Just love it !!! How you are always there for a friend in need !!! Just like we are up here , no matter what or what time it is we are always there for each other ... and guess what ? We don’t charge them either cuz a good deed always comes back around ... 👍👍👍
Know one will ever forget the Captain taking a mirror off the dump truck. He will never live it down. That was adventure unloading the truck. You can live without Pringle's but not without a Pepsi.
Land Rover owners call leaving oil trails like that marking their territory. Two part modelling clay is really good for temporary fixes and can still seal oil (and fuel) leaks. I knocked a hole in my sump (oil pan) and used it to make a temporary fix that got me 200 miles home. I now always keep a pack in my emergency toolbox.
everyone has good luck and bad luck with products, I love cummins so much I put one in my 90 bronco. Got a kick out of this vid and your community reminds me so much of ours, good stuff. I'm putting up a building right now and my best friend( the contractor AKA the builder ) has become the Inspector and what a cringe when he shows up. Love the channel and keep up the community
2018 Pete 567 with an X15 Cummins and other than the DEF system, it's been great. 120k miles and no leaking oil. The Jake will throw you through the windshield. Wish I didn't have a DPF so you could hear it though.
my son use to work at east manufacturing as a welding gluing these trailers together. its my opinion that the n14 was the last good cummins in a road tractor. im not a sterling fan at at....no matter who owned the name and built them. that is a fine theft deterrent system as well as job security for the guy who wiggles the wires.....
Awesome small town neighbor helping neighbor / customer vid. One thing nice about living in small town America. There's always someone you know that can help ya out and not coat you an arm and a leg. A tow truck would have charged big bucks to move that semi.
671 Detroit a GM in a LTS 9000 Ford 16 speed Spicer oddity for sure 20+ ton GD 1000 Water Well Drilling Rig a gallon a day regardless of use or abuse ,Dad had a picture on the wall with a drip can under the motor. Was told by a die hard Detroit man best gasket kit is 2 gallons of paint after a rebuild ? It's a great use power plant always dependable starts in any weather regardless of how cold here in Extreme NW Corner of OH just mention ether show it the cap a 1976 still going strong. Been the smoke route once blew a oil filter gasket thankfully a spare was had ,easily obtained.
As a retired diesel mechanics those comments are great engines you do the work on animals any truck in America has one oh I also worked on those Mack good work horse engine
I know a spitting image of that farmer friend of yours here in town - runs a killer big truck company hauling goods built from scratch. Both sounds like they are related. This is a kick for me.
Good video again you are always helping people out I always like hearing the Mack truck it sounds real good there ain’t nothing like I good Pepsi and Pringles chips They are good good be safe my friend
As an observer from Canada, I can’t help but notice almost every RUclipsr I watch is always drinking a can of pop. I know y’all call it Soda. Seems everyone there drinks a lot of “soda”. That shit ain’t good for you. Great videos Mr Dirt Perfect. 👍
So I don't know if its possible with the clutch safety interlock ... but an old trick i use is put the truck in low forward or reverse and when you spin the starter it will easily move the truck because of the gear reduction in the transmission. Handy as hell if you have to move a dead rig a few feet.. wouldn't recommend it all the time but off a trailer is a perfect application.
The worse thing that happened to me driving semi was having the steering box lock-up while going about 55-60 on a corner fully loaded with logs on my way to the mill. I had my hand on the door to bail out and about to pull both brake knobs and at the last second i turned INTO the corner to try to unlock the box and thank God it did unlock. However, when i turned back towards the road and my right tire came back to asphalt, it shot me across the center line at the top of the hill with a car coming. I whipped the wheel back to the right just in time to miss the car by about 3/4 of an inch. All but about 2 cords on the back, slid over to the drivers side about 2 feet. The load chains helped it not go farther. The 4 people in the car had real huge eyes, almost coming out i think. If i would`ve bailed out on the corner, the truck would`ve smashed through a small house and maybe another one. You should always carry extra underwear when your on the job, lol
be careful out there, we just lost one hell of a nice guy whom would give the shirt off his back to help people. he was helping a friend get off the road with his kabota and got struck twice by two trucks. big bright orange tractor and the guy still hit him on a straight of way.
I remember the Mack’s in the 70’s Cummins were offered and the Maxidine V8. I’m outta touch with new Mack trucks which engine is in your green Mack. Thanks in advance.
Did the drive line scrape as it loaded? It looked awful close as it went over the hump loading? Looks like dropping the air bags and leaving the ramp up a bit gave better clearance. Whoooooooh! Good job red necking it. Like the pile driving job. You just get it done. There are two kinds of engines. There are the Cummins and the goings. Better to be behind an engine that is going.
Interesting, were trying to find a truck for my neighbor and are staying away from Mack and Mercedes. My Cat and his Cummins have been trouble free for the most part. I own a 2003 F-350 diesel, the most feared engine on the Earth and I have no problems, guess it comes down to how you treat your equipment. Diving into DEF equipped engines has been a challenge as you well know..... 😎
before jumping in the ole mack you do a pre trip and a kleeman drove it inspection lol. when you was looking for your pringles i remembered kleeman was eating them in the retaining wall video. hes still alive which is good but the look on his face just priceless lol
Ha ha ha, end of the video and I was gonna ask "what happened to the pringles?". it's good to see the vids all the way through for answers, i guess. I am curious why you don't have a block and tackle setup to use your winch to pull equipment backwards. Great Vids thanks for sharing.
You guys are hilarious, we all try to come to each other’s rescue here too! It always involves lots of pictures for social media and a lot of good natured ribbing! We never charge each other because we figure if we have to call each other it’s gonna get expensive enough! lol
Another job on the side Mike, if there is an hour left in the day, it is an hour you could work !!! Distress flare launched, and answered professionally..... Ron Pratt may offer you some work 😜 Like the black high vis you had on 🤷♂️🤦♂️😂
I worked for both Cat (15 years) and Cummins (13 years) but on industrial engines 12,16 and 18 cylinder up to 95 litre, 5,000 hp. Both make good engines but hey anything with moving breaks down as you well know LOL.
Can’t blame the Cummins for a fuel leak Mike but from how you describe the leak at the end it’s not just a fuel line from the tank like I had. That being said. A fuel leak is no fun and even less fun on wet rain soaked roads with a tag trailer behind you. 😬
The Ole Bulldog is definitely a hard working rig. Of course all the different engine manufacturers have some issue or another, but it always feels better when it's not yours. Lol
I haven’t worked on any that new got out of it before then but I can see where that would lend to issues. We had a Volvo I hated the truck preferred the FLD over that thing even if it was newer. May have been a good over road say cab truck but was crappy dump truck. The FLD had a 60 series Detroit in it and didn’t get around the job site well even with a 12 speed but it did get good fuel mileage to and from jobs and was pretty good with the trail king trailer

