swishers behind a Polaris Ranger to cut the open areas. But, that’s very slow cutting and not as clean a cut as the Bad Boy. Thanks again!
I was wondering if you were going to do grasshopper and scag justice. You did your obviously very knowledgeable. I own six grasshoppers and three Scags and they’re just fantastic mowers. People listen to this man
I’m gonna do one just on Scag this week :)
I have a 335 Grasshopper, decent mower, I bought it mainly for the collection system. Then I have two old Hustler Super Z 60's, those are good on the hills. As far as reliability, bought the Grasshopper in 2018, bad starter and have blown three hydraulic hoses already!
I just bought a 2023 Maverick with the 25 hp Kohler confident 747 cc motor. It was the suspension that sold it for me. I also drove a rebel with a Kawasaki and an air seat, but driving over bumpy grass and dirt. The air seat without the suspension didn’t feel any better than the standard seat with the suspension. I got it for a residential mower because I have a hill and I wanted to 3200 drives. Some people say they don’t like Kohler engines but I’ve been running a Kohler command 23 for the last 19 1/2 years and it’s still running great and for my use and mowing a little over 2 acres. I think it will be more than enough. There were a couple things about it I don’t like, the tires are aggressive, which would be good for mud I guess but some people complain that they slip on wet grass a little more, it’s loud, and the choke is kind of touchy, but the suspension just made a huge difference, and if it turns out to be an issue, I can always add the air ride seat, which I priced at 699, but so far it’s been comfortable and it’s more than fast enough and I’ve only got a couple hours on it but it’s never bogged or hesitated so I’m expecting it to be a pretty good mower.
Yes that’s our best seller :)
I bought the Bad boy Maverick with the Kawasaki engine and I love it!
I heard the cut is awful ?
I HAD A GRASSHOPPER TO I LOVED IT !!!
Love the music in the background
The BadBoy has adjustable steering levers as well and that was big thing for me.
Just bought a scag patriot 61" deck 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to try it out
Congrats!!
@Colby Erik what kind of scam is this? I've been seeing posts like this on many videos followed by the reply about 20 minutes later saying how well it works. Maybe you should stop being a pos and get a job so you don't have to scam others out of their hard earned money.
That Scag is nice I want one with a 48 inch deck
We run 3 bad boy 35hp diesels at work. They get ran as hard. Been pretty decent so far.
Great video Kevin! Happy Selling!
Hey there Scag! Do you like how y’all dominate in the engine and the trans in that class 🤔. People can’t see it unless you line them up like that. Little things people miss :). Well.,. In the 60 atleast 😀
@@kgmowers 3 years ago when I was buying a mower, my main focus points for an entry-level commercial mower were the hydros, engine, deck, and price. After much deliberation, Scag had the best value with the 3400s and the Kawa FX730v for my purposes,.After 3 years, had no problems with any part of the Scag (with mowing some pretty gnarly stuff) and am very glad that I went with the beefier engine and transaxles in the range.
Love this video!!! I work at a Hustler dealer in Hawaii💛💛💛 We are Hustler, Echo/Shindaiwa, and Honda
We delivered a few bad boy mowers and a bad boy tractor over there. I don’t think they have any dealers.
Finally a video that makes anyone's pick easier....Thank You, Thank, Thank you.
Kevin, really enjoy your videos (very informative). I'm sure your very busy right now, are you considering another update to this years models? Thanks again..
I don’t have a lot in stock is the issue. Lot of trouble getting stock 🙈
Can we get a review on a 329 big block mid mount! Thanks! I currently own a 623t front mount, but in the market for a mid mount big block
Scag. The ultimate cutting machine.
One nice advantage of the hustler is the low center of gravity/height. Really holds well on steep slopes.
Walker coming out with a 56 inch deck soon for the r21 I hope walker has a few engine options as well and bigger decks
He left out that the Scagg Patriot also has a BRAKE PEDAL...Man I love that..had to use it ALOT..Sure is a Mind Easer...6 Yrs and Love it..
Very informative thank you
I have run scag, bad boy, hustler, grasshoppers, gravelys, toros, and john deeres and by far the best mower I have used and not my entire fleet is is hustler super Z's. All 72 inch cut except for 2 that are the new 104" cut. People may have they own opinion but the hustler fits our needs perfectly and is the easiest to work on. But when you mow 400+ acres a week it makes a world of difference being on a comfortable mower. At the end of the day for any of you looking at mowers, sit in them, you need to think they are comfortable
The super zs are hard to beat. Sadly we sell very few because of the price difference between my other brands :(
@@kgmowers the super z’s are crazy, fortunately I get government pricing so I’m paying way less, but in my shopping for our fleet replacements to me they were super nice. I’m glad to see others have good luck with bad boys, the one in my fleet has given me nothing but trouble
I run a hustler XD fast track I also have run those other mowers and agree hustler will out cut them all in speed and cut quality but mine was a little over ten grand.
thanks great review
Very good brake of each.
