I like HD Breakout a lot. So, I went to visit a local HD dealership and they wanted to charge me a lot over MSRP. So, I eventually bought a 1/12 scale model and I have become a happy owner now ever since.
Buy a used one (like new about 2-5k mikes). It will save you A LOT OF MONEY :)

Angled valve stems should become an industry standard. Great idea Milwaukee.
It is a good idea in theory, but not executed well. The valve stems should be hard mounted, but they’re mounted in rubber. So they flex when you try to check air pressure or add air. It’s annoying and requires two hands to do either task.
Great looking bike!! My 2020 handles very well!! I’d buy it again in the blue.

I had an '04 Sportster. I liked the power delivery, and the way it held it's value when I sold it a year later.
Other than those 2 points, that was all I liked. All in all, it was a good experiment.
I had 2 XLCH's. (64&94) loved the sound and torque, 2nd gear was so fun down by the beach. But always wrenching on them. The trans was like a truck trans. My 64 was a 4spd but they didn't improve it when they added the 5th gear that was in the 94.
This one though is pretty, a lot different deal than Sportster. Probably really nice if you can foot the freight. You might take a peak at the Triumphs too. Similar torque and thumpyness but a bit more like sewing machine than a cement mixer.

I loved my 05 pearl black Fatboy until a woman decided to run a red light at 45 miles and hour. This model is a beast , love the color. Safe travels out there .😎

@@lawsonfan5797 was originally going for a 2019 Fatboy however there is not as much negotiating wiggle room with used inventory vs. new. It's a dealer to dealer thing, but was happy. Got screwed on my wife's car tho in mid covid. More buyers than stock and it's take it or leave it. Used prices are sky high so it is what it is when you got have a car.
@@johnb3291 Yeah I'm looking at a couple of 21's, 1 new/1 used, just about same price. Maybe the used will end up being less with the surcharge they seem to be hitting you with on new.

I ride a Victory Hammer S that has stock a 250 rear tire. I actually have a 260 Metzler on it currently and its one of the best bikes I've ever owned. I test rode a 2021 Fatboy at a HD demo event and frankly it was the worst handing bike I've ever been on.
I bought this bike, Vivid Black, a 2022 and I love it. The solid wheels do NOT have problems in crosswinds, it's a fallacy. I love my new bike but I wish it had the solid wheels. I owned a 1996 Fat Boy, great bike but this new Fat Boy is greatly improved, I look forward to taking it on many enjoyable trips, my first will be to Winthrop Washington next spring, can't wait!! Oh, now the negative, the Harley dealer in Lynnwood Washington totally ripped me off and I let him, stupid me, he charged me way over MSRP, yeah I'm pissed but I let him do it so I only have myself to blame. I will never trust a car or motorcycle dealer, they're all thieves.

Just ordered one with the s&s 465, freedom straight twins, tail tidy, led fronts. Can not wait! Took a while to warm to the new differences but now love the single fuel cap, new wheels and the emblem

Unfortunately not this year, the green (Deadwood Green) was available for 2021 but not 2022. This year the only available colors are Vivid Black, Reef Blue, and Midnight Crimson/Vivid Black.

That is a fantastic motor that has proven itself in the Pan America and now the Sportster S. It would be very interesting to see what else that motor can do!

Improvements are always being made and the 2022 Fat Boy does have an upgraded oil pump.

I’m looking into getting my first motorcycle. However I do not know which one. I’m a bigger guy 6’2 260. I have friends and family who ride and I was told even a 1200 is too small for me. So with that being said would this be a good bike for a beginner & a taller person?
Buy a cheap import for 3k, ride for a season then trade your bike in for whatever looks good to you. Anyone telling you to buy a full size HD right off the bat is leading you astray.

Hey, Tyler, great question! So the awesome thing about motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons are how easy they are to customize. Almost any bike can fit anyone with the right seat, bars, and foot peg combination. Obviously, for a new rider we would not recommend starting with a full-sized CVO Road Glide Limited but there are plenty of mid-sized bikes that could fit you perfectly, such as the Fat Boy. I would recommend starting with the Softail and Dyna families, and it won't hurt to try out the Sportster too. The best option will be to visit your local Harley-Davidson dealer, hopefully Tobacco Road, and work with the staff to sit on several different bikes and see what feels most comfortable to you. Lots of people will offer their recommendations but at the end of the day it will be what feels most comfortable to you.

@@Dirtwhistlegristle they are over valued, and they dont handle as well as other bikes. You will lose thousands buying a sportster then selling it 2 years later and if you buy a softail, you will be over invested and the risk of a lay down is too great.
