3 Reasons NOT to come to Australia as a GP
That’s good 👍
Enjoyed the info. Thank You!
Is this in Australian Dollars or United State Dollars?
So, while applying for a job to Australia, should I look for independent contract or a salaried position? Not sure.
This video is so inspiring, thank you
How do you save the document to the patient record
Another great video for every GP trainee in Australia! I can add 2 resources worth mentioning here: - AMH (Australian Medicine Handbook): the BNF aussie version, really useful for quick doses look up! - Perplexity: An amazing ai-powered search engine, that is surprising much more accurate than Google in a lot of times! it can cite the resources for you, which is great for evidence based research on the go!
Brilliant!
These arent nervous tics. These are mild annoyances
What are all the steps to becoming a gp from high school to the end e.g what subjects
hi i cant find the OR 2 sheet you have mentioned?
Super helpful as ever, thanks so much Mike!
Will you be making a GP on the move audiobook for Australian guidelines any time soon? Pretty please! :)
I am a doctor,, really informative video indeed 🎉🎉
Fresh GP trainee here. Just commenting to say thank you; hoping it moves the needle something for the algo too!!! 😊. BTW, that's a really clean set-up & production you've got going there ! Cheers Mate !!!
Hey , I'm a GP ,I've some time in that i wanna make RUclips vedios ,could you help me guide e it ?
hahah this is wild
Hi Can you please do a video on how to check your daily billing and how much the Practice has paid you so far in total? Need to clarify if there are any pending payments for me from Practice. Many Thanks ❤
Am I allowed to disagree? GP partner since 1997. Many, many complaints. Of course they still hurt. Wait a day or two-but not 2 weeks. It just winds them up and adds to their frustration and perception of you being disinterested and incompetent. Don’t involve the defence unions unless really serious. Why? They have their own agenda. They encourage you to overly apologise and defend yourself for every complaint. Lots of legal terms thst make it look like you are being evasive. Most complaints are to do with communication. I usually pick up the phone and try and sort out the issue. If a mistake has happened I admit it and apologise. A defensive stance can trigger an escalation. If it is about communication then try communicating! With very hostile patients I get the practice manager to write a soothing letter. Put in something about reprimanding the GP. Do a significant event-keeps everyone happy. Appraisers like this sort of stuff. Coroners report-again I just write a clear and concise report detailing what happened. The defence unions want you to write very weird reports in legal language. Tends to irritate the coroner and you will get called to give evidence at a coroners inquest. Although this is a day out from surgery work it is extremely stressful and the environment is hostile. Avoid if possible. Just a personal opinion and not the party line.
You’re so nerdy and I’m so in awe of you
Amazing video keep going 👍
Very useful! Thank you dr.
Super informative, thanks. Are you aware of any good videos on commonly used NHS hospital software systems?
amazing . great TIP
Thank you so much. I wouldn't self doubt anymore😊

Can a simple man not doctor make homeopathy medicine video on yt please answer
Yes, you don't need to be a doctor, this is a free platform. I have a health chanel myself, and i only a biology teacher. Your audiance will tell you if they like you or not
Great video. It’s however important to inform the patient at the beginning, that you are typing what they are saying.
Hmm?? Is this a typo? Inform the patient that you are typing? :)
@@GPONTHEMOVE some patients may think you are typing something not related to the consultation, especially during phone consultation. :)

Hi doc thank you very much I decided to start my channel,, I’m a gp now interested in internal medicine can you help me with the important apps and how to make it good

waiting for a video on PBS meds and gp management plans
PBS is on the list :) so are management plans :) thanks for your comment
I am a GP trainee and this is the first I've heard of the 'jack of all trades' doctor, and I am gobsmacked. MY interest is dermatology and I am also interested in Wilderness medicine. Do doctors do a GPSI programme- where else would you get the training to do ops and surgeries? I am so intrigued by this. Thank you for the the info.
Hahaha, thanks for the comment. Where are you based? There are loads of courses both in the UK and Australia that help with minor surgery, I've done quite a few already and they have all been really informative. Here's one here - ruclips.net/video/vSDJl9EyGnI/видео.html
🎉
:)
Do phone consult to discuss results at least you are getting compensated for time then
:)
can you compare it with a GP or IM working in US. Cuz the way you mentioned it, it seems like Australian GPs make on par with American GPs with much less working hours.
I've actually never worked in the US so I don't know :) maybe there is a youtuber I can collaborate with. Do you know anyone?
@GPONTHEMOVE Honestly idk any GP youtuber working in US either. But I suppose you can contact Manik Madan, He's a psychiatrist working in US. He maybe able to collaborate you with anyone. If it does happen, do make a vid on it and try to do a comparison of the 2 Countries.
Thank you for this, it's very honest. Something I'm having trouble finding out is Where do you find Disclaimers so you don't get sued for giving medical advice, did you have to consult an attorney and purchase insurance for liability? Thanks so much!

Sir, what do you mean by 10 video block, kindly explain.
Ideally you would want to put out 1 video a week, but I found that difficult to sustain, so would do 10 videos and then have a month off and then repeat

Is there anyway to make a qrisk3 Template on emis - which calculates it without going to an external website? Thanks
I tried once but failed :/ ;)
health pathways seems to have been discontinued - is it now clinician assist? is that as good? i cant really navigate it well but dont know if because im still in the uk and its being weird!
It is now clinician assist which is the same thing but you have to now register for it. It's still free mind you
Here’s what you don’t understand. I have true verifiable chronic pain from a condition that can be seen internally. I have 24 years of increasing pain from a condition that made me unable to work. I’ve been on pain meds for about 23 years, and have never failed a drug test. Now they push me off methadone which worked and onto other drugs which have me sick enough that I’m in bed most days. This is total CRAP. Do your darn jobs and learn about the fact that the real abusers and overdoses almost come from drug abusers, not people like ME! I will continue to push back on my doctors until they stop getting afraid out of fear and ignorance and treat my pain appropriately!!! Condition is Interstitial Cystitis and Pelvic floor disorder, aggravated by the bladder pain they undertreat. It’s the moral equivalent of giving a patient only 50% of the chemotherapy drugs. The less pain they treat, the worse my muscles tighten, in a horrible painful cycle. It’s like living with the flu, plus the IC pain. (www.ichelp.org). Doctors are irresponsible and they hard chronically ill patients. Well too bad. Do your job! I’m tired of being more knowledgeable than my doctors. It’s astonishing how little they really know.
Doesnt answer the questiom
:) only you will know the answer for yourself
Excellent, please keep it up,
Thank you!
After watching this video, I feel I can start. Finally. Thanks for the tips.
Wonderful!

Hi, how do you search for ghost patients?
Hmmm, good question, can you elaborate a bit more?
@@GPONTHEMOVE I work in a large GP practice, and we are struggling to meet our target for smear test uptake. This is largely due to patients who are not responding to smear test recalls and have not visited the surgery in many years, yet they remain registered as active. This issue is significantly impacting our target. How can I filter these patients so they can be removed from the register? Currently, I am manually checking each patient individually to see when they last visited the surgery.