Love the videos buddy, if you had to cut grass which mower, of the four, would you hop on?( I have a 227 Grasshopper w/72 inch deck 27 hp kohler command)
My go to mowers are the new hustler xride or bad boy rogue for the big yards for the ride. And personally for my yard the best hands down mower is the bad boy revolt 36”. I haven’t found a better fit or mower for my yard period :)
Great video and you hit a lot of good points. Music was a little distracting.
I've got 2-3 acres that need mowing and it's tall (waist high) hay grass. What would be the way to go?
Thoughts between the Maverick and a Grasshopper 126V? We have a new dealer for Bad Boy close ish. The Grasshopper dealer is a really nice family owned business and they have a holdover that makes it very comparable price wise to the Maverick.
Side note; thanks for the videos and comparisons. A lot of these machines are very difficult to find reviews and actual down to earth information on. Much appreciated.
grasshopper best out of them all........pumps are smoothest driving and also are filtered the best of all of them. 500 hour filter change/1000 hour fluid change if memory serves me correctly. They also put the fuel tanks in the middle of machine to help with balance. Mowing decks are strongest out of all of them plus the most economical when parts are needed out of all brands !!
Great impartial review
Thanks for a good reivew
Great reviews
Firstly, thank you so much for this video! I landed a contract to maintain our county fairgrounds which is about 3 acres, fairly rough terrain (mainly ruts) with a few steep inclines on drainage ditches. What I am mainly looking for is reliability and speed. I would like something with deck that is good at leveling so that I don't scalp and to maybe use on my larger residential lots. I grew up with Grasshoppers and loved them but my family just purchased a commercial grade Hustler to replace our Grasshopper and they sing it's praises. I also just test drove a used Country Clipper and I was incredibly impressed. What would be your recommendation on a used a mower in the $2000 - $2500 price range with 50-60in deck?
That’s a rough price range with everything going on. I believe if you bumped up to $3500 to $4000 range you could find some good offerings out there. Kgmowers.com for some examples of what I’m saying.
@@kgmowers I ended up finding an Exmark Quest with 54" deck and bagger kit for $2100. It was being sold at a local John Deere dealer and so they were happy to get it off their lot.
Nice review thanks
yes
I thought the grasshopper mower decks would raise up for easy clean and change or sharpen blades.
Only on the front mount mowers. Grasshopper makes belly mowers too
I prefer the hustler, they just seem to feel better all around.
The smooth track steering is amazing on them.
Bad boy all day so simple cuts amazing good price
Kevin, my friend. It’s time. The world wants to know how to pick a maverick or a rebel? What does the extra horsepower give you? It must be more than a comfy seat?? This video will be BIG!! 🍿
I am looking at both. Rebel is 12mph vs. 9 for maverick. Rebel is more commercial 5 to 9 acres. Just got back from dealer over these 2. Rebel has one hell of a cool seat for 2021. Also, i believe you can get into the efi at the rebel and up.
Wow didn't know scag was that good. And badboy sounds almost as good. Maybe next time I'll get one of those. I have a JD Z530M.
The Scag freedom Z is also commercial
I would take that grasshopper over any of those
Same I'm just not sure if that roll bar folds
Do you own a Grasshopper? I'm currently shopping for entry level commercial grade. I did research on the company. Very highly rated as far as being a great company to work for, and their involvement with helping wounded vets and the community where the factory is.
Scag, simply the best.
I have a scag and I run over boulders all the time still runs like a champ
Haha thanks for sharing. We have a Latino crew that runs scags. One day they brought the whole front end in the office holding it up and asking if I had one in stock. Like the entire bolt on part of the frame they had broke in half hitting a curb. I asked if the driver was ok and they responded of course he breaks these all the time 😂. They acted like I should have 5 on the shelf in stock and walked out ticked off saying they will just go to another dealer that stocks parts 🙈🙈😂😂. I have never seen them in my store again.
Could you feature a Waker mower. They are manufactured in Ft. Collins, Colo. They are working quite well for us.
I only have the r21s here. We have sold some bigger ones of course. I may get the new h37 and check it out for yall
Hustler all the way! My second choice would be Grasshopper.
