In regards to Y'shtola's vision in the "Paint me a picture with your words scene" I legit think she just wanted her boy Urianger to wax poetic. A lovely moment between two friends and a great resolution to that areas arc.

Having recently played through the MSQ again, can confirm that the Dotharl adopt a culture that believes in reincarnation, and they consider the soul inside to be the person, and not the body that soul resides. So, Sadu being a male soul, the current female body is of no consequence, and for all but reproductive intents and pourposes, Sadu is a man. One of the quests, I believe one that unlocks the Aether current, deals with one of the Dotharl not believing that people identified correctly the soul that inhabits his body, and in other points they refer to the anticipation of knowing who will come back to the clan when one of the members is discovered pregnant.
You don't have to be a man to have a "masculine" demeanor. I'm just happy that, as of Endwalker, Sadu is canonically into women and will 100% cockblock Magnai forever by stealing every girl from him.
I think Lyse is one of the most hard to understand characters in the game. She was putting on an act of being Yda, and she spent Stormblood anguishing over her imposter syndrome regarding being a leader/member of the Resistance, it's part of why she wants Ala Mhigo to transition to a Republic, she feels uncomfortable being handed any kind of absolute authority, that's why she asks Raubahn to join her post 4.0. The primary reason that she goes ahead and takes the mantle of leader is because Conrad, while dying, tells her that he believes in her, not her family name, and because of Hien inspiring her as someone her age with leadership responsibility that he takes on readily. While she continues to fumble after, she presses on because finally she accepted that Ala Mhigo is **her** fight now, not just a torch she's carrying for others. This is NOT written super clearly and suffers from the two writers used for Ala Mhigo and Doma respectively and the political storyline with tons of worldbuilding crammed in to make the world of 14 bigger to set up for the finale of Endwalker. That being said, if it takes an essay of literary analysis to partially redeem your waifu, she's probably trash.
Cirina is the incarnation of purity kindness and innocence and should been classified as it should be in the Cirina tiers carrying the whole universe solely by her adorableness.
Maybe it's my optimism, but Minfillia always struck me as the one Scion that didn't need our help to do her job, and just wanted us to do ours. Unfortunately, this also meant we never see her do her job. And she suffered the worst from ARR VA Syndrome on top of carrying the brunt of ARR quest design. S Tier is obviously topped Lilja, particularly for the moment the glasses came off. And let's be honest, even if Sadu identified as a woman, Sadu'd still be the husbando.
Your Yda/Lyse take is spot on. Papalymo and Yda both died that day. My favorite part with Yda was during the pre-HW quests with the Sylphs leading up to Ramuh. The Sylphs disguise themselves as the Scions, and the have to throw itching powder or whatever at them to break the spell, but hit each Scion with it as well. There's a part towards the end, if you talk to Yda before turning in the quest, she says something like the following: "So let me get this straight. Thancred is Thancred, Papalymo is Papalymo, and Urianger is Urianger. Oh, and if you're wondering, this one is Yda." ("This one" being how the Sylphs refer to themselves as) "It's a joke! I'm joking! Don't throw that powder at me!" Lyse never jokes. Yda was fun, Lyse is just kind of there.
They didn't remove it, you just have to physically talk to her during the quest when they're all grouped up waiting for you without interacting with the quest person (I forget who)

You don't get to see or deal with outing all of the Sylphs disguising themselves as Scions. While it was incredibly time consuming, especially so as flying wasn't in the game yet and with the level cap of 50, everything there would aggro to you (the frogs...). I'm not sad that it's gone, but I do think that the context makes Yda's joke a lot funnier.

