Sting was doing a perfect groove in "The bed's too big without you", with 10 notes and a lot of space between them. Mohini Dey is making no groove at all with 1.254.789 notes. That why I never liked any bass genius / wizard, because of the total lack of emotion, really.
It's all a matter of perspective. Mohini clearly feels every note she's playing and just because you don't feel it doesn't mean it lacks emotion, it just means her style isn't for you. That's what's great about music...there's something for everyone.
Love it, she is one of the new pioneers of fusion bass.