I bought my Bad Boy Maverick from Tractor Supply because they are so close. I ordered thru them, ,and had it in 7days. I got it with the Kohler Confidant 746 with the 60".
It's one sweet ride.
Thank you !
Good video- 100v is hardly “commercial” but still a nice mower
I just bought a Scag tiger cat 2 last week couldn’t be happier. Would like to see a comparison of that mower and others. Enjoyed the videos
Thank you for your business!
@@ScagPowerEquipment I demo'ed a cheetah a few days ago, (looking for patriot though but didn't have any) and I thought the seat was horrible. The middle of the seat Dug into the middle of my back. Not sure if it was not adjusted or what. I wanted to love the scag before I got there. Heck I am still hoping for a miracle before I make my purchase of a ZT next week. Odds are it will be a Maverick or a Fastrak.
Great video Kevin. Do you allow your customers to test drive the equipment before purchasing?
Of course who would buy something u couldn’t atleast drive around the parking lot? Most are stuck with it for 20 years or more if they don’t like it. If a dealer doesn’t allow this, I would run far far away
@@kgmowers well we are coming tomorrow to pick up the Elite. We just moved here from Dallas. Your salesman helped sell us yesterday after looking around. Is it OK if we did a preview video of the Elite for our channel before we load it up?
Yes of course. We love the videos I didn’t realize so many people got on here researching.
@@kgmowers We were researching before our move and were convinced that we were going to get a Toro but our buddy Hank @hamiltonvillefarmlife educated us that the most important thing to do is purchase from a local spot with a service department. We were happy to find a nice place nearby us. 😊
There is a massive performance difference in tire size on mowers if you have rough property it makes it ride smoother and less likely to get stuck what is grasshopper thinking of making a statement that the tire size does not matter
Great review!
Any chace of reviewing each ones top of line diesels??😊
I would have to get my hands on them
Cutting ground speeds, rear clearance height , grease zert count, blade pitch, the real details would be nice in a video, thanks 😊
All are gonna be right at 10mph. All are gonna have a 1/8 pitch in the front. Grease zerts are less and less each year. They are all trying to seal as much possible. Kubota is the only one left that still has a ton of grease zerts
Y'all have a very good inventory 🤙
We keep a ton of mowers. One day I’ll show the back and the lot next door.. they all stack us heavy for the spring
@fartpoobox ohyeah what is your biggest concern and want out of a mower?
@fartpoobox ohyeah ok your trick on the homeowner stuff is going to be the stance and the amount of tire on the ground. For the best traction and best width of tire I would recommend a hustler raptor xd 54 or 60”. The xd has serviceable transmission. The stock tires are very wide and a ton of traction, and the transmission isn’t your typical ezt it’s the 2800 serviceable one. Make sure you get a 21 model I cannot recommend a 20 at all. Should be around $4300 to $4500 depending on the deck size you go with. 54 will look better on the cut, but the 60 has a wider stance for the hills. This is my recommendation out of the 36 brands to meet your needs the best. If you don’t hAve a hustler dealer around the bad boy avenger will be your next best, but you may have to upgrade the tires to a more aggressive tread. The 60 runs a pretty wide tire for that mid 4K range as well.
On the other brands I’m not familiar with a lot of them out there. Look for low stance and wide tires. Also if you can afford it jump to serviceable transmissions they have a little more power for the hills. Scag Liberty would be the best cut quality, but the tires are much more narrow. Definately would have to upgrade tread and maybe even buy a wider tire (it could fit) to maximax the mower for your hills. It has by far the best warranty 750 hours 5 year, but would need a tire upgrade for sure for you to be happy with it. Also it’s gonna be the most expensive closer to
5k
If you had to choose grasshopper or hustler, what would you do??
Great video
How do theses compare to ferris and jd 930?
Which Kubota model is comparable to these?
I was always wondering if BadBoy would make it. When I bought my Liberty Z I was hesitant to look at BadBoy. But now I’m seeing them a lot around town.
They are blowing the market away. I can’t believe they are selling 70k a year units now almost
@@kgmowers sold 100,000 units in 2021
They alll have their problems but hustler had a big problem snapping the bolts and brackets that hold the transaxles in place.
Im planning on trying out just about every demo I can this year, I really want to try grasshopper
I demo the 328 grasshopper is the smallest we demo. It’s the 28hp efi vanguard. That way once you use that you won’t like the smaller ones 😀
@@kgmowers 🤣🤣 I love that strategy. I have very high hopes for grasshopper in my near future, as well as for Ferris possibly in my near future. As of right now I'm an Exmark guy but I'm always open to try new things and this is only my second year in business anyways so I'm still figuring things out lol
Used a grasshopper 325 d for almost ten years. They are good mowers. 2500 hours plus.