Bro, Minfilia gets no love. She is the one that started the Scions of the 7th Dawn. Not all leaders have to fight. She help Urianger figure out how to take out the Ascians. She help the Domans find a place to stay in Mor Dhona. She along with Cid and Alphainaud changed the minds of the Leaders to surrender to Empire.
minfillia's issue is the writing. she could be cool but the writers completely sandbag her to being princess peach. obviously she doesn't exist except for the writers, so this will sound weird, but i think her concept was good, but silly writing never let her become what he backstory could have been. she basically could have been azem before we knew azem, but they were too busy trying to give screen time and agency to everyone else, and they just let her twist in the wind as a quest dispensing vendor. (the aetheryte thing never bothered me that much, horizon was like a 3 minute mount ride, and they gave me so many more of the tickets than i ever needed, eh)
Shtola is in her S tier and all is right with the world. 5.x giving her sassy dialogue options where she basically hints that she wants you to call her Mummy should elevate her to SS in my opinion but hey, this is your list and she's in the right place there.
I would rate Y'Sthola and Matoya even higher, simply if it Y'Sthola you get Matoya as MIL and if it Matoya you get Y'Sthola as daughter. If we looked at the time line Alisaie would be over 18 years old at the beginning of SB.

I do genuinely believe Minfilia and Lyse get a unfair treatment. For Minfilia I attribute it to her being one of the central plot points of ARR, which is the weakest part of FF14 by far, not to mention the writing's inability to show what her importance is for the scions beyond being the leader. If she had more time as actual Minfilia in following expansions I think there were a lot of avenues to follow which could have given her more room for development. Kinda like Tataru to be honest. She was a blank slate in ARR but really became a great addition to the scions, not to mention literally carrying the organisation on her back during early HW and ShB. Lyse on the other hand doesn't get much of a chance to do much in the scions before she leaves. It would have been great to see her doing more as the "muscle" of the group. More scenes of her tearing shit up and being the most combat capable other than the WoL, instead of not doing any fighting during stormblood and then just becoming the leader of Ala Mhigo. Hell it even seems that the writers wanted to remove her from relevancy by taking her out of the Scions so she wouldn't be relevant in further expacs.
I am replaying the story on an alt and am paying more attention and feel like I like Minfilla more the second time around. And I already liked her fine the first time. Also I realized that it straight up takes 4 characters to collectively fill her role in the scions after she leaves. I wish she had more time to shine in the msq before heavensward. I know she had a lot of development in 1.0, but I never played 1.0 and there's no way to go back and play it

Surprisingly I ended up either strongly agreeing or being okay with most of this tier list. Then again you put Dulia-Chai in a high tier so you kind of won me over with that alone.
I was OK with you putting Ysayle in C tier (you're wrong), and then you put Minfilia in F tier, and called her useless. Before I go on this rant, let me state I get this list is a joke, and lighthearted, but as someone who's seen the "Minfilia is useless" trope one too many times, I'm'a have out here. First off, she's a diplomat, not a fighter. Not everyone can go out and eat primals for breakfast (so glad they actually use that line in the MSQ finally, been saying it for years). Some people have to organize the useless city-states and keep them in line. That's what she does. The pen is mightier, all that. Second, she gets captured, yes--but what does it take to capture her? An entire bloody Garlean squadron lead by a legatus, who then proceeds to TORTURE HER EVERY DAY SHE'S CAPTURED (she doesn't bend, nor break), and when they threaten to torture the OTHER Scions, Minfila's response is "You touch them, I'm'a top myself, and then your precious lord Gaius won't EVER get what he's wanting." Yeah, real useless. Her second capture is by a literal Ascion. You know, those guys that take more'n a few of guys like US to kill? THOSE guys? And it's only AFTER we've been stripped of the so-called "Blessing of Light," and the piece of Space Candy has stopped talking to us, so yeah. Real. Fucking. Useless. Take that opinion and shove off with it. THIRD, she sends you to eat primals because the only other person that could is Arenvald, and well, we see how well that goes. There's not many people who can do what you do. Who ELSE is going to do these things? Right. Ysayle: She straight up tells you that the dragons killing the innocents was NOT her intent, and was NOT supposed to happen. So throwing that at her feet when she was fighting for peace between dragon and man seems a really shitty thing to do. But hey, you do you. She also doesn't have *any* communication issues, as a leader of people, she's obviously a great orator, she's just an idealist to the extreme. AND she sacrifices herself to save you. Which ya know, is better than Yifftola obfuscating about the damn soulstone of the dead Night's Blessed after you told her you weren't comfortable with that whole thing, fucking lying cat. But hey, you do you. No, I won't be answering any responses, and will in fact be muting this. Because seriously, I've said what needs to be said, and I'm dead tired of it.
Aren't pixies born from the souls of children, boys and girls? This would help explain them having no gender, being referred to by the personal pronouns of "them" and "their." They have the flat chests of males and the round hips of females. We don't know whether Feo Ul was a boy or a girl in their prior life. For some, then, a pixie can be a waifu, a husbando, or both, all wrapped in one.

