Great episode, I follow the TSOT videos, always sick making to see all the great stuff I can't afford!
I used to go to Blackpool as a kid, late 70s, and the first thing I always did was go to the big branch of Lewis's department store at the northern end of the Golden Mile on the sea front. For some reason, probably to do with distribution, they always had the earliest releases of new toy lines in summer. The Denys Fisher Cyborg line, licensed from Takara, Micronauts and the newest waves of the Star Wars toys! Great times, but I was always limited by whatever spending money I had!
For some reason, my Mum always insisted I spend some of it on crap I didn't want, like presents for other people...and food. And clothes.
There was also a cheap shop in central Manchester Arndale Centre that sold all sorts of stuff including, for a limited period, the large Kenner Alien! I had one, but it got damaged and thrown away. Sigh.
    Great video!👍👍😁👋🍻

Small world, just started watching their travel videos and here you are chatting with them. :) I could see that, LEDs not being viable in cost in the 70s, some components take time before it works with the budget model.
Yeah I think that's what is happening with 90s toys, stockpile of things few people bought which have become attractive in the present Eg. I'd love a Bob Hoskins Mario now. TMNT was the big one, while Kenner Batman, Toxic Crusaders, and Bucky O'Hare had fans but in much smaller quantities Ie. many smaller tribes.
Having lived it, that era was pretty crappy for toys in design and quality, with movies that I liked a lot but could easily pass on all the toys made for them Eg. Demolition Man, Dick Tracy, Jurassic Park. Lastly all those figures based on comics that had some heat then but nobody really remembers them anymore.
