I agree with you 100% about these Persians! They get so defensive and uncomfortable when you mention Azeri or speak the language. I was born in Canada and come from an Azeri Iranian family (Urmia) and we only spoke Azeri at home. I never knew how to speak Farsi and I don't care for the language because that is not our mother tongue! The only reason Azeris in Iran speak Farsi is because the language of the Government and Education is Farsi. Azeris in Iran are not even allowed to be educated in their own language yet you have countries like Canada who allow you to be educated in French or English. I remember Persian families here in Canada would always ask me "how come you don't speak Farsi? you're parents didn't teach you?!" and I would reply so proudly, "because I'm not Persian, I speak my own language...Azeri". Persians are the most racist in Iran...towards all minorities...Kurds, Balouchis, Arabs and Azeris. Even towards Afghan Hazara's

7:31 There is no such a thing as “south of Azerbaijan”. They word didn’t even exist until couple of a decades ago. Historically there has been only one Azerbaijan and that’s the Iranian Azerbaijan where you took this video. The land of Modern Republic of Azerbaijan was called Aran and Shirvan until Iran lost it to Russia and later under Soviet Union Russians decided to call Aran and Shiravan Federational Republic of Azerbaijan to question the integrity of Iran in regards to the land of Azerbaijan which is located in Iran. It’s sad that reminiscent of Russian divide and rule imperialism is still causing divide and problems between ours peoples.

Al-Kufi, an Arab historian of the 9th-10th centuries, describes the movements of the ruler of Azerbaijan, Al-Jarrah ibn Abdallah, in 723-724. Al-Jarrah had been ordered by caliph Yazid ibn Abd al-Malik to “stop over in Azerbaijan”. He is said “to have reached al-Bab (Derbent) in the area of Azerbaijan”. He further “headed to the state of Azerbaijan and settled in Baylakan”; he “headed to the state of Azerbaijan and stopped over in Barda” (19; 53, 58).
Al-Kufi also wrote about the developments that occurred in Azerbaijan in 735.
“Marwan left Syria at the helm of 120,000 troops and reached Azerbaijan soon thereafter. He made a stopover in a residential area called Kasak, located 40 farsangs away from Barda and 20 farsangs away from Tiflis”, the source said. The author is referring to Gazakh in the north-western part of the present-day Azerbaijan Republic.

We are the same people living in two different political entities. But for more than 2300 hundred years we were the same country. I am iranian azari and there is maximum 15 million of us.

Even though country of Azerbaijan was separated from Iran only 200 years ago. Iranins respect territorial integrity of country of Azerbaijan, but the seperatis Azeri say South Azerbaijan to imply that provinces or Azerbaijan in Iran aren't part of sovereign Iran but merely South of Country of Azerbaijan. Thank you Davud for showcasing the Azerbaijani language in Iran! They will never break our spirit and language! Even towards Afghan Hazaras

It's Azari, not Azeri for start, derived from the ancient Persian word AZAR, meaning fire. The Azari language, the Persianate language of Zoroaster is nearly extinct, and the language that this guy speaks and calls Azeri is a Turkic/Mongolian language of the nomadic hordes of invaders from the east, and hundred percent non-Persian and non-Azari. In fact, Turkish is the language of another fake country called Turkey, which was ethnically populated by Persians, Greeks, and later. Romans. In other words, the language changed by the invaders of Constantinople, the seat of Orthodox Christianirty. There was no Turkey until the nineteen twenties when the freemason Kamal Ataturk engineered this fake country, which has no archeological remains of its own and no Turkish architecture. Similarly, the fake Azerbaijan was a part of Persia called Aran and Shirvan, and Azarbaijan was the name only of the region south of the river Araxis. This guy is either genuinely ignorant or is playing dumb, in which case he wouldn't be welcome again.

In addition, when you give the example of the language policy in Canada, a country stolen from indigenous people, in fact the two European colonial languages are the official languages for communication and education. But could the indigenous peoples study science in their own language?! Now, remember that Iran isn't a newly invented country, and more than eight hundred languages and dialects are spoken there.

Our DNA also proves this, before that we spoke a branch of Western Iranian languages and our language was one of the branches of Iranian languages, so you who are proud of the Turkish language are unfortunate because you forgot your true identity! ! I suggest you, brother, to watch Mr. Vahid Bahman's movies, so that you may remember the real identity, we are not Turks, we are authentic Iranians and we have no relationship with the bloodthirsty Ottoman Turks!! Al-Kufi, an Arab historian of the 9th-10th centuries, describes the movements of the ruler of Azerbaijan, Al-Jarrah ibn Abdallah, in 723-724.
Azerbaijanis in Iran are Turks. They identify themselves as "Turks" and nothing else. Over the past millennium, the territory of today's “so-called” Iran was ruled by Turkic dynasties starting from the Ghaznavids, Seljuks, Timurids, Safavids, Nader Shah’s Afsharid dynasty, and ending with the Qajar’s. By the early 20th century, the Persian Pahlavi dynasty stole power from the Turks with the help of European powers, mainly Britain. Until that time there had never been a country called Iran. Since that day the Persian nationalists have been discriminating against Azerbaijani Turks and other minorities. Azerbaijani Turks in Iran are not a minority, but a majority. The Iranian current ayatollah mullah regime is systematically assimilating them. In most cases, the Persian neo-Nazis do not even recognize the Turkish identity of Azerbaijanis, calling them an Iranian fake "Azeri" minority just speaking Turkish or a hybrid mix of Iranians with Mongols. They openly insult the Turks, denying their ethnicity. This is the official state policy towards the Azerbaijani Turks in Iran. There are over 40 million Turks that live in Iran, but they don't even have the schools in Turkish language. The regime persecutes every Turk who demands a school or any other basic human right. The Persians are using the fanatical sect of Shia Islam to cover-up their ultra-nationalist pan-Farsist chauvinist agenda and oppress other ethnic groups. This ideology has nothing to do with the religion of Islam, but they call the state an Islamic republic. Iran is not an Islamic republic, but a Persian national kleptocracy. They actively promote the Persian neo-Nazi ideology of Aryan race supremacy.