Not sure why you harp on that "describe the stars to me" moment. She can see through Aether (whatever that means), so she wouldn't be able to see constellations etc. Not to mention the fact that those stars are quit far away and Aether might not travel as far as light. As for grabbing that potion: If it has any magic/crystal/aether shit in it, she can see it. But I forgot what kind of potion it even was so whatever.

Nope. Canon says that Alisae's body is actually still in the Source. So while her soul has aged a year or two in the First, she's physically still 16.

I do genuinely believe Minfilia and Lyse get a unfair treatment. For Minfilia I attribute it to her being one of the central plot points of ARR, which is the weakest part of FF14 by far, not to mention the writing's inability to show what her importance is for the scions beyond being the leader. If she had more time as actual Minfilia in following expansions I think there were a lot of avenues to follow which could have given her more room for development. Kinda like Tataru to be honest. She was a blank slate in ARR but really became a great addition to the scions, not to mention literally carrying the organisation on her back during early HW and ShB.
Lyse on the other hand doesn't get much of a chance to do much in the scions before she leaves. It would have been great to see her doing more as the "muscle" of the group. More scenes of her tearing shit up and being the most combat capable other than the WoL, instead of not doing any fighting during stormblood and then just becoming the leader of Ala Mhigo. Hell it even seems that the writers wanted to remove her from relevancy by taking her out of the Scions so she wouldn't be relevant in further expacs.
I am replaying the story on an alt and am paying more attention and feel like I like Minfilla more the second time around. And I already liked her fine the first time. Also I realized that it straight up takes 4 characters to collectively fill her role in the scions after she leaves. I wish she had more time to shine in the msq before heavensward. I know she had a lot of development in 1.0, but I never played 1.0 and there's no way to go back and play it

I was OK with you putting Ysayle in C tier (you're wrong), and then you put Minfilia in F tier, and called her useless. Before I go on this rant, let me state I get this list is a joke, and lighthearted, but as someone who's seen the "Minfilia is useless" trope one too many times, I'm'a have out here.
First off, she's a diplomat, not a fighter. Not everyone can go out and eat primals for breakfast (so glad they actually use that line in the MSQ finally, been saying it for years). Some people have to organize the useless city-states and keep them in line. That's what she does. The pen is mightier, all that.
Second, she gets captured, yes--but what does it take to capture her? An entire bloody Garlean squadron lead by a legatus, who then proceeds to TORTURE HER EVERY DAY SHE'S CAPTURED (she doesn't bend, nor break), and when they threaten to torture the OTHER Scions, Minfila's response is "You touch them, I'm'a top myself, and then your precious lord Gaius won't EVER get what he's wanting." Yeah, real useless. Her second capture is by a literal Ascion. You know, those guys that take more'n a few of guys like US to kill? THOSE guys? And it's only AFTER we've been stripped of the so-called "Blessing of Light," and the piece of Space Candy has stopped talking to us, so yeah. Real. Fucking. Useless. Take that opinion and shove off with it.
THIRD, she sends you to eat primals because the only other person that could is Arenvald, and well, we see how well that goes. There's not many people who can do what you do. Who ELSE is going to do these things?

They have the flat chests of males and the round hips of females. We don't know whether Feo Ul was a boy or a girl in their prior life. For some, then, a pixie can be a waifu, a husbando, or both, all wrapped in one.

Not sure why you harp on that "describe the stars to me" moment. She can see through Aether (whatever that means), so she wouldn't be able to see constellations etc. Not to mention the fact that those stars are quit far away and Aether might not travel as far as light.
As for grabbing that potion: If it has any magic/crystal/aether shit in it, she can see it. But I forgot what kind of potion it even was so whatever.
