hey A quick question If my end goal to work at Australia as GP is it better to train in UK then move to Australia or just move there from the beginning?
Great question and unfortunately no obvious right or wrong way. The benefits of coming straight over is you can "start" life as in building meaningful social connections sooner rather than later. The downside is I have heard from the GP registrars at our practice that the current GP training program is not very good here in Oz... although it is allegedly changing for the better hopefully. You also might have to do supervised practice nowadays if you come over from the UK wanting to work as a GP.
@@GPONTHEMOVE is it competitive to get into the training though? I mean it is kinda accessible to get into gp training in the uk like how many years I'm expecting before i join the training