@@sureshots8155 that's what I have heard a lot of. There's several used ones here in my area for sale that have my attention I'm just not ready to buy one yet. I definitely want to try a demo of one for sure.
@@JonsDailyHustle u definitely can't go wrong with exmark really they make very good stuff
After Month's of research, I am pretty sure we are going with a Bad Boy, but having a hard time deciding between the new "ZT Elite" and "Maverick" for our 2 acres. Our local dealer only carries the Kohler, which I am fine with for our 30-40 hours of yearly use (save a few bucks, plus no valve adjustments down the road). Basically a $900 difference between the ZT and Mav., If I understand it the Maverick gains rear suspension, ROPS, 3200 vs 3100 hydro's, and possibly slightly beefier seat, front forks and higher rated motor. Any other big differences, or something I'm missing? Is Resale/Trade-in values as good on these Bad Boys compered those others?
Sorry just saw this. Mav also has reaper tires, much faster driving, much better ride and you go to a different tier motor and transmission. Going to the next tier gains a lot more lifespan.
@@kgmowers Also worth getting the air ride seat option.
@@3waver maverick hd solves that issue :). For the price difference of the seat the hd has waaay more engine, transmissions, and no flat tires on the front :)
I have a grasshopper 428 D that has over 5,000 commercial hours on it.
Do you mind going on grasshopper owners group on Facebook and posting a pic of your hours? There is a post on the most hours.
Iam a Ferris zero turn mower guy have had two of them. I love my 2100Z 61 inch cut can you convince me to buy another brand. Like the Ferris for the suspension and cut.
Nah not really that’s all you. It’s fun to check them all out. I guess the only negative to say is I notice the pricing is a little high on the Ferris and Briggs is begging someone to buy the company. Briggs has Ferris snapper and simplicity all for sale at value pricing trying to get rid of their side gigs and focus on the engines since the bankruptcy.. don’t know how long they will keep them open if someone doesn’t buy the company soon. In my opinion the bad boy rogue has a slightly better ride, and a beefier build a little easier to work on. Not to mention $9599 with a fx850 Kawa $9999 with a fx1000 Kawa, or $10699 with a 37hp efi vanguard the pricing is better as well. Def worth checking out the others. If you like the suspension falling into the rogue isn’t bad at all. With the hustler or the grasshopper you can add front forks for a little better ride and the Scag cheetah isn’t bad either. The toro my ride system I heard rides decent.
@@kgmowers
Oh wow thanks for the feedback Kevin!
What's the best bang for your buck between Scag Liberty or Hustler Raptor XL? Both around 54 inch deck, what's your pick?
This year your down to has any mowers left to be honest. The Liberty cuts better and has a 5 year parts and labor warranty built in, but the hustler feels better, little heavier duty and I think better looking. Also hustler has a little easier access. Better grab up what they have in stock people are gonna end up doing without this year. Most of the mower companies are backordered may even be till the end of the season
Grasshopper 725d for the win every time.
Do you own one? I'm currently shopping for an entry level commercial grade.
I am looking at Scag Liberty or Bad Boy under 5500$. I live in rocky TX hill country so need durability. What do you recommend.
Bad boy has a crazy stout deck and frame. If you get the Scag be careful catching the deck on rocks. Really put your hands on both to see the difference. The deck durability and thickness in metal has lost Scag some sales here with people concerned about ramming into stuff with the deck. The Scag has a 5 year warranty, cuts better of course where the bad boy only has the 2 built into the price, and the Scag is higher priced. They all have negatives and positives :).
Looking hard at either a badboy rebel or kubota 700 series. Can you tell me what the most common failure point/weakness is that you see from bad boys? I keep getting told the spindle bearings go bad often. Very nice comparison btw.
If you do blow a spindle bearing kubota and bad boy I see a lot within the first year already bad. I upgrade either one with timken class a bearings and you are usually good to go. Even when the Kubota’s are in warranty they still bring them to us to have me upgrade the bearings so they don’t have to keep going back. The 700 is my favorite kubota they make. I highly recommend opening up both and driving both around. I will also throw in the hustler xone. It’s an almost identacle copy of the 700, same transmissions etc, but with the hustler you would get a mower from a mower company. Parts cheaper, easier and cheaper to service, not to mention the 5 year warranty already figured into the price. I will give you an example. The idler pulley on kubota is capital stamping. They are $60 at the tractor place, and $24 from bad boy retail. There is a substantial difference in parts pricing.
