ABBA forever
Great song
So nice to see you return to reaction more ABBA songs
"Take a chance on me" (1978)
is one of their best ABBA hits in all the world,
the most selling song of ABBA in U.S. (more than Dancing Queen),
#3 in Billboard U.S.
one of their four Top10 in US :
#6 Waterloo (1974)
#1 Dancing Queen (1977)
#3 Take a chance on me (1978)
#8 The winner takes it all (1981)
This is one of few song than the vocals are more extensive than the music
(They begin 'a capela' and singing at the end)
the blonde singer Agnetha is the lead vocal in the solo verses, her voice is so powerful,
in perfect armonies and chorus with the brunette Anni Frid in co-leads vocal
(and the boys in back voices singing repetitive the frase 'take a chance, chance')
Agnetha & Anni Frid have fantastic voices and harmonies together
Agnetha is soprano
Anni Frid is mezzo soprano
and together made a 'third voice'
the guitarist Björn got the idea while jogging,
by the sound of the footsteps he interpreted t-k-t t-kt and adapted it to
"take a chance, chance, take a chance",
so the song was born
Although it is a disco europop, it's like a constant and happy march, captivating, cloying, addictive
if I could give You a suggestion for next reaction, take a review of all "ABBA The Álbum"
(release at the same time with "ABBA The Movie" in 1977),
is a Masterpiece of versatility in each song,
but specialy the hymn
"Thank you for the music"
or the winner song of the classic Eurovisión Song Contest at UK 1974: "Waterloo"
the live perfomanece of ABBA is icónic, I leave you to the reaction:

I wish you a greatest week

South America
Actually almost all of Abba's songs/records went high on the charts!
Hey... great react, Ace👌
I love❤this song!
Try 'Does your mother know'
(another side of ABBA 😊)
❤️🇨🇱👍
👍I loved your reaction............your joyous attitude matches ABBA's tunes❗♫♫♫♫♪♪♪♪♪♪♪
Such a good song. Thanks for the reaction. : )
This is my favorite ABBA song.
ABBA is the greatest group ever; so glad you're discovering them. You have to check out (Agnetha/Blonde Lead) The Winner Takes it All; SOS; I've Been Waiting for you, and Frida (Red Head Lead) - Fernando; Knowing me knowing you; When All is Said and Done. They don't make music like this anymore, and in the 70,'s, it was revolutionary that a band from Sweden made such an impact, and yes, ruled the world. Long live Angetha, Benny, Bjorn and Annifrid (aka, Frida). Simply THE BEST!!!!
Suggestion: the rocking live side of ABBA full of energy and passion, the song package Does Your Mother Know+Hole In your Soul with the incredible transition from the 1979 Wembley concert.
You will be amazed and have fun with the performance. Guaranteed.👍
Great song and great reaction. You're fun to watch. Love me some ABBA. Greatest group ever from Sweden. They have sold over 400 million records. Only the Beatles have sold more. To say they were huge in the 70s and 80s is an understatement. Did you know they were 2 married couples? The tall red head is Ani-Frid aka Frida or Annie and she married Benny the piano player. The blonde girl Agnetha married Bjorn the guitar player. That's where the name ABBA comes from, their first initials. Take care
Frida has never been called Annie. Agnetha, the blond was nicknamed Anna.
@@supastah68 yes she almost always went by Frida but I've actually seen a few interviews where someone's called her Annie for short. Unusual though.
Voulez-Vous next!
It slaps the hardest out of all of their songs
OMG yeess its my fave song
😂😂😂
3 Swedes and a Norwegian.
Frida may have been born in Norway but she was brought to Sweden as a baby for her safety. She grew up there, speaks swedish not Norwegian and is a Swedish citizen so yes she is Swedish
Hey Ace, fun reaction. I'd like to suggest a song for you based on your t-shirt. From 1976, folk/ blues/ pop singer Phoebe Snow did a cover of the song "No Regrets" on her album 'Second Childhood'. There's only audio video, but it's a jazzy number and I think you'll be blown away by Phoebe's vocal dynamics. She had a 4 octave range to work with, so playful yet powerful.
Erasure did a cover of this.
Unrelated to ABBA (who are great) you should check out some Pat Benatar. She trained in opera, but became a huge rock star with 15 top 40 singles. So many great ones to choose from, but here's an excellent one. Love Is a Battlefield.