Busting Chops between friends is a must...... Cummins/Mack, Ford/Chevy, Blondes /Redheads, 9mm/45acp........etc etc
Great way to unload! Done that a time or two haha. Good to see the towing company up and running again. Take care and be safe. Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧

I would count playing pick-up-sticks for Wade as a towing and recovery video.
I have my P.A. setup in the house for surround sound and the Mack sounds Bad-Ass going thru the gears!! 👍
Awesome
the screws that hold the crossover tubes will make a preacher cuss

Hi Mr dirt perfect you should have changed farmer Chris for the mess on the trailer great video
Good job 👍
Pepsi should come out with a Dirt Perfect limited edition! They owe you for all the free advertising 😁
He ain't that cool
He should try Great Value flav. water black cherry is the boom
He keeps holding the cans wrong and not showing the label on camera.
I’ve told him that’s holding him back on sponsorship deals.
#Pepsi.

The podcast with Farmer Chris should be good, can’t wait to hear his story
oh yes .yes .. sometimes we have slight 'translation issues' over this side of the pond but must agree the podcasts are not to be missed.

The Mack sounded beautiful as you drove out the lot. Reminded me of that old movie " Dual" great sounding truck is the star of the show.

You should've loaded the mack on the trailer behind the GMC and did both with one stone.🍻
If I remember correctly, Mack is the only truck company that makes their own engines in the US?