@@kgmowers could you elaborate on the most common failures you see from these two? A big draw for me to these two brands is the deck adjustment being a dial. On my yard I have several cutting height changes and I’ve gotten spoiled by that feature. Many thanks
I love the dial. So easy to use. I hate the pin systems way to much work to change the heights. I think you will love it.
Bearings, throttle cables, choke cables, really just normal crap. Pto switches, it switches, wheel bearings, belts.
hi ,
great vid! i'm from Australia and we don't get many of the brands that you just spoke about but im hoping you could throw some advice my way as i'm sure you
would still have a fair idea of the two brand mowers im looking to purchase.
1. bobcat zt3500 61 inch
2. kubota z422 54 inch
the bobcat retails at 3k more then the kubota but with the bigger deck and next model up kawasaki engine but the rest of the specs are pretty much the same . kubota here in aus are real bang for your buck but i also like the larger deck ???? whats your experience like with the two at home? kubota dosent do the larger deck here so that sucks but anyhow thats it. oh and im cutting about 4 and half acres. cheers for your time
Looking at a 23 Bad Boy Maverick HD 54” with Honda and a Hustler Fastrak SDX . Bad Boy is about 1k less plus it has a Honda motor which I like . I’ve had an older Hustler for 16 years with no major issues. But I’m leaning towards the Bad Boy , watch a think
So the hustler will have a lot longer warranty, cuts better, and the drives will be smoother feeling. The bad boy will ride a lot better. That’s gonna be a hard choice. I would for sure atleast drive both around their yard before buying. $1000 sounds like a lot until you figure it over the next 20 years
@@kgmowers
You say better cut with hustler, if so why or how do you think that ? I drove both mowers yesterday and both feel about the same . Same transmission’s , Honda felt a little smoother than Kawasaki .
I priced 3 out of the 4 mentioned a few days ago, and CRIPES at the price increase. Eaisly 30% more than when this video was shot.
Yes it’s been crazy on the increases
I'm almost paying $9,500 out the door with $100 payments every month on the Scag 52 brand new sure wish I could have went with y'all and it has nothing to do with credit because credit is great and I only got I think 1% APR
GRASSHOPPER HANDS DOWN!!!!!💪💯

@@royalway12 I own a grasshopper 61"

Yes grasshopper
Scag Patriot is for sure #1 here
What would you recommend for under 6k? I was looking at potentially getting a 52” Freedom Z.
The freedom z is good. I know Scag is out of them right now though. Super low sitting, so my only complaint is after a few hours of mowing it’s harder to climb out of my that one. I would recommend some kind of old man handle to go on the front of the frame. Bad boy makes one for $49. In my house I would check out the zt elite, hustler xdx and the freedom all in the same class and see which one fits you better. The freedom z feels like you climbed into a corvette or something to me. Also the zt had gravely would be good to glance at too.
Almost forgot out of all of that class bad boy will be your only one with a 7 guage commercial deck and a suspension system for the mower. The freedom will cut a hair better than all.
@@kgmowers Thanks for the quick response and advice!
Kevin out of the units u show here. What unit would u buy if u had to pick one?
He owns a scag cheetah
which one is the fastest ?
Nice mowers
Any issues with badboy maverick with kohler motors.?
No we love them. Best air filter in the line up. I wish the starter was a little better, that’s really the only weak point. Good thing is the starter costs over half as much as a kawasaki starter if it goes out. Don’t get me wrong, we see issues with all the engines (much less with vanguard, and so far 0 on Hondas).
Gravely blows them out of the water. But all mowers hit 1000 hrs they all start breaking down. I've had 14 mowers in the last 20 years.
I'm moving onto a 5 acre property in a few weeks and need to buy a zt mower. The property has a few slopes but is flat for the most part, and all grass. I'd like to keep the price below 5k. Any Recommendations?
I wouldn’t go with a 5k mower for acres unless it was a used commercial. Your gonna have to talk the wifey into $1000 more $21 more a month for a 4 times longer lasting motor and transmission. Offer to mow the neighbors yard to pay the extra in the payment or something
@@kgmowers I tried to buy the Gravely zt HD 60 that's at the house now, but she's taking it with her when she moves. Is there a mower you would recommend in the price range you mentioned that would work for my property? New or used is fine by me, thank you.
The zt hd is too light. You need atleast the proturn
is the walker a R21?
I am looking at the Scag website right now and the Cheapest Patriot is over 8K. That is a big jump in a year.
Yes it’s 8500 to 9200 on the cash sales pricr
