- We were sat at home with a few days off work and we saw an extreme weather warning across the UK so why not bug out to the highlands!
What should have been 7 hours driving turned into 18hrs with a bridge being washed away

It was a little bit of everything. I think 2 more days would have been good but it was still good for making some memories
Wow your van is brilliant and one hell of an adventure for you both. Nothing like making memories for yourself and your daughter, my kids are adults now and they often talk about the adventures we have had. Far better than a fortnight in Disney.

No one would have got to them that night and I wouldn’t want to be sat there so I had to have a bash.

If I had another vehicle with me I’d have carried on but I walked a bit further up and went waist deep in a ditch that you couldn’t see.

P,S 9 months driving sprinters 10 years ago the big rear wheel drive ones drift well mind the oxford motorway junction.

I once went through the monkey drive through at Knowsley safari park in my sierra 30 years ago, the little luvvies did so much damage I had to have the car re sprayed 😂

Great adventure. I live in an area of America where there are thousands of those Moose in the wild. My F-350 CrewCab 4x4 pickup would of had issues with them drifts even in 4x4. Nice to know what your vehicle is capable of.
I just wish I got the big ones I hit at speed. Unfortunately my camera person was making funny noises and refused to let go of the grab handles at that point 😂 thanks again David and I hope you are well.

The white stuff looks wet and cold! Seen it once in real life, didn't really like it.
Big thumbs up to how capeable the sprinter is. Like Land Rovers they get a bad rap in Oz due to mechanical and electrical issues that apparently plague them. You guys in the UK seem to have very little reliability issues at all.
I think the addition of suspenseful music, your daughter scripted to say "I love you daddy" at appropriate moments would have added some tension to the clips and get more subscribers!!!! TIC.
Once again, appreciate what you do, the excellent content and your positive can do attitude to life.

The snow where I pulled the van out was horrible because it’s was slushy but at the top of that pass it was quite good because it had been far colder so it was powdery and didn’t get you wet. It’s always strange that colder powdery snow is warmer and better to be in. I’m sure my van will need some work at some point but I’m blown away that Iv had it well over a year and only had to replace the voltage regulator on the alternator. I’m used to a weekly to do list on the Landy.

We have an Eberspacher diesel heater mounted under the floor of our VW T5 and it is silent apart from the rushing of air when running flat out, we are able to leave it on all night on 16*c and it keeps us nice and cosy also the Eberspacher pump makes no ticking noise whatsoever. I don’t know if underfloor mounting is feasible on a sprinter but it might be worth looking into.
It wouldn’t last. I do a lot of deep water crossings so I wouldn’t want it submerged.

Do you think or know If other 4x4 (maybe bigger) drivers when driving other vehicles say, yes its good but its not the---------------(insert landy , mog, dare i say jeep, land Cruiser etc).
